Chapter 238: Everyone’s Change, The Battle's Beginning

The explosion's effects were a devastating one indeed, but like all things, it eventually faded, revealing its true majesty to all who survived. Within a deeper region of the annihilated HQ, Evan stood in silence as he calmly awaited everyone else.

In moments, a series of swooshing noises sounded, Joe, Rick, Emilia, Layla, and Breya had appeared from above, landing at his side with looks of confidence in their eyes.

Evan seeing their looks, smiled as he spoke, "You're all quite confident; I guess that you've all leveled up quite a bit from that EXP rush."

Joe smirked as he looked at Evan and replied, "Haha, more than that, with so much rich EXP, I've sprung all the way upward, it won't even take long for me to reach Level 13."

"Hehe, indeed, you truly are something to find such a cheat-like way of leveling," Breya said as he stared at Evan.

Evan shook his head and replied, "No, if I could figure this out, anyone else can."

As Evan said this, he recalled that this was a method experimented by one of the military groups in the future; he didn't know which, but it later became a standard method, mostly after many learned the trick behind how EXP was accumulated.

Rick had a sharp look in his eyes as he stared around the area and spoke, "So, where are they?"

When Evan heard this, he knew he was referring to Valoz and Pira; Evan replied, "They should be right up ahead, but as for their current state, it's hard to say. I can at least warn you that they won't be as simple as those High Elders from before, at the very least, I'll hold off Valoz as you guys quickly do your best to finish off Pira."

"Right, understood." Joe and the others replied as their eyes shone with determination.

On the other hand, Rick had a flashback of his battle against Pira, speed against speed; he clenched his fist tightly as he spoke as if convincing himself.

'I won't lose in speed a second time.'

Evan glanced at Rick and nodded his head before shifting his eyes away from everyone, he thought for a moment, recalling the changes in their stats.

After checking over the details, Evan nodded while thinking, 'With this much change, they should be more than able to take down that Pira, I only need to do my part with that Valoz, I shall finish him off here!'

Following those thoughts, Evan turned his sights onto the scene before him, staring at the massive pile of rubble that covered a wide-open area. There were flames scattered about in some area, burning as it sent plumes of smoke into the air.

"Layla, Breya, can you sense them?" Evan asked.

Breya closed her eyes and saw two ominous reddish lights hidden below the rubble, while Layla sensed a series of murderous wills, causing her face to turn slightly pale.

"They're definitely there; it doesn't seem like they've been injured much either," Breya said with a solemn look on her face.

"That's right, although I can't tell clearly, I can still feel their foul intentions, as well as rage."

Layla said as she regained her calm, trying to recover from the slight backlash. Evan smiled at this as his eyes shone with a reddish ray when he brandished his Havengaurd and spoke.

"Good, then since they don't want to move, let's start by flushing them out."

"Haha, good, this should be fun!" Joe said as he took a step forward, positioning himself a bit before everyone else as they each took on a more stern battle posture, readying their weapons to attack a moment's notice.

Instantly, everyone's body had begun to glow in bright, colorful lights, but as if something sensed them, the entire room had started to tremble as two ominous blood-colored lights burst out from the ground before them, soaring towards the heavens.

With a loud explosion, the rubble was sent flying into the sky as both Pira and the newly transformed Valoz had appeared within these lights, their figures shrouded by their genetic blood energy which rippled across the entire island, showing their immense power.

The lights faded quickly as their forms were once more revealed. Pira remained the same with only a few unusual markings over her body. Still, as for Valoz, he was now semi fused with the newly awakened ten meters large Genetic Blood Corpse, or rather, what was now the Genetic Blood Body.

"Huuumaaaannnnn! You will pay for what you've done! YOU HEAR ME!" Valoz shouted in an extremely enraged tone, such that it could be heard from the farthest edge of the island.

Evan chuckled at this with a stern look in his eyes as he spoke, "Valoz, I believe that we have a match finish, though it looks like your fusion wasn't as complete as I'd expected it, I suppose it's enough to finish things once and for all."

Valoz had a menacing look on his face as he glared at Evan before he glanced at Pira from the corners of his eyes; he then spoke, "Pira, kill those runts, as for him, I'll take care of him myself!"

When Pira heard this, she nodded before she replied, "Yes, master."

Following those words, the duo's body erupted with even more power, suppressing everything in the vicinity as it seemed that they were ready to unleash an assault.

Evan once more called out his Void Sword and held it along with his Havengaurd as he stared at Valoz. His body emanating his crimson battle power in full as he spoke, "Let's do it."

Joe and the others nodded as they too exploded with power as they glared at Pira, the scene hearing growing even more solemn as the energies from both sides clashed, creating devasting effects as it precursor the start of a grand battle.
