Chapter 244: Battling Valoz 2

Name:Ascenders Rift Author:ShadowsFinger
As the sky over the hidden island lit up with bright red lights, Joe, Layla, Emilia, Rick, and Breya had looks of alarm on their faces as they picked up their pace, hurrying over to aid Evan his battle against Valoz. Soon, the lights from the explosion of energy had started to fade as the scene was revealed.

At this instance, a cracking sound resounded as a semi-transparent space seemed to shatter to bits and pieces. Following this change, Evan's injured figure appeared from behind it with his mouth leaking blood. His face was a bit pale from using most of his energies to resist the overwhelming force from Valoz's surprise attack.

'Such a powerful attack; if I didn't have my Void Manipulation talent, I would have been a goner. Shit, I can't afford to get hit like that again...'

Evan thought to himself as his eyes grew a bit clearer. He swallowed the liquid from a DH Tube and tossed it towards the ground while ensuring to keep his focus on Valoz, noticing that his body was still emanating a dense amount of genetic blood power.

Valoz frowned as he saw that Evan was still alive from his previous assault. Still, he soon recovered, conjuring even more energies that caused his long hair to rise above his head, giving him a brutal presence due to his rich killing aura.

'I don't know how he survived, but he certainly won't be able to do it again! I want to see if he can survive my greatest strength! Primal Blood Form!'

With a shout in his mind, Valoz's body soon began to change. He erupted a massive amount of genetic blood power in moments that slowly condensed around his figure.

Not long after, the power condensed to the extreme before forming an even larger body outline, roughly half a size larger than the previous body. It was a giant that wore an unfamiliar blood-colored armor with a long cape, his two arms grasping a large axe that shimmered in cold lights, very much like the lights showed from his eyes that glared at Evan from the visors of a battle helmet.

The instant this happened, his body started to rise from the ground with slaughtering at the core of his mind as he levitated into the air. By now, his body, which was already coated by his immense blood genetic power was now imbued with his colorful Primal Psycho Force.

The moment Evan saw Valoz's change, his face grew cold; he knew this wouldn't be good; he gathered all of his body energy and spiritual power once more, erupting his full power to resist any of his attacks.

Valoz's body suddenly vanished as he blurred through the sky when flying towards Evan from a side angle.

'He's gotten even faster; I have to be careful,' Evan thought as he could hardly see his movements, he tried to trace his path, but as Valoz was much faster than him, it was a little bit tricky to react to his actions.

In a flash, Valoz appeared at Evan's side with his eyes showing a vicious look, he through a fist forward that swept through the air with a loud noise.

Using his battle will, Evan sensed the rich killing intent from his side, not daring to tank this directly; he spun his body and avoided the attack to the side, using the spin to bring himself at Valoz's side before chopped his two weapons towards his torso.

With a sneer, Valoz didn't even bother to dodge Evan's attack, he allowed for Evan's blades to cut into his armor, sending sparks before finally striking into his flesh, but as if he didn't have enough power, it could only inflict a surface wound.

Evan looked at this in shock, but he didn't' dare to dally for too long as he was experienced. He promptly pulled back his sword using the powers of space to pull his body to the side.

Swoosh! The instant Evan moved the axe in Valoz's arms chopped in the location he stood prior, showing that if he were a moment late, he would have certainly suffered a pitiful end.

"Executioner Slash!" Evan said as he chopped both the Void Sword and the Havengaurd towards Valoz once again, using his strongest offensive method.

The two blades sent two bright red arcs of baleful blade energies towards Valoz at high speeds, merging together in the form of a cross slash.

Valoz looked at this with a more serious look on his face; though he was in his strongest form, he didn't dare to look down on Evan's strongest technique.

"Primal Psycho Force!" Valoz said as he used one of his arms to conjure a barrier that blocked Evan's attack.

With a loud boom, both Evan and Valoz, which pushed back by the explosion of the attack, Evan didn't conjure a barrier in time. As such, he fell back with a bit of injury, unable to fix his stance.

However, as for Valoz, due to parrying Evan's attack with the barrier, he had still managed to keep his witts; he glared at Evan's figure that fell back in the air with a cruel grin as he placed his palms near each other and conjured a giant ball of energy.

If one looked, they would know that this technique was the Primal Psycho Beam, but unlike the one used prior, this one was more than double in size with an even more dreadful collection of power.

As he sensed death around the corner, Evan's face turned pale; he glanced at the Havengaurd, bringing up the stats before his eyes once again.

____

[Havengaurd - Rank 2: Low Grade (Upgradable) | 995/1000]

[Damage - 22] [Durability -15]

____

Evan's eyes showed a look of helplessness as he saw the current scene; he cursed inwardly at himself.

'Blast, it's still not enough. Will I die to this son of bitch?'

As Evan's thoughts ran here, his thoughts flashed back to their previous battle as he gritted his teeth and shouted in his mind.

'I can't fall here, not to this bastard!'

Following his thoughts, he used every bit of his strength to conjure another barrier with his void manipulation talent.

Valoz didn't even hesitate once he gathered enough power; he fired another blast from his Primal Psycho Beam that scattered before converting towards Evan from all sides in only a flash of time.

By this time, Joe and the others had already arrived near the battlefield, they prepared to attack Valoz, but by this time, Valoz's attack had already crashed into Evan.

With an explosion two times the size of the previous attack, the sky for the entire island shone brightly in red lights, even the earth shook from the terrifying impact.

Joe and the others looked at this ins shock and alarm, using all of their power to resist the shockwave that devasted most of the nearby surroundings. They all stared at the heavens hoping that Evan would show them a miracle, but suddenly, their faces turned pale as a different scene unfolded.
