119 Out of control

Before they knew what was happening, six different gigantic beasts all rushed out from between the trees, almost at once.

Immediately everyone took a stance, they had got to admit, they never expected this. Some were shaken though and scared out of their wits at the enormous beasts in front of them.

There was a Nundu, a Hippogriff, a three tailed bear, a Saamander, a leopard and a Blemmyae .

All these beasts were dangerous in their own way. There was the Nundu, a dangerous beast, even its breath was poisonous, let alone the Hypogriff, which was the offspring of a mare and a griffin.

Like a Griffin, it has the head of an eagle, claws armed with talons and wings covered with feathers, with the rest of its body being that of a horse.

Princess Cyrena drew out her sword and swung it a little in front of the beasts. She was brave, standing face to face with several magical beasts, she didn't fret. They were ready to pounce on her at any second, but something made them stop.

They growled and screeched as she looked them straight in the eye for some minutes, then lightly shut her eyes and hummed.

"Hmmm, aahhmmm!"

As she hummed, the wind blew, the trees sang with her, following her rhythm with the move of their leaves. On the other hand, the beast slowly calmed down as the wind carried the sweet melody to their ears.

Lady Lorelei who was watching got angry; her enchantment was wearing off and the beasts, calming down.

"You cannot thwart my plans, princess. Not if I can help it. El me sine cri dobre alachreche ereetismier."

After five minutes of humming, the once calm beasts started growling, roaring and screeching, Princess Avery opened her eyes and spoke to her troops with her face still forward, watching the angry beasts.

"They are under an enchantment. They are resisting my powers. At this point in time, there is but one thing left to do, stand and fight!!"

"Yes Princess, soldiers are we ready?" They hit their shield and bows on the ground as a manner of response.

Princess Avery raised her free hand, Lieutenant Callum understood what she was about doing and shouted, "On my count."

She dropped a finger and he shouted, "One…"

She dropped the second and he repeated the process. All of a sudden she clenched her hand into a fist and he shouted, "Attack!!"

They made a formation and attacked at top seed, at the same time, Lady Lorelei controlled the beasts to go on a full scale rampage.

*******

As they journeyed in peace, save for Astrid and the Little White Tiger-Phoenix Beast's occasional playing, they heard a loud growl and roar.

Everyone paused in their tracks as the sound took them by surprise. Well everyone, except Jareth. Quickly, he turned to White-Fire, his eyes searched hers and soon he could hear her in his mind.

"Running through the trees or flying high in the sky?"

"Right now flying is our best option. If they are headed towards us, we do not know how long they would take."

As they talked, the next thing they knew, they felt the growl and roar stronger, the earth shook at its quake with their every pounding and running.

Without wasting much time, Jareth rushed to Astrid's side and grabbed her by her hand. She turned her head to look at him, her eyes searching his for answer.

There was no time to explain what kind of beasts they were up against. Scratch that, he, himself couldn't figure it out with just their noise.

Astrid bent and picked up the Little White Tiger in her arms, Jareth directed her to White-Fire's waiting back. He helped her up and followed suit.

"Ready?" White-Fire asked Astrid.

She held on tight to the little beast and Jareth held her waist with one hand as he leaned in. "Let's go," she replied back.

Not waiting for another invitation, it flapped its huge wings, tilted itself back a bit, ran forward, flapping its wings as they took off and into the sky they went.

********

Far down as they fought, Princess Avery caught sight of something flying into the sky from where she was.

Her brows furrowed as she peered further ahead, she gritted her teeth and clenched her fists at her side, when she noticed what it was.

It was the celestial beast with the hybrid.

AHHH!!

The three-tailed bear rushed at her and swung its paws at her, she dodged in time, jumping backwards as its paws came crashing down.

She evaded the beast and attacked this time, using her mind, she raised her arms, soon the fallen trees and woods raised up with her and she directed it at the three-tailed beast.

It growled louder, getting angry at the sudden attack from two-legged being and launched at her.

She looked up quickly and couldn't find them as she lost sight of what she earlier saw.

"Screw you!" She shouted at the beast and attacked as well.

She raised her head and a fallen tree rose from the ground. She tilted her head to the side and the tree flew across and hit the three-tailed bear as it was about to attack her, flinging it to a nearby tree.

She didn't stop there and rushed to where the beast was. Immediately she lifted her hand and the tree the beast rested on moved. It stretched forth its branch like hands and held the beast tight against itself.

With her mind, she lifted up her sword from the ground and brought it over her head. With one last look, her gaze became fiercer, ready to launch her sword into the heart of the beast.

The next thing she knew something was flung at her, due to her heightened sense of perception, she felt it on time and jumped back.

A big rock came hurling her way, she raised her hand, ready to pulverize it to power when someone lounged in front of her and sliced through the rock. Lieutenant Callum gave her a nod as he went on to join the other soldier in their battle.

By now her hold on the tree had loosened, thereby freeing the three-tailed beast from its grip. Seeing death at its door earlier, the beast growled even louder and attacked.

"Crazy beast, know when you are beat. How about making you blind?" She said to the beast.

Both elf and beast stared at each other, the beast panting and growling and the elf, calculating and smiling.

She moved her hand and controlled the light from the bright sun, as soon as the three-tailed beast got within range, she parted her hands and a burst of bright light shone into its eyes.

It let out a loud growl as it staggered back away from the blinding light. Subsequently, it moved back till it hit the Hippogriffin, angering the eagle-mare like creature.

In anger, the Hypogriffin turned and scratched at it, flapping its wings wildly in the process and hitting the Nundu.

Before they knew what was happening, the animals fought against each other, except the three-tailed bear. By the time it opened its eyes, it got itself back and looked confusingly at the scene before its eyes.

It caught sight of the princess, ready to launch an attack at it and it growled in utter surrender. Confused, Princess Avery stepped back away from the beast as it bowed its head to her.

"Finally, it has gotten itself back. The light disrupted the enchantment. That's it, light from the pure sun," Princess Avery mentally noted as a wicked grin curve up her lips.

She turned her head and watched the other beasts, an idea popped into her head. "If I can use more and get them together, hmm!"

She called out to the soldiers at the top of her voice, "Round them up by all means necessary. The light erases the enchantment."

They all looked at her and saw her pointing at something; their eyes followed the line of her gaze as she looked up triumphantly at the three-tailed bear.

Seeing this gave them more moral, at least now they didn't have to kill the beasts again.

~ELVEN PALACE- THRONE ROOM~

King Regin sat majestically on his throne, he seemed to be in deep thought about something, but was interrupted when the door opened.

In came two figures, as they approached the throne, they both bowed down to the King.

"Greetings, Your Majesty," they said in unison.

"Rise!"

"Your majesty, we cannot seat back and wait for a few soldiers to catch the hybrid. We must take action and flood the forest with more troops."

"Isn't that what we are doing Aelfdene? We have soldiers combing the forest, stationed at every exit, waiting for her."

"True but…"

The door to the throne room opened again, as the Crown Prince marched in with great strides.

"Greetings father," he said with a bow.

"Your Highness," the men greeted as they bowed their head to him.

"Rise!" King Regin replied. "What news have you son?" He asked Prince Terence, a sign of interest appearing on his face at his son's troubled countenance.s

"Father, Avery is gone."

"What!"
