248 If It Would Fit?

Jareth slid his wandering hands down her exposed thigh enjoying the smoothness and softness on her bare skin.

Just when his hands were getting closer to their destination, a knock came on the door to their house, putting an abrupt stop at what was happening.

KPAR! KPAR!

Both of their eyes shot open and stared at each other, then moved almost at the same time another knock came.

"Yes?" Jareth managed to ask, his voice deep and laced with impatience as he awaited a reply.

"Jareth, Astrid, are you in there?"A feminine voice called out.

"Yes. I am coming," Astrid's voice called out.

Jareth returned his head to her, he had a disapproving look in his eyes as he did not want her to leave.

"Someone is at the door." She gestured with her eyes at the door to further buttress her point.

"Don't go anywhere. I would check it out." Astrid nodded and watched as he closed his eyes, took a deep breath before he got up and left the bed.

Before he made for the door, he adjusted her gown back, covering her skin, shielding her from prying eyes.

By the time he was at the door, he adjusted his shirt so it could drape over his bulge and turned to look at her once more before his hands touched the door and pulled it open.

He was careful not to open the door wide and opened it a fraction so his body could prevent anyone from viewing what was inside the house.

As soon as the door opened, his eyes met with a red-haired woman. It was Katrina. He arched his brow at her and gave her a questioning gaze, silently asking her what she wanted.

"Hello, Jareth."

"Hello."

"Is Astrid inside?" Katrina asked with a bright smile on her face.

"Yes, she is resting. Is anything wrong?"

"No. It is great then, you two can come on over for dinner. We normally host a gathering every twice in a week and just eat together and since you both just came, it would be a nice way to blend in with everyone. You can also have something to eat as you do not have food supplies yet."

"Oh, I see. Thanks. When is it starting?"

"In a couple of minutes. Twenty maximum," Katrina informed him.

"Okay, we got it. We would come."

"Great. See you two in a while and my regards to Astrid."

"I will."

He smiled at her and bade her goodbye before closing the door as soon as the woman turned and walked away.

He turned around to look at her, she was staring at him with questioning round black eyes, expecting an answer as soon as the door closed.

Jareth let out an exasperated sigh as he moved closer to the bed. His eyes still glued on her beautiful face.

"Who was it?"

"Katrina. They are having a get-together kind of a thing and they want us to come," he informed her.

"Oh. When?"

"Soon, in about twenty minutes from now or so."

Jareth who was watching her noticed a trace of slight disappointment in her voice. He could not really say why but something told him it was because of the interruption.

As much as he loved what just went on between them, he could not deny the fact that he was happy it did.

If they weren't interrupted, he did not know if he could have stopped himself. They were both far gone in their intimate moment and he forgot himself, forgot why all these were not right.

Forgot why he held back all along. These feelings, as much as they were new and nice, it was still strange to him. He felt like he was going too fast, moving very fast.

His mind could barely keep up with the recent activities he had been engaging himself in. His body, soul and heart were aching with need for her, but his mind kept on probing him.

He could not seem to ever quench this yearning, insatiable need to want to kiss and hold her anytime they were close to each other.

He did not know what these feelings were. Was it love? He couldn't tell. He had never felt this way for anybody.

Even his late brother that he loved so much, he did not feel this kind of yearning. Although he longed to be with his brother, he still could not deny the fact that it was due to the fact that he was dead and ever coming back, but Astrid's case was different.

She was there with him, but it felt as though she was still far away. So far that no matter what he did, he felt he could never reach or touch her.

Finally, he let out a sigh, raising his hands to rub his hair and used his fingers to comb through it. This single action did not go unnoticed by Astrid.

She watched as his hands moved up, raising his shirt up with him and exposing a part of the muscular torso.

She gulped as her eyes drifted down from where his shirt was to his lower stomach and stopped at his bulge. He was still rock hard down there.

Astrid couldn't help wondering if it did not hurt him to be like that.

Unfortunately for her, Jareth saw her eyes eat him up through his lashes and when he lowered his hand, she looked up, her gaze locked with his.

Her already half reddened face that was beginning to go back to his original colour started turning red again.

He caught her red-handed. From the look he gave her, she knew he caught her staring at his little monster and turned her face away.

Jareth smiled and walked over to where she was on the bed. "I caught you staring. I wonder what is going through your mind now, Astrid."

She snapped her head to look at him. "I wasn't thinking about anything. I just wondered if…"

"If it would fit?"
