260 Master, Avenge Me!

"Jackpot!"

Immediately Linah's hand came in contact with Avery's shoulder, she turned around so that Linah's hand was now on a different shoulder and grabbed at it with her right hand.

Before Lita or Linah could react, she had kicked the latter on her stomach, pushing her away to the side.

Linah regained herself and moved in, throwing a punch at Avery.

Avery ducked and picked Lita up from the ground and threw her behind.

Just as Linah got up, Avery lunged for her and kicked her hard on her stomach. Soon a good fight ensued amongst them.

Avery did not give them any break as she knew once the trainers had the opportunity, they would deal her a solid beating and not let her escape.

It was her stubbornness and she knew, but she could not sake away this feeling that something bad would happen and the thought that her only brothers would be in danger made her throw caution to the wind.

She knew her father would be so mad at her, but she would never forgive herself if anything happened to her brothers.

In no time the guard outside heard the fighting within and after some pondering, they quickly opened the door to see what was going on, a mistake on their part.

As soon as they entered, they met the two trainers tied up on the floor and Princess Avery, nowhere to be found.

They quickly turned around only to met with a good blow on their backs and both fell onto the ground.

Before any of them could get up, Avery sprinted for the door and locked them in when she came out.

"Perfect. Now, no one can stop me."

With that, she took to her heels and managed to evade every single guard lined up in wait for her by taking a different and secret path.

All through her escape she felt she was good and one step away from her mother. Before long, she got to the weaponry and sneaked some weapons away then found a horse and rode off.

By the time the guards got up and untied the trainers, Avery was long gone.

The doors to Avery's chambers swung open and the queen walked in. Quickly all four of them bowed their heads to greet her.

"Forgive me your majesty," Linah quickly apologized, her back properly lowered to the queen.

"Hmm, rise. You would never have been able to stop her."

"Your majesty, I would chase after her at once."

"Forget it. You were not the main hold. She fell for it."

Running with her horse on full speed Avery could see the gates to the palace coming into view and knew she was free. Once she crossed the gates, then it would be the full kingdom.

There was no way the guards would find her let alone stop her when she was mxed with the crowd.

A huge grin curved up her cheeks as she rode on.

"Just a little bit more."

'Mother, father… you send just one soldier to stop me. How naïve do you think I am anyway to not anticipate you would try to stop me?' she said inwardly and kept on going.

By the time she came closer to where the figure stood, she instantly pulled on the reins of the horse and brought it to an abrupt stop when she noticed who it was that was going to stop her.

Green and black fluttering robe, with the royal symbol on it and long whitish blonde hair. Even though the person had his back to her, she could tell out rightly who he was.

There was no doubting it. This was…

"Father!"

At the same time he turned and the look in his eyes gave her the creeps as he shot her a deadly cold glare.

Before she could respond or say anything, he moved…

More like disappeared on for him to appear behind her in the air and lounged for her neck.

Kpar!

With one hit at her upper back, Avery collapsed and lost consciousness. King Regin landed on her horse and sat back down, then took control of the reins and turned the horse around, heading right back for the palace.

~OUTLAW'S VILLAGE~

The next day came and preparations were made for the get together. All the women became extremely busy in preparation for the mini feast as this was also a celebration for Clive's recovery.

As usual, Jareth barely talked with Astrid but she ignored it and kept it in good faith as she hoped her plans tonight would yield something good and probably make him come out of his shell.

~~It was already noon time, the period when Cari finished whatever work was assigned to him and come to meet her so they could hang out but rather than follow him as expected, Astrid declined telling him she needed to assist Katrina and the others some more.

"I am busy right now, Cari. Perhaps some other time we would hang out." Astrid tried her best to sound as polite as she could while literally driving him away.

"Okay, some other time like when, later in the day when you are done?"

"No, I am afraid I would not finish on time, besides, I would need to relax before I prepare for the get together."

"This evening perhaps?" He asked again, his hope raised up that he could perhaps steal her time during the get-together.

"I am sorry. I doubt about this. I have some things I need to do during that time as well. Today is not just a good day."

"Okay tomorrow and do not refuse me, Astrid."

"I do not know. Let us see what the new day would bring, shall we?" she tilted her head a bit to the side and a small smile broke out on her lips in a friendly manner.

After some seconds, Cari finally agreed. "Okay, let us see what it would bring."

"Astrid!" Sabrina called out o her, pulling her attention away from the merman.

"I would be there in a second," Astrid conveyed her message to the older room and returned her gaze to Car, giving him an apologetic look. "I have got to go now, bye."

She quickly took off and dashed towards where the ladies where. That was a nice save and less awkward.

She was happy she could chase him away without making it seem like she was chasing him away.

'One step crossed, all that remains his grumpy Jareth.' Astrid though and pulled her thumbs out in her mind, further encouraging her goal.

By the time they were gone Jareth raised his head from what he was doing and his eyes seemed to linger on where she stood few minutes ago.

After some seconds, he returned to what he was doing.

By the time Astrid was done with all the tasks and chores of the day, she found Snow and together both of them went back to their house.

"Master, you look gloomy. Are you still sad about Jareth's cold behaviour?" Snow blurted out.

Although he had initially decided to keep off and let the adults settle their own problem, he could not help butting in after seeing his master's cheerful nature turn soar.

"No, I am not."

"Do not lie to me master. I share a link with you remember? I know how you are feeling and I must say, your gloomy nature is terrible. It puts so much weight on my chest."

"Arfe you reprimanding me or you are petting me?" She did nto understand her cute little beast at times.

"Sigh… master both. You deserve better than what you are doing to yourself. And since your heart is captured by Jareth, why not sit him down and ask him head on what is going on?"

'Am I receiving advise from a beast?' Astrid thought t herself before looking at Snow.

"Thanks, baby. I honestly missed you these past days. What have you been doing when you are not with me?"

"A lot of things master."

"Like what? Sleep? Cause all I see you do when I return s sleep, sleep, sleep."

"Oh, master, if only you know I have been suffering," Snow complained and went ahead to take his position on her lap, settling himself to relax.

Her eyes shot open at his remark. "Suffering! What suffering? Did anyone harm you?"

She knew she had been too busy and had ignored him, but then she never saw it around and neither did she sense any form of danger coming from him.

"No. I wasn't harmed but... " his face fell as he rose his head to look at her.

"If you call tickling me and overly rubbing my fur and wings, harm, then yes. These people always pounced on me when I took a stroll each day and made me laugh till I literally passed out or they get tired????. Master avenge me!????"
