332 Did I Scare You?

CHAPTER 332

By the time Marceline and her daughter arrived outside the prison where Isadora was kept, they could feel the strong vibrations rushing towards them and after some time it would stop.

"What is that damned woman doing?" Marceline shouted from where she was with her daughter.

She could not believe Isadora was determined to cause such a commotion. What was she trying to do? Alert the whole Alacia of her presence or what?

Before both parties knew what was going on. They felt a strong vibration rush at them in the water, pulling with a big wave.

"How dare her!"Marceline yelled as the strong underwater wave was about hitting her and her daughter and quickly stretched forth her hand in front of her and her hand began to glow a shining cyan blue light.

Immediately the underwater wave stopped but that did not stop it entirely as it stayed strong, pushing against her, resisting her powers.

"Arrghh!" Marceline added her second hand to strengthen her powers and push back the wave for it to calm down.

Her brows creased as she could feel the force coming from the wave pushing hard against her powers.

Still, nothing was stopping it and her anger rose, frowning deeper, she twirled around and swam higher and a bit farther from the wave and directed her powers at the waves.

The force she used this time was much stronger and it eventually calmed down the underwater wave and made it settle like the peaceful ocean it was.

Kaia who had never once seen her mother put in much effort in controlling a wave was left perplexed by what had just happened.

The mer-queen actually felt resistance from the water. The very element that should obey her.

"Ughh! Where is that crazed half breed?" She hollered for the second time again and swam at full force towards the prison gate.

But before she could get any close, something like a water whip caught her wrist, pulling at her hand and preventing her from moving forward.

She turned her head at the direction the water whip was coming from and found out that t was her daughter that was controlling it.

"What is the meaning of this Kaia?" Her face held no smiles in them. All that remained was pure rage as her eyes blazed with untold anger.

"Mother, the magic field surrounding the prison. Be careful and let your anger go else you would do more harm than good to yourself," Kaia warned her.

It was at this time her frown faded and realization dawned on her. She was rushing face forward to the very same barrier she had put to guard the prison.

Kaia slowly let go of her control on the water whip and waited for her mother to calm down before swimming forward to where she was.

It was still had to believe that she got riled up by Isadora without the latter even seeing her or riling her up with her sharp mouth.

The next second they hit something and a shining green wall immediately disintegrated, creating a path for them to pass through.

"Come on."

Both mermaids swam fast, with Marceline removing every single barrier and gate in their way till they got to the source of the problem.

As soon as they got to about three feet from the big cage that held Isadora in, both of them stopped in their tracks and gaze at what looked like a dead Isadora.

"Mother," Kaia started to say but paused and took a closer look at Isadora."Is she dead?"

Marceline squinted at the figure inside the water bubble in a lying down position and her brows knotted.

"She is nowhere near dead. It would be too easy for her to die like that. She is far too stubborn to give up or die."

"Hahaha hahaha…" A burst of bewitching laughter rang out in the entire prison, giving an eerie feeling to the hearers making a chill run through the spine of all those who heard it. "Haha hahaha…"

The laughter continued but they could not see Isadora's lips moving or her facial expression as her hair was blocking their view of her but that only made the situation look more disturbing since the echo of the laughter reverberated everywhere.

Kaia and Marceline had their heads turn roundabout, looking for the source of the laughter as they had begun to doubt the source being from her.

Looking at both confused mermaids now, they looked like people watching a horror movie in a movie theatre, only that now, this was so real and true.

After some seconds have gone by, the laughter slowly died down and a dead calm enveloped them all.

"Mother," Kaia called out to her mother again. Marceline could feel the slight trembling in her voice and knew that whatever that was, had really played its part in frightening her daughter.

"Only one way to find out where the sound is coming from and if she is indeed dead or her spirit just decided to linger here."

As Marceline spoke, she raised both hands in the air forming a sharp crystallized water spear and aimed it at Isadora.

"You wouldn't dare." A sharp-tongued reply immediately answered unasked question and Marceline's lips tugged upwards into a side smile.

"You think?" Marceline's brow raised up at the still lying form of Isadora.

"I know."

Just like a floating majestic being, Isadora let the water around her lift her bubble up and she effortlessly rose in the bubble, suspending in the air.

If one could see her now, they would know just how much of a Queen she was. So beautiful and true.

"You weren't dead, just faking." Marceline's voice rang out.

It was then Isadora opened her eyes to look at her two naughty visitors. "Did I scare you?"
