Chapter 5 - Avoid Entanglement

Ch.5 Avoid Entanglement

Chen Sinan threatened her to stay out of his sight. As she sobbed on the floor, Xin Qiancheng squatted down next to her and lifted her up. He advised: “I told you before that he’s not the man for you. Chen Sinan is not the kind of person you can force or keep by your side. Now you finally know right?”

His sister cried so hard that her tears fell like rain. She retorted fiercely: “But what can I do? I just love him!”

Xin Qiancheng’s face darkened and he looked at her silently.

The man isn’t interested in you at all even after all you’ve done to pursue him. He was quite clear in expressing his rejection. In that case, why not let go and just live freely?

The current Xin Siyue also felt some sympathy for Xin Qiancheng at that time. In fact, there was nothing he could do to convince such a stubborn person.

With these thoughts, Xin Xiue drifted off to sleep.

By the time she woke up again, it was early in the morning.

This time, the person sitting in front of the bed was the villainess’ beautiful mother.

Xinyue considered that since she had transmigrated into the world, she had yet to find a way to return back to her own. There is the saying ‘only those who recognize the trends of the times can become outstanding figures.’ Perhaps the way for her to return was by letting nature take its course and simply wait for the male and female protagonists to write their happy ending. Whatever happens after that is none of her business. But before the ending, she must reduce her already small sense of existence and not get entangled with them. That way, everything should turn out fine, right?

As for the villainess’ tragic end at the male protagonist’s hands, she believed that this was no longer a problem! Why? Because she wasn’t the real Xin Siyue, and the current her had no feelings for Chen Sinan whatsoever!

While she was deep in thought, her mother gave a long sigh. “Siyue, there are so many good men in the world. Although that Chen kid is exceptional, you are the eldest daughter of our Xin family, meaning there is a long line of excellent men waiting for you in the future. And who knows if your tastes change someday? Let’s not pursue this any longer.”

Upon hearing this remark, she silently thought to herself: ‘Wow, with this kind of mother, the villainess really wasn’t worthy of her own parents! But maybe it’s not so good that she’s boasting about her daughter too much?’

Then the next second, Xin Siyue’s thoughts were thrown in turmoil! ‘Wait, does that mean the villainess already knows of Chen Sinan at this point? So she’s already in college?’

“Mom?” Xin Siyue asked weakly: “How old am I right now?”

Mother Xin gazed at her with incredulity and asked, “Did you really forget everything?”

“I forgot,” Xin Siyue nodded.

Well, if her daughter has forgotten everything, then that must include Chen Sinan. Since they will simply meet as strangers in the future, it’s all for the best!

With a complicated look on her face, Mother Xin immediately called for the doctor.

After the doctor examined her, his lines were no different from those in a drama series: “Based on her circumstances, it is presumed that her concussion led to a partial loss of memory.”

“What do you mean?” Mother Xin asked anxiously.

“To put it simply, it’s amnesia.”

It was Xin Siyue who said this before the doctor could open his mouth.

Left speechless, the physician couldn’t help but glance at her.

Meanwhile, faced with the man’s unspeakable look, Xin Siyue laughed and said, “Doctor, I’m very much aware of my health.”

Mother Xin, who didn’t know what words to say for a while, finally said, “You mean, amnesia?”

The doctor looked at Xin Siyue helplessly and nodded.

Mother Xin’s eyes reddened as she looked at her daughter’s tearless face. Her heart ached for her child.

Xin Siyue mentally rolled her eyes. What was she worried about? It’s not like this condition was a terminal disease, plus she didn’t actually have amnesia. Actually, she knew way too much when it comes to the plot, but right now, she couldn’t name people based on their faces. That’s why she still needed to use amnesia as an excuse.
