That man nodded at Chen Sinan and then walked towards Shi Shi.

Xin Siyue looked confusedly at Chen Sinan. He smiled and reassured her.

Xin Siyue was shocked and her gaze followed the two. She watched as one of them took out a pair of handcuffs from their back pockets.

Xin Siyue stared at them and couldn’t help but think: they’re police?

As expected, the man who seemed to be familiar with Chen Sinan took out his ID and said with imposing manner, “Miss Shi, I am the leader of Sheng Jin City’s criminal police squad. We have reliable evidence and witnesses to prove that you have attempted twice to murder someone. Now, we are going to arrest you.”

The moment the man revealed his status, the staff all gasped except Shi Shi. She remained unmoved. “Do you guys have proof that I killed someone? If not, don’t think about arresting me!”

“Come to the police station with us and we’ll make sure you’re convinced.”

“I won’t go!” Shi Shi widened her bright eyes. “Leave me alone! You guys have no right to arrest me! Let me go!”

The other young man by the leader’s side walked over and easily subdued Shi Shi who was trying to escape. The clear sound of the snapping of handcuffs rang. Xin Siyue captured Shi Shi’s strange and horrific gaze on her. “It’s you guys! It must be you guys! Chen Sinan, Xin Siyue, you guys are trying to frame me, right?! I never murdered anyone. You guys aren’t even dead. I didn’t murder anyone. I didn’t murder anyone!”

That man held her two shoulders forcibly and suppressed her. He said sternly, “Leave whatever you have to say at the police station!”

“Take her away.” When the leader said that, Shi Shi was brought away.

“Xin Siyue! Don’t be too happy! I will definitely come back! I will definitely live longer than you! When the time comes, I’ll have you see how you will die! Wait for it!”

People’s scalps felt numb at the ear-piercing voice.

While Xin Siyue knitted her eyebrows and was in a trance, the leader said, “I’ll interrogate her and notify you of the result.”

Chen Sinan said, “Thank you.”

That man smiled and said, “Ever since I knew you, you never asked me to help you with anything. This time, you actually asked me so I naturally can’t just do nothing. Although it might take some time to investigate this, don’t forget that you owe me a favor!”

“Of course.” Chen Sinan laughed.

“Ok, on the day of your wedding, remember to call me.”

“No problem.”

The leader continued, “If you have time, bring your woman to the police station so we can record what happened and go through the procedures.”

“Ok.”

After Chen Sinan bade farewell with him, he turned to look at Xin Siyue and asked, “Since the guest is going to the police station, does that mean you can get off work earlier?”

Xin Siyue’s eyelashes slightly trembled. So, just how long has Chen Sinan been planning this?

She couldn’t understand the process. In the morning, Xin Qiancheng clearly told her that they couldn’t find any evidence or witnesses. How did the police end up arresting her in the afternoon now?

On the way, Xin Siyue couldn’t help but ask, “What happened?”

Chen Sinan’s slender fingers were tapping and creating a rhythm. He looked out the window, clearly in a great mood. The blue sky, white clouds, and the bright sunshine. When he heard her question, he turned around to ask, “What?”

Xin Siyue quietly glanced at him before gradually smiling. “Although I don’t know her that well, I don’t think she’s the type of person to repent and mend her mistakes.”

“What you’re saying is…”

“I don’t mean anything. I just think it’s quite bizarre for someone like her to be alive.”

Chen Sinan reached over to hug her. He comforted her and said, “There are all sorts of people in this world. It’s nothing strange. After seeing many of them, you get used to it.”

“That’s true. Ten years should be enough.” Xin Siyue said and then added in her heart: who knew if this world could last another ten years…

Was this an unrealistic story or a dream? She couldn’t tell the difference anymore

If Shi Shi was saying the truth, time would stop after two years of his marriage. Did that mean everyone would continue to exist or disappear? Will she die? Or return to her previous world? Or would this be put to an end?

She couldn’t tell.

“What are you thinking about?” Seeing that she was in a trance and her tightly knitted eyebrows ever since Shi Shi was arrested, Chen Sinan asked a bit anxiously.
