Then Lu Meili continued, "This will allow someone to place or repeat any form of thought as a dream without anyone noticing. They won't know if it is real or not.

"What if they see their loved one's passed away repeatedly inside their head? That would be interesting, right?"

Lu Meili resumed with her explaining enthusiastically, "Who knows what will happen and all the other things that it could do in the future? What if it is possible for the technology to eventually allow anyone to see anyone through with that chip alone?" She said excitedly to the point that her eyes seem to be sparkling.

"But…" Lu Meili suddenly frowned and released a deep breath before she shook her head dejectedly.

"What is wrong?" Long Cheng asked concerning, "Are you in pain somewhere?"

Lu Meili shook her head, "I just remembered something about that technology."

"Something? Is that good or bad?" Long Cheng questioned eagerly. He was amused by the prisoners' reaction, which was 'silence'. This was entertaining as they seem to not care about anything earlier, even when his uncle threatened with no food.

"What? Please go on and continue. This technology that you are talking about sounds so interesting and has a lot of potential." Long Kael encouraged with a smirk on his face.

Long Kael was enjoying himself with what Lu Meili had said. In fact, judging by how Long Cheng looked at his mate dotingly, also seemed to mean that he was happy with what he was hearing.

Why not? Their conversation alone was enough to torture the prisoners mentally. There was a high chance that Long Kael would consider this as a future investment for the country after all.

Aside from that, he was also entertained enough to give time for Lu Meili to speak and delay with his original reason for visiting.

He was curious to know about the new things that seemed to be available or in progress in the other planets. Magic and science appear to be advancing more together than separately, and there was no harm knowing these things just so they could prepare in case.

Long Kael also knew that Lu Meili's words were credible regarding advance technology.

Earlier, Long Kael was able to talk to his general regarding the background check that he had requested when the elders left the palace with the visitors earlier.

The information that General Wang got was from the Universal Space Database that the Planetary Union had for both civilians and criminals they had listed from the registered planets.

So what about the unregistered ones? Long Kael would not worry about that in the meantime.

From that data, they learned that Long Cheng's mate was from Planet Orcus. In fact, they also learned that her maternal family was part of nobles of the planet making things complicated.

No need to mention the noble part, her being a registered citizen of planet Orcus was enough for him to say that Lu Meili was someone knowledgeable.

It was widely known how advanced the information and technology was in Orcus, both for magic and science.

Any creations like machines or artifacts that were branded and proven from Orcus were costly and sought after.

In truth, Long Kael was delighted to have learned of this fact. That was because if Lu Meili would live in the palace instead of being executed, they could take advantage of her knowledge to improve a lot of things.

Lifestyle and security could be improved on top of her being a competent mage as well.

Long Kael just hoped that the elders would not try anything stupid just like what they had done earlier in the throne room in front of outsiders. It was a good thing that someone had invited the Shenxi Galactic Cruise Corporation for the trial.

However, the last dated entries on the records were from five years ago, which was suspicious.

Because of this, it would be hard to convince the elders that Lu Meili had a reputable background, and it seemed wiser to decide on a thing somewhat based on the current space standards.

Nevertheless, Long Kael commanded General Wang to send a message to Lu Meili's family. He could delay the trial and look for other options, while waiting for the delegates of coming from Orcus.

Long Kael released a deep breath as he wondered what would happen if they ended up having a significant conflict with the Orcus planet. It might not be entirely because of their noble citizen but other things like experimentation.

This was not something that he could guarantee as a king. The dragon shifters might be a dominant race compared to them being in Orcus, but their connections were unmistakably massive and could not be brushed off.

Long Kael would also like to know more about the woman that seemed to be significantly connected to his mate.

With that in mind, Long Kael's gaze shifted to Lu Meili's stomach with bright tattoos that were coloured and designed differently to what his mate had. However, he has the feeling that the same artist had made them.

'Is my mate from Orcus as well?' Long Kael asked himself silently as he watched Long Cheng coax his mate, who was looking at him with a raised brow. He wanted to know more about his mate, and his desire for her to be alright as soon as possible was more significant than anything.

"Meili, tell me. What is the problem with this technology? We cannot use it?" Long Cheng asked almost demandingly. He was so curious as it was seldom to see his mate being enthusiastic but suddenly backed to being reserved.

"You can use it, with the right price. It still needs great improvement though, meaning it is not wise to invest in it so soon." Lu Meili said suggestively, "However, if you are willing, you can discuss a deal with the planet ambassadors to use your prisoners as test subjects…" She added carefully as she tried to read Long Kael's expression.

Long Kael nodded his head as confirmation that he was not taking offence, and said in a soft tone, "Continue."

"Well, that is the best option. You might even get paid because of that. This prisoner looks so strong too so they can surely endure the entire test that scientist would do. That sounds promising actually. Just seeing someone getting confused about what is real versus what is not is a good form of study. How long a prisoner will last or how he the brain will respond? Will it-"

"Shut up, woman!" Prisoner 177 screamed, suddenly cutting off Lu Meili's hypothetical questions regarding the experiment. He was clenching his teeth from the floor of his cell while glaring at Lu Meili.

For Prisoner 177, he could endure all the physical pain, but the possibility that his thoughts and choices were controlled and affected by someone else was maddening.

Lu Meili shifted her gaze towards Prisoner 177 then to Long Kael, "If you decide to use this technology, you could try it on him first. He looks strong enough to withstand any brain explosion."
