Chapter 29 - New Masks

Jeff had arrived in the cave ready to check in on T-Chaka, when Sebastian congratulated him " good work sir".

Jeffery was confused and rose his brow to show, "for what exactly?" "well saving captain Stacy of course." Sebastian replied as he played the video of the batarang appearing in the nick of time saving the newly instated captain.

Jeff frowned as he came closer replaying the video a couple of times before speaking up, "that wasn't me". His words had stunned Sebastian, "but how?" "someone must have taken my bstarang from a former fight scene and it must be recent too considering, it managed to block a blast from those weapons which none of my old batarangs would have been able to do so this must be the enhanced ones."

"so your saying, there is a copy cat" Sebastian spoke up causing Jeff to nod in response. "what about the van?" " way ahead of you" Oracle interrupted the conversation bringing up an image on the screen " the location is on screen now sir."

"Thank you Oracle, I have a feeling that a certain cat would be there as well. Sebastian try and find this copycat." "yes sir" Sebastian responded as Jeff moved on to suit up.

The location of the van led Jeff now in the bat costume to an abandoned warehouse. Scanning the building and the surrounding areas batman was able to ascertain that the ȧssailants were in the warehouse.

The bat made his way through the vents landing unto the scaffolding, watching the people beneath who had no idea someone was above them. His batarang was drawn out and was ready to begin when he froze.

Someone else had fired two batarangs drawing the attention of everyone in the warehouse as the batarangs returned to the intruders arms after knocking out two people.

The intruder was dressed in a way that was obviously meant to imitate the batman, they wore some sort of helmet with two pointy edges which completely covered the face leaving but two eye holes.

The intruder's gender was easy to identify if the two mounds on her ċhėst were anything to go by, the intruder wore some sort of biker gear with shin guards and most importantly had a bat symbol on their ċhėst.

The criminals lost their fear when they took a closer look and realised the person before them was not the batman. " f*cking b*tch, who the hell do you think you are?!" he asked anger clear in his voice but the intruder only tilted her head giving no response.

"b*tch! boys get her!" the boss gave an order after receiving no response from the intruder. The men shared looks with one another before rushing at her.

The intruder fired her batarangs once more before performing cartwheels appearing in their midst and taking them one by one with her kicks and batarangs.

The intruder was stunned looking at the batman who now walking towards her, "who are you?" Batman questioned her. She began stuttering unable to speak probably "um...ehm...I'm..." she was interrupted by a group of bald ladies with spears. Batman was quick to react avoiding them but the intruder wasn't getting sent straight into a wall.

Batman looked at the new arrivals, seeing who they were here he was sure about one thing the black panther wasn't far behind.

The ladies got into their battle stance before charging at the batman, bats avoided one of then before hitting her from behind and then using her as a shield against the others.

His action bought him some space, firing a batarang another was sent to the ground as Batman fired his grappling hook pulling a spear to himself and pushing off the remaining ladies.

The ladies rushed him once more as he began with a roundhouse kick and with the resulting force jumped the others using his cape to blind the others wrapping around one's neck he pulled and delivered a headbutt knocking her out in a few minutes all the ladies were down.

Turning to the conner where the other lady should have been he saw that she was gone and now he was regretting not putting a tracker on her.

Turning around there he was in all his wakandan glory, the black panther. He and the batman stood watching one another in a face off.

"I can explain.." Batman started but was cut of by the black panther who charged at him.
