Chapter 349 - My house

Name:Be My Strength Author:LuoYeYouLing
A few days after the Board of Directors' Meeting, Callum received a call from Ghost.

When he went to Ghost's mansion, he was knocked unconscious by someone when he was talking to Ghost. Before he even realized what had happened, he was "kidnapped" and taken away.

By the time he woke up, he was in a completely different city. In fact, he was in some sort of a village. At first, he thought it was his grandfather again. However, when he went down from the helicopter, he saw Ghost sitting on an abandoned retaining wall while he stared at a dilapidated wooden house.

He walked towards Ghost slowly with the intention to jump scare him but his intention was defeated when Ghost suddenly said, "Don't even think about it."

Callum sighed, "How did you know? You weren't even looking!"

Without even looking at Callum, Ghost smirked, "I know how stupid you are…"

Callum mumbled under his breath, "Party p*oper…"

Ghost glanced at him and with an eyebrow raised, "What did you say?"

Like a terrified puppy, Callum shook his head vigorously. When Ghost turned away from him, he sat down next to the man before he asked, "My dear wife, if you want to take me on a trip, you can just tell me. There's no need to kidnap me. It's too tiring for you."

Ghost chuckled, "It's much more fun."

"Oh?" gasped Callum. He looked at Ghost in surprise as he pointed out, "This is the first time you did not hit me for calling you my wife… Seriously, are you alright?"

He tried to reach out to take Ghost's temperature but he pulled his hand back immediately when Ghost glared at him.

Callum stopped talking. The back of his head hurt a little from being knocked out and he massaged it.

When Ghost saw him, he reached out to massage it for Callum.

His action surprised Callum so much that he was starting to get worried for real. He wanted to carry Ghost up and bring him to a hospital but he was afraid that the latter would get angry again.

"I'm sorry. Did it hurt?" asked Ghost. He checked the back of Callum's head earlier when he was unconscious but there was no cut. He was worried that his joke might have caused something serious.

Callum smiled at him brightly as he said, "With my wife rubbing it for me, obviously it won't hurt anymore…"

He then leaned closer and whispered in Ghost's ear, "There's another place that's hurting now and waiting for you to rub."

Ghost sighed as he thought, "Not a moment of seriousness…"

Without any warning, he pushed Callum off the wall. Callum fell down on the ground but he was laughing as he hoisted himself back onto the 5 feet tall wall.

"What are you looking at?" asked Callum as he looked at the old house.

After a while, Ghost answered, "My house…"

"Your house? This old thing?" gasped Callum.

Ghost smiled sadly, "It's the house that my mother and I lived in before grandfather came for me…"

"Oh… I'm sorry," said Callum sincerely. If he knew that it was Ghost's house, he would have praised it to the cloud even if it was completely unlivable. He looked at the house and the overgrown grass and weed and thought, "Did Guang Ying really spent his childhood here?"

Just as he was thinking about it, Ghost said, "Grandfather changed his will. I'd be inheriting a majority of his assets as well as taking over management of Luo Corporation."

"Oh…"

"To avoid my father from doing anything, he transferred all of his movable assets to my name. In addition, 80% of his shares were transferred to my name," said Ghost. He glanced at Callum and smirked, "I'm almost a billionaire in my own right."

Callum chuckled softly before asking, "Would your father do anything?"

Ghost shrugged, "Who knows? That man is capable of everything. Grandfather was worried that something might "accidentally" happen to him, so..."

Even though Ghost did not finish his words, Callum understood. People could kill their entire family just for insurance money. Even some of the rich would not hesitate to kill their own children if it would get them a higher status.

"What are you going to do with the money?" asked Callum.

Ghost looked at the house and said, "I bought this plot of land and the house. I just signed the paper today. I've confronted my father and that woman and they knew that I know everything. There's no point hiding anymore."

Callum nodded. He would not want Ghost to hide anything. Actually, if Ghost asked for it, he would have bought the entire village for him.

He then asked, "What are you going to do with it?"

After thinking for a while, Ghost shrugged, "Rebuild the house, maybe. When I'm bored of city life, this could be my place for a retreat."

Callum gingerly placed his hand on top of Ghost's hand which was resting on top of the wall. When Ghost did not pull it away, Callum grinned and said, "I'll come here with you. Anytime you want. As long as you want to come here, I would come here with you."

"En."

When he turned his hand up and interlinked his fingers with Callum, the latter nearly had a heart attack. He was smiling so wide that Ghost was worried that he might have broken the guy.

"This doesn't mean anything…" said Ghost as he turned away. He was blushing slightly and he did not want to hear anything stupid coming from Callum's mouth.
