Was Discovered, Run Quickly

“Aa…… I can finally take a bath.” Jing Yue sighed. After she looked at the surrounding area and found there wasn’t the slightest trace of human, she neatly took her whole clothes off and stepped forward to soak herself in the stream, allowing the stream’s water to drip across her skin.

Jing Yue cheerfully played and swam in the stream. When she felt a little bit cold, she reluctantly came out from the stream. From inside the wrapped bundle, she took out clean clothes as a change. Taking the dirty clothes that had been washed clean in the stream, she placed it on top of the tree trunk to let it dry, thinking that she’d wait and took it when she returned home.

Soon after, she jumped to the top of the tree. Complying with the moonlight, she lay down on top of the tree trunks, waiting for the arrival of tomorrow. That hissing sound made Jing Yue’s blood ran cold in a flash. Jing Yue wasn’t afraid of this snake; it was just that the sound this wiggling snake produced would absolutely attract the attention of the people below.

“Ka…” that small coiled snake on the tree trunk came towards Jing Yue, and didn’t know which brittle branch it ran into, it made a high crisp sound. Suddenly, Jing Yue sensed a powerful wind came from below, and that small snake’s head was directly cut off! Jing Yue’s head was hanging for a split second, just in time to meet the gaze of a pair of ice-cold eyes.

Jing Yue’s whole body shivered. Almost without any hesitation, her body suddenly jumped and whirled to avoid the dagger that flew towards her. She held her breath for several leaps and finally disappeared into the dense jungle right away.

“It isn’t.” the man also didn’t explain much of anything. Instead, he slightly closed his eyes and leaned against the top of the tree trunk to rest. A slight wrinkle appeared on his eyebrows. It was as if the man was really in pain.
