CHAPTER 22
Wolf as Company, Set Off
“Xiao Chen, you b.a.s.t.a.r.d!” Jing Yue was so annoyed that she was going crazy; this man really thought she was easy to bully!
“Punishment.” Xiao Chen, ignoring Jing Yue whose face was full of wrath and was covering her mouth with her hand, slowly stood up, looked like he was in a very good mood.
At the time Xing Yi and Xing Er two persons came back from picking some wild fruits, they saw precisely this scene. Staring blankly for a moment, they calmly strode forward and placed the fruits on top of a big rock. Jing Yue walked forward in spitting anger, picked up the fruit and began eating without showing any trace of politeness.
Seeing Jing Yue’s action, Xiao Chen didn’t block her but also picked a fruit and started to bite; opening his mouth, he asked: “You come into the forest to do what?”
“That still has to be said? Naturally to take my family’s Yin Jian and Yin Feng away.” Jing Yue rolled her eyes, vigorously chewing the fruit in her mouth.
“Do you want to bring these two wolves out of the mountain?” Xiao Chen was dumbfounded; leaning his head to see Yin Jian and Yin Feng that two wolves lazily licking their claws, his brows wrinkled slightly.
“Yes ah, can’t I?” Jing Yue blinked her eyes staring at Xiao Chen and asked.
“All right.” Xiao Chen turned around silently; the corner of his mouth caught a trace of smile. He suddenly really wanted to know, what kind of major situation they would arouse when they entered the capital. This kind of interesting woman was set to be his Huang Fei, he could a.s.sumed that his days inside the imperial city would never be dull.
Jing Yue and Xiao Chen’s group rested for a little when they returned to the town at the forest’s border, soon after, they went toward the direction of the capital. For the whole journey, Jing Yue was very excited; she’d been staying in the mountain for fourteen years and apart from this border town, she had never gone to any farther place.
The appearance of this ancient time intertwining imperial city, Jing Yue had only seen on the TV so she was really excited to go to see this personally.
Xing Er kneeled in front of Xiao Chen. Bowing humbly, he said: “Master, we’ve investigated Huang Fei’s information.”
“Say.” Xiao Chen stood beside a carriage, lifted his eyes slightly to look at Jing Yue who enthusiastically played with two grey wolves above the meadow, a peculiar rays flickered in his eyes.
“Definitely isn’t second prince’s person.” Xing Er looked following Xiao Chen’s gaze, hung his head down slightly and said: “According to Xing Wei’s investigation, Huang Fei started to appear in the forest’s border town when she was seven years old, selling animal’s fur to get money to live.”
Xiao Chen’s eyes flashed faintly and asked: “Where did she come from?”
“As Huang Fei has said, the forest was her home; without father and mother, she had lived with wolves as her companies. All about her birth father and mother were unknown.” As Xing Er spoke, his eyes faintly bore a surprised look; no matter how he thought, he couldn’t understand why Jing Yue’s history could be this way.
He originally believed Jing Yue was randomly fabricating story without thinking, yet unexpectedly it was actually real. When he investigated her, he asked an old man who used to go into the mountain hunting. That man said that inside the forest in the mountain lived a female mountain G.o.d, packs of wolves and wild beast were her left and right arms.
The one that old man was speaking of was probably Jing Yue when she was a child.
“Xiao Chen, are we going to set off?” Jing Yue, probably tired of playing, sat on the ground slightly gasping for breath. The scene when her eyebrow bended and she smiled seemed like a moving picture, as beautiful as a sparkling pearl twinkling under the suns.h.i.+ne.
“You go first.” Xiao Chen waved his hand toward Xing Er and walked toward Jing Yue.
Jing Yue stood up. Blinking her eyes looking at Xiao Chen who was approaching her, she asked doubtfully: “Ei? What happened?”
Xiao Chen stared at Jing Yue silently for quite a while, indifferently opened his mouth and asked: “You’re called Jing Yue? Who gave you your name?”
Blank for a moment, Jing Yue smiled and said: “I did it myself a!”
Xiao Chen silently stared at Jing Yue for a long time until he finally turned around and left. Two cold indifferent words came through: “Set off.”
