“Now everyone is here, so have you made a decision?” asked Jing Yue. All the girls were sitting in the main hall. They stood up and bowed to her as Jing walked into the brothel.

Liu Mann stepped forward and sat beside Jing Yue. “Since we are homeless, we can still stay here if you promise to treat us well.” She pursed her mouth while staring at Jing Yue.

Jing Yue looked at them, saying, “I don’t need your indentures; keep them to yourselves.”

“Pardon?” asked Liu Mann confusedly, feeling a slight trembling in her heart. She wasn’t sure about Jing Yue’s decision.

“I just want to hire you to work for me; why do I need your indentures?” said Jing Yue, shaking her head. “All I did was buying this brothel, and I’ll leave you girls to operate it. That means I just hire you to run it for me, clear?”

“Miss Liu,” Jing Yue turned to Liu and continued: “Since this is a brothel, I’ll let you arrange the new recruitment of girls. Our girls only take the work voluntarily. Buying or selling by force is forbidden here. They can choose to sell their body or art performance; it totally depends on themselves. All you need to do is to make a good arrangement.”

“I understand,” said Liu Mann who had been moved by those words as she stared at Jing Yue with great intensity of feelings in her gleaming eyes.

“And so are you. Since you’ve decided to stay, then just do it well. I won’t forget your annual bonus,” continued Jing Yue, “The brothel will be closed for a few days to get refitted. I’ll send you the drawing sheet in a few days. You are still in charge of the affairs in this building. Others don’t need to know my existence.”

Liu Mann also stood up. Looking at the girl who was even shorter than herself, she secretly sighed with emotions inside her heart.

Jing Yue then exhorted a few words and left. The two buildings were now properly arranged. But the money she got was almost exhausted. Once again, she became penniless!

June slipped quickly, and now July arrived.

Jing Yue went out every day recently. She seemed even much busier than Xiao Chen.

Apparently, our Ninth Imperial Uncle wasn’t happy about this.

“Has Her Highness come back, Xing Yi?” said Xiao Chen with a gloomy look. He sat in Jing Yue’s room when it had been dark outside, and the dinner time already passed. But Jing Yue wasn’t back yet. Xing Yi swallowed difficultly, “Maybe Her Highness…is on her way.”

“……” The temperature around had dropped lower.

Xing Yi leant his body back silently.

He even wanted to cry!

“Your Highness, where have you been! I will definitely be dead if you don’t come back in time.” Xing Yi thought to himself.

After a while, Yin Qiao ran into the room and knelt before Xiao Chen, “Your Highness, Her Highness is back!” These words really sounded beautiful as they saved Xing Yi from his nervousness and anxiety. On hearing it, Xiao Chen went outside in silent.

“Xiao Chen, Xiao Chen……” called out Jing Yue, who ran inside with a bright smile, unaware of Xiao’s rage.

“Xiao Chen! My restaurant’s decoration is half-finished, and it will reopen in August,” said Jing Yue with an excited look.
