Alex was sceptical about her neighbour and began to regret why she had not just finished decorating the house instead of coming out while the mystery man was talking to her.
Before she could protest, Elliot continued, "I am not a strange person who enjoys spying on people or listening at doors, I assure you."
Alex chuckled, thinking, 'As if a pervert could admit to being one, how does that make me feel better?'
"If that's the case then why don't you come out of hiding, I feel like I am talking to a wall and it's creepy," Alex could not ignore the fact that she was attracted to the man's voice, she was curious as to what he might look like, pervert or not.
"I am not hiding; you are the one who does not care enough to see me. Besides, you'd be incredibly surprised if you saw me ..." Eliott could see Alex's every reaction from where he stood, and it amused him to see every slight change on her face.
"Why?" Alex was even more curious now.
"I am very charming; you could fall in love with me at first sight."
Alex's eyebrows twitched before a mocking smile spread across her lips.
Seeing that, Eliott smiled. He wondered if she knew how expressive her face was.
"You see I am good at comforting people, you are not so sad anymore, are you?" asked Eliott smiling, his voice calm and unagitated.
At the same time, he thought, 'What kind of bullshit am I talking now? Since when I care about people's state of mind?'
Alex stopped smiling and looked in the direction of the voice, always searching for the person behind that gorgeous and attractive voice. Eliott's patio had glazing that allowed him to see out, but prevented others from seeing in. This glazing was so fine that Alex could not see it in the night, and she frowned as her brain struggled to understand why she could not see anyone when the voice was so close to her.
"I think I'd better go back inside." she declared as an attempt to get the man to show himself.
"Wait!!! Even if you do not want to talk to me, at least listen to me, maybe you can give me some advice." Eliott said abruptly, not wanting her to leave for any reason only he knew.
On the other hand, he did not think he should let her sleep in this state, she looked so sad earlier. He wanted to make sure she was okay.
Alex was a little disappointed that her little ruse did not work, so she hesitated for a moment, but stayed anyway.
"My problem is probably not as sad as yours," Eliott began before continuing, "I have to get married within six months."
"So, she does not want that?" Alex was taken aback, she was far from thinking his problem was about his love life, plus she wasn't really the best person to give advice here.
"Well, actually, there should be a 'she' first ..." Eliott chuckled.
"If there is no future wife until now, it is indeed a big problem," Alex nodded.
"Do not be sarcastic..."
"I am not being sarcastic, I could not marry someone I just met, a marriage needs a foundation and I think it needs time to be built." Alex said defending herself.
Eliott listened to her and smiled, he thought she looked at marriage as something sacred and he liked that.
"Um, I feel the same way you do, but I do not have a choice, if I do not find someone, my mother will definitely find someone for me, and I definitely do not want that..."
"In that case, you should make the effort to find her yourself then, I think that would be more romantic..."
"I think so too, but it's not easy to find the woman I want to spend my whole life with... you know, if it was that simple, I would have already found her."
Alex was touched when she heard that sentence, she thought he was a good man to respect marriage like that, not like other scum who only see it as a means to profit. While thinking she couldn't help to think of her father and groaned out, "It does not have to, that's what divorce is for."
Eliott frowned as he listened to her, "There's only one place in my life for one wedding and one wife." Eliott declared fervently.
"I am sure your future wife would be happy to hear that! Then why don't you start looking? You said you were exceptionally good looking, so finding her will not be a problem... Or have you a weird personality? like being a pervert" Alex added with a smirk.
Eliott just chuckled "Well maybe you are right, people indeed told me that I have a weird personality, but not like what you think. The problem is that I can't find anyone to match my beauty," Eliott chuckled at the nonsense he was spouting.
Alex rolled her eyes, it was the first time she had seen such a narcissistic man and being in the modelling industry she had seen many, "You are such a narcissist!... Well, I guess if you are that good looking, you need a woman who can handle it..." She finally deflated.
"Exactly... If I find someone as beautiful as you, I will not hesitate. Somehow I think you can handle it."
Alex was a little shocked by what she heard and blushed a little. When she was about to retort something, Eliott added, "Well, it was great talking to you, it helps me a lot, I know what to do next. I won't take more of your time. Have a good evening, beautiful," he said, ending their conversation.
Alex thought about how what she had said was so helpful and was about to ask, but the man had already left as the night was silence again.
Somewhere in the city after having dinner, Christ then Fidelia drive to a club. It was a high-end club with private rooms, an open space for dancing, and a circular bar. It was beautifully decorated with red all over the wall.
They entered a luxury room where there were already two women and three men. Christ introduced Fidelia and gave her a seat, before sitting beside her. The people in the room were Christ's friends. one of the women stared awkwardly at Fidelia as if she wanted to eat her alive. Fidelia saw the hatred in her eyes and understood that the man next to her pouring her a drink was the reason.
She was enjoying her night until then and did not want to stop because of someone else's unrequited love. At her side, Christ was chatting with his friends. One of them asked her some questions to know more about her. She was a straightforward person, so she answered without any hesitation.
Then one of them asked her about her relationship with Christ. In response, she looked at the girl who was glaring at her, and then Christ. She put her hand on his and answered with a wink. The atmosphere in the room became increasingly eerie. Everyone started making fun of Christ.
"Do not imagine weird things, guys..." Christ whine as his friend's teasing were getting increasingly awkward.
At some point, Fidelia went to the bathroom to freshen up. When she was on her way back to her room, the two girls who were in the room were waiting for her outside. The moment she saw them, she thought, 'Here comes trouble!!!'. Before she got back to the room, one of them stopped her.
"Christ is mine"
"Yeah, sure... how about you tell him that?" Fidelia answered crossing her hands.
"I am telling you to stay away from him, go flirt with someone else!!!"
Fidelia grinned "and what if I want to flirt only with him?"
The two girls stepped closer to her and told her in an intimidating voice, "You'll regret this!" then they returned to the room. Fidelia only smile shaking her head at the ridicule of those women.
When Fidelia entered the room, one of the girls was sitting at her place talking to Christ.
When the girl saw her coming, she glared at her and said with her eyes, "Go sit somewhere else."
Fidelia smiled in response and sat down directly on Christ's lap.
