Chapter 32 - I Don’t Mind Getting Your Money

Sheila was surprised by Alex's cold-bloodedness. She was sure that Alex would be upset by the mention of her mother. She then wanted to take the opportunity to piss her off even more so the world could see how wild and ignorant she was and not get to her daughter's ankle. She planned it all out. A photographer was filming them, just waiting for the moment Alex would make a mishap to broadcast it online immediately. But things didn't seem to go well, so she started to get even angrier.

"Do not push it! Who do you think you are... If it was not for us, you would have never been of this world! Your mother would have definitely become a slut who sleeps with everyone to become a bit more famous! You should be grateful to us. For the little, you have now!"

Aria added with a mocking smile "everything you have now you owe it to my father! then this ring is mine too"

For goodness sake, are these two really that stupid? Alex thought as she laughed out loud with tears in her eyes "First of all, aren't you the one living well thanks to my grandfather's money? Secondly, I think you are describing yourself, not my mother? If I remember correctly, Alan Porter has always doubted his paternity as far as your daughter here is concerned. I wonder who the bitch is here! And lastly, what I have now I got from my grandfather and my hard work, not from Mr. Porter! You should watch what you say, people might misunderstand and think you are actually worth something!"

Sheila and Aria went into a state of rage when they heard these comments, and especially because of the second one, it was a taboo subject for the mother and daughter pair.

Aria, who could not stand it, exclaimed, drawing the attention of the bystanders, "I will not let you talk to me like that! You have always been jealous of me because my father always adored me, and you were abandoned, which is why you always tried to destroy me, right? But too bad, because no matter what you do, my father will always love me!"

Fidelia, who heard all this nonsense was shocked and could not take it anymore, "Jealous? Destroy you? eh oh, I am pointing out that it's you who's orchestrating a whole intrigue to destroy Alex's image on social media! I wonder who is trying to destroy who here! Are you maybe delusional or something?"

"I didn't do anything, it's not my fault Ethan chose me over her, it's not me who posted those pictures online! If you want to sue someone, you need to go after that person, not me!" Arias refuted Fidelia's accusation with such force that anyone who heard her would have suspected her and not the other way.

"Maybe you think we are stupid? Maybe you think you are living in a romance movie? Like who the fuck does not know how these pictures got here? We have all the evidence that this is indeed an account created by you! Be smarter next time! At least change your IP address." Fidelia rolled her eyes. "And Ethan? His eyes won't land on you even if you were the last being on earth!" Fidelia added with a smirk.

Sheila, on the other hand, refused to give up. She could not believe Alex would not lose his temper at the mention of her mother. She knew her mother was everything to her. Ever since she was young, she did not like it when she talked dirty about her mother. She remembered that she had even tried to fight her once just because she was ranting about her mother. And she had already made a plan, she could not let it not work.

"Do not compare me to your mother! It wasn't me who seduced someone else's husband!" Sheila tried one more time to piss Alex off.

"If that's how you comfort yourself, that's your problem, go ahead and deal with it. But deep down, we both know very well that the one your husband always loved was my mother. Besides, my mother was the first to marry Alan Porter, so legally you are the one stealing someone else's husband!" Alex laughed even harder and looked at Sheila's face, which was getting uglier by the second.

Sheila lost all her resources when she heard that sentence. Like a volcano, she went into a great rage, which she expressed by throwing her drink at Alex.

For her part, Alex did not respond, 'Aaah, can people be more creative these days? Since when did it become a trend to throw water on someone?' she thought, merely taking a tissue to slowly wipe her clothes, a small smile on her face.

"I was kind enough to come here to give you a chance to solve this problem, but I see that I am wasting my time. So I will end it here, for I have no more time for your nonsense. If you want me to withdraw the lawsuit, it's very simple. Aria needs to publicly apologise to me and admit that she forged my ring out of jealousy. You have until tonight! Otherwise, we will see each other again in court."

Then she looked at Aria with a wicked smile, "You said that your father loves you the most, right? So I guess it will not be hard for you to ask for help. And I don't mind getting money from you either. That's just a small part of what you own me, don't you think!" concluded Alex in a cold tone.

After making that condition, she put on her glasses, stood up and walked away. Fidelia stood up, looked at her watch and said, "You have three hours, tick-tack," and then walked away.

The people in the restaurant who had recognised Aria were stunned at her mother's lack of tact. Some had even filmed the scene; a few small videos showing the scene were already on the internet. People started complaining about Aria's mother's behaviour towards Alex Michell.

Alex's fans complained and said that Aria and her mother were bullies, at the same time they praised Alex for her calmness towards this rude behaviour.

Aria was also surprised by her mother's impatient gesture, a gesture that had just ruined the whole plan they had set up! 'We are doomed' was the only thought in her head.

"'Mom, why did you react like that? What are we supposed to do now? She will not withdraw the lawsuit! There's no way I am going to apologise in public!!!"

"Don't worry, I'll convince your father to pay up! Our family will not go down on our knees to her!" Sheila slowly regained her composure, realising the mess she had made and how she had just fallen into her own trap.

Alex was in a bad state when she left the restaurant, her expensive clothes completely soaked. But even in that pitiful state, people still praised how pretty and stylish she was as she left the restaurant. It was not long before she climbed into her van and changed, through a set of new, similar clothes.

"Fifi you can start playing!" she instructed.

"Yes! It was about time!" Fidelia was getting all excited, she had been waiting to do something since day one of this sloppy scandal. 

Two minutes later, a series of pictures were posted on Alex's WhatLife account. They were different pictures: the first was a full picture of Alex entering the restaurant.

The second showed her sitting in front of Aria's mother. In this picture, you could clearly see Alex's jewellery set, consisting of earrings, a necklace and the famous ring everyone was talking about! The pictures were well taken and showed perfectly the model of the jewellery set, without effort, you could see that they had the same design and logo; which meant that the ring was part of the jewellery set and not just a mere ring.

The last one was a picture of Aria's mother dropping her drink on Alex.

Instantly, all social media went crazy.
