Chapter 35 - We Ended Her Contract

Curiosity cannot be forced, it must be aroused. This is a simple principle the entertainment industry had use everytime to make the buzz. The scandal that Aria had caused was the same. It aroused the curiosity of many people about Alex. People were curious about who she really was? what was her background?... Her name was the first word searched on the internet, thus that night she became one of the most popular interest in Florelia.

That was the effect Fidelia was aiming for with her posting. Alex was very well known in New Bell and some other countries, but her notoriety in Florelia was still not as good as in other country. This little scandal was the best way to remind people of her name and pique their curiosity. 

The fact that people became curious about her was a good thing. The number of her fans on her official WhatLife account increased every second since she posted those pictures, proving that she was not a copycat. 

There were also more comments on her pictures, people were amazed by her beauty and well-shaped body. While the number of Alex's fans increased considerably, the number of Aria's fans decreased by the second.

Even worse, a few minutes after the press conference, PRICELESS posted a message from their chairman Alan Porter saying, "Hello, this is Alan Porter, the chairman of PRICELESS, I would like to personally apologize to you tonight for what happened in the past few days. What our artist Aria has done is unforgivable. We sincerely apologize to Miss Alex and Mr. Ethan for the inconvenience we have caused them. We also officially announce that we have terminated our contract with Aria Porter. She acted on her own accord and did not even think about the impact her behavior would have on the company. Our company values artists with good behavior, so after discussing with her, we decided to terminate her contract."

People were very surprised by this decision and praised PRICELESS for not being lenient with this kind of artist. Even though Aria was the owner's daughter, they did not make an exception for her, so people were quite happy with the company, which improved the company's image considerably.

Aria was devastated when her brother informed her of her father's decision to kick her out of the company, which was tantamount to kicking her out of the family. She had already lost all of her advertising contracts. Now if she was kicked out of the company as well, what would happen to her in the future? The final blow was when she came home and tried to call her friends, but they were all suddenly unreachable. That was literally the worst day of her entire life.

Sheila felt sick, she could not understand how her husband could just kick her daughter out like that. He really was a selfish man who only cared about his money. Even her son did not help her, he only thought about the benefit for the company like his father. Besides, Alex's fame was growing in Florelia and she could not believe that it was due to her own mistake! That night she thought of only one thing: how to deal with Alex and even thought of killing her in different ways.

At 9pm, as arranged, Eliott, disguised as Ethan, was waiting for Alex outside her house. When she came down, Eliott was mesmerized by her sparkling ocean blue eyes as he was every time he saw her, they were simply beautiful. Ethan notice that she was wearing the same clothes as when she met Aria.

"Hey, beautiful."

"Hey handsome"

"Where would you like me to take us?"

"Um, that restaurant we went to before is just fine."

"Alright! So what do you have in mind? Am I being used as bait?" Asked Eliott, looking at Alex suspiciously.

"Do you mind?" Alex was a little worried, because she had forgotten to ask him if he was okay with her plan.

"Not really, I am quite happy that my girlfriend is using me!" He smiled, looking quite happy.

"Thanks."

When they reached the restaurant it was quiet as ever, the view was mesmerizing as it had been the first time she had come. After Alex got out of the car, she walked up to Eliott, confidently holding his hand and giving him one of her best smiles. Eliott, who had not been paying attention, was stunned by her sudden smile, and he took his hand and intertwined their fingers slowly.

"Where do you want me to look for the picture?" Eliott leaned forward a little and spoke in Alex's ear.

Alex could not help but smile thinking he was really smart and definitely a CEO of an entertainment company "Um, they are on both sides."

"How about a kiss? That would be more effective, don't you think?" Eliott looked at Alex, who began to blush with a teasing smile.

"I don't want it to be overdone..." She tried to suppress her embarrassment, "let's go, I am hungry."

Eliott was deliciously amused by the fact that Alex always got embarrassed when it came to getting a little more intimate. It always put him in a good mood to see her like this.

No sooner had the couple entered the restaurant than there were pictures of them on WhatLife. When fans and even non-fans saw them, they were even happier. That night, Alex's fans got too much good news, Ethan's fans on their part were really happy that he was dating such a beautiful and reserved woman, they were really relieved that the rumors about Aria were false, because for them, Aria did not come close to their actor handsomeness and charisma.

The fact that she was wearing the same outfit eliminated the fans doubts, it was definitely Alex in the pictures, Aria was really a shameless slut trying to take her place so dramatically.

Alex and Fidelia's goal had been achieved overnight, they had killed two birds with one stone: first, give Aria back what she deserved and give Alex a positive image.

At the restaurant, Alex and Eliott were happily eating dinner and talking.

"So did you accomplish what you wanted?" Eliott was a little curious about what Alex was up to. He had figured out that it was certainly to confirm the fact that it was her in thier photos, but still he wanted her confirmation.

"Yeah, you could say that..."

"If I were you, I'd bring down PRICELESS too... Kill two birds with one stone... If I am not mistaken, they own you more? " said Eliott, curious as to why she was not more cruel with Aria...

"How do you know they own me?" Alex was a little surprised by Eliott's comment.

"You are my girlfriend! So I should know these things!"

"Have you been checking out my whole life?" Alex was a little agitated. She did not like the idea of Eliott knowing her family's history, she felt like she was exposing herself to Eliott and that was an uncomfortable feeling.

Eliott was a little taken aback when he saw that Alex had stopped eating and seemed a little upset. "Um, not really, just about what happened with you. I could not help it after our first meeting when you told me about your illness."

"And what else did you find out about me?"

"Not much, just what happened to your parents... It's up to you to tell me about the other thing.

Alex had a conflicted feeling, her family's history was a shame, a scar in her heart she really didn't like to expose. Still, it was a part of her, so the people she cared about had to know about it at one point, but she didn't know why she felt even more uncomfortable when it came to Eliott. 

"Since you already know about my family, there's really not much more to say.... And I will certainly make them pay don't worry about it!"
