Chapter 53 - TV Show

Soon they arrived on the set. The platform was full of people: the production team, the presenters and the other participants. Alex was a little excited, she was curious what kind of game they would play and how funny it would be. 

After arriving, each artist got rooms to prepare before the filming started.

Alex did not pay much attention to the other contestants and went with Fidelia to her lodge to get ready right away. In the lodge next to hers was Eliott, still scolding his sister. He could not believe he was going to spend the whole day there! Luckily Alex was there to lighten his mood.

Thinking about it again, he had only come because she had said that this little nothing Kylie was also on the show, but now he thought he was really just fooled. After all, what could this girl possibly do to Alex if Leila was here? He really was fooled and thinking about it he smiled a little "she's already my weakness now". 

"Sis, honestly, why am I here? You are wasting one of my working days, I have a lot to do you know! 

"I know, but you also chose to be a part-time actor. Besides, it's really for Alex, I want the film to do well!. So we have to do as much promotion as we can. And look at the way the men are drooling in front of her, I don't want you to be mad at me about it afterwards!"

Eliott looked to his window, as indicated by Leila, and saw a group of men standing like vultures outside Alex's room. Eliott looked very annoyed and frowned at this filthy behaviour! He left his own cabin and went straight to Alex's without so much as a glance at the people outside her door. 

The other performers on the show were all jealous of her, especially Kylie, who was even angrier with her. Her first attempt to take her down had failed, now she had another chance to take her down again, and this time she was even more determined and would make sure she don't fail.

Moly didn't miss her anger when she saw her and decided to approach her. 

"Kylie, how are you?"

"Oh, Moly, it's you, I am good? I didn't know you were on this show too.

"Yeah, it was unexpected for me to hear that I am on the show too! But why are you so angry when you look at the slut room?"

Kylie looked up at Molly with a smile. She was pleased, it seemed like she had just gained an ally in her fight. Looking like she was not the only one who wanted Alex to just disappear back to where she came from! "That bitch is mine, my father cut off all my money because of her! I need to get back at her. Would you help me with that?"

Molly's face brightened, she didn't think she'd find someone so fast to help her to get back at Alex! Besides, it was Kylie Allen, she had all the power and money, it was indeed smart to follow her! "Yeah, sure, I'll be happy to help! I can't stand her!" 

An hour later, it was already the start of the show. Everyone took their seats where the staff member had asked them to sit, and then the show started without any delay.

The seats were arranged like in an auditorium, the chairs in the back were higher than the ones in the front. To Leila's surprise, all the RoyalStar members were seated together like instructed, only Alex was seated elsewhere. She was surrounded by all the other men who had been invited to this show, and the one sitting in her assigned seat was Kylie! She had not expected that, as she had arranged the seats along with the director. She immediately looked to Ethan, who was already frowning. 

Leila go straight to the director to inquire about the situation and see what was going on. He told her that it was to avoid speculation that she was really with Ethan. Leila sensed the bullshit coming out of the old man's mouth in front of her. She just grinned at him and asked him to take all her artists to the same place as the other companies immediately.

The producer didn't dare say no. What if she decided to cut all her artists from the show? Her company had enough money to pay the fee, but he couldn't risk the show being cancelled because that would cost him even more. So soon Alex was sitting right in front of Ethan. 

After all the arrangements were made, the audience could enter and the show officially began. 

The hosts asked all the contestants to introduce themselves and ask some questions. They asked all the awkward questions they could and some questions about the contestant's recent scandal. They were especially interested in Ethan, who does not like to participate in shows like this. It was a good opportunity for them to ask him questions and the other person in their collimator was Alex, the new face of the Royal Empire. 

"Ethan, it is truly an honour to have you here today. It's so rare that we wanted to ask you a lot of questions and I am sure your fans here are eager to hear your answers too!" One of the moderators made the first move and asked Ethan.

"Well, I guess there's a beginning to everything. What do you want to know, I'll do my best to answer your questions, but please don't embarrass me!" He had his typical friendly smile on and turned to his fans, who could not help but scream when they heard his voice! 

"Oh, this is perfect! Since I got permission, I will not hold back: so Ethan, since your debut, there have been a lot of dating rumours between you and a lot of female artists, the latest one being with Alex here. After all, they always say there are no sparks without fire, so I wanted to know if there's really nothing going on with all these artists, including Alex." 

Ethan's eyes unconsciously moved to Alex in front of him and he smiled. 

"So, the part of my life that is most fascinating is my love life?" Ethan joked to the host "I'd like to know where those rumours come from too! I am always amazed when I look at these photoshopped pictures or these unfounded date rumours in places I have not even set my feet! I thought it was funny! And sometimes those pictures are just about me having a good time with my dear friends like Alex!"

"So these women are your friends? Even Alex here is just a friend of yours..."

"I didn't say that these women are my friends! Among them, I can count two or three friends." He looked at the host and smiled, "As for Alex, she is indeed a special friend of mine."

"Oh, why is she so special to you? I think everyone here is curious to know!" Hearing this, Alex and Ethan's fans clapped their hands appreciatively. 

"Well, she's representing our company everywhere from now on! So as a senior, I have to take good care of her, don't you think?" 

"It's so generous of you to take care of your junior, but why are you holding hands with her, in this particular picture. Is it really only about taking care of a junior?" The host was not going to let Ethan off that easily, he was determined to find out the truth.

"In our upcoming movie, mhm, I don't know if I have the right to give you that spoiler... I am afraid my manager will kill me afterwards, but... anyway I'll tell: Alex and me will be very intimate... Since we don't really know each other yet and filming is about to start, we decided to practise so that we have chemistry on screen, we work hard for you you see. And here you are just trying to push us into a love affair," he smiled innocently at the end of his sentence, looking at the frown on Leila's face with delight.

The fans were pleased that he was being so open, and the ocean eyes were also pleased that he was protecting Alex and basing their relationship, however sweet it might be. 

"So Alex, is your senior takes good care of you?" The host turned his attention to Alex, realising he wouldn't get what he wanted from Ethan. He thought that maybe he would get more answers from the unexperimented Alex.

"Well, he's been really good to me. He helped me adjust to my new life here and show me a lot of fun, beautiful and interesting places. I appreciate his care and friendship. I am new here and don't have many friends yet, so I am grateful to my senior for giving me some of his precious time.." She smiled at the host before turning her head to meet Ethan's gaze, "Senior, I realise I don't say this often, but I thank you for caring."
