Chapter 56 - Doom At Kylie's Door

After their performance, there was another break for the performers to change into their sports outfits because they had games to play. 

While people were changing, Leila was talking to the director and the presenters about what had happened before Alex performed. She was furious and tried her best not to lash out at the person who had messed with her artist.

She handed them a flash drive that had a video of the perpetrator on it. They were all surprised when she handed them the USB drive because there was not supposed to be a camera installed in the artist's dressing room. So they couldn't explain where she got the video from, but it was good for them, because at least they didn't have to search for the person, and they didn't have to face the trouble of Royalstart. 

In fact, it was Alex's idea. When she heard that Kylie was going to play the same instrument as her, she had a feeling that something was going to go wrong because well bad people don't change overnight. So after changing her clothes, she put her phone in a hiding place and started the video while placing her instrument in the middle of the room. She was waiting for the right time to get back at the crazy girl, but if she wanted to end her life early, Alex would gladly play with her.

At that moment, she shared her plan with Fidelia, telling her that if someone really came and destroyed her instrument, she could still go through with her plan B, which was to dance, but at least she would have something to make Kylie's career in the gutter.

"I haven't had a good feeling about this show since I knew that shrimp was in it too, so I bring everything in duplicate, I have another guqin in our car," Fidelia announced to Alex after telling her that she was going to sacrifice her beloved guqin. Alex couldn't be happier to have Fifi as her manager, "What can I do without you, you are the best". Then they happily set up the trap and walked out. 

Leila made sure to let the producer and hosts know that she wanted the network to show the video on their official WhatLife account in a post explaining what was going on, she wanted the country to know what the great Kylie Allen really was behind her good girl mask. And that was perfectly fine as the director was an old man who had long seen all the dirty tricks in show business and didn't really appreciate his show being taken so lightly. After all, it could mean bad publicity for him. 

After talking to the two of them, Leila went to see her artist, who had been in a bad mood since the show started. In fact, Ethan was really in a bad mood now after learning about the incident with Alex's guqin. He couldn't believe Kylie was still being so rude. She didn't seem to have figured out her place yet, maybe her brain wasn't working. It seemed like the crisis her family was going through made her not know where her place was.

He wanted to make her understand once and for all that she had messed with the wrong people, but he couldn't. It was Alex's problem, so she should take care of it herself. 

Leila was pleased with his performance and praised him in every way she could think of to persuade him, but it all didn't work. She felt that if he was still this angry while playing these games, he would destroy everyone. 

Soon after, it was time to resume the show. They were moved to a small stadium that was divided into four parts, each part for one game. There was a relay race, a song blind test, a piggyback race, and a quiz. The contestants were to be divided into a duo consisting of a girl and a guy.

In the other episodes of this television show, it was always the women who had to choose their partners. So Kylie was eagerly waiting for the moment when she could choose Ethan, she was all excited because she had already tipped off the host and told him that she wanted to go first. But to her surprise and the surprise of all the contestants, things didn't go the way they always do, because this time the guys had the right to choose. The audience was also surprised by this change, but it did not seem that strange to them, as they were looking forward to everyone choice. 

The first one to vote was not Ethan, but another contestant who wanted to choose Alex. But as he walked in her direction he felt someone giving him a cold stare, he felt the pressure around him, his gut was screaming at him to choose someone else and he didn't want to challenge evil and put his choice on Meili. It continued like that until it was Ethan's turn and he chose Alex for sure. Kylie couldn't help but curse her fate for being so bad that day. 

The games went smoothly and Alex and Ethan's team ended up winning three of the games, making them the first team. The winning prize was a small trophy and a box of high-quality meat and chocolate. Alex was clearly delighted with the prize and couldn't help herself, gobbling up all the chocolate on the way back.

The only person who was not happy on the bus that night was Molly. For some reason she felt like something was going to happen to her, her heart was beating fast, she couldn't see Leila's cold eyes, let alone Ethan's. 

It wasn't long before their phones started buzzing. All the managers looked at each other, they knew it was the sound of trouble knocking on the door. As they opened their accounts, RoyalStar was making headlines with two articles.

One was about Alex, who had done well on her first television show despite the minor mishap with her instrument. The other was about the bad behaviour of two stars on the television show, one of whom was from RoyalStar. 

The article didn't say much, but a video showing two people cutting a guqin string and cursing Alex with a sinister smile on their faces was attached to the article. Internet users were shocked, not so much at the dirty act, but at how rude the two women in the video were, as they portrayed the image of a pure and calm young lady in front of their fans. Comments expressing the shock of the fans rained in torrents.

Most of the comments called for RoyalStar to fire Molly as her behaviour didn't fit the agency's reputation and to take legal action against Kylie. 

Molly immediately went pale, her eyes widening as she saw herself in the video, gasping and looking at the people on the bus before immediately looking back down at the ground. 

"I think someone will be leaving us soon". Her manager just looked at her coldly.

For her part, Kylie faced an even more serious problem. Her father was really pissed this time. As soon as she set foot in her house, she was met with all her belongings waiting for her in the living room. Only two words left her father's mouth, "Out!!!".

Seeing his daughter becoming more and more ridiculous and spoiled, Karl decided to make her feel what it was like to have nothing. He was barely able to keep his business from going under because of her, he had even pleaded for the Jensen family to lessen her sentence, and now she was bringing more trouble into their home as if she had no brain to realise what she was doing.

Kylie was stunned, she couldn't believe her father would kick her out over this little issue, she couldn't believe it and confronted her father. 

"Dad, you are kicking me out over a fucking joke? Are you kidding me? I am your only daughter!!!"

"I don't need an ungrateful, petulant and evil child like you! Didn't you learn from what happened to us a few days ago? Do you even have a brain? You make your own money, so get out of my house and live your filthy life in a foreign land!!!"

Karl called her butler and asked him to get all her belongings out of the house before turning around and going to his room. He was not happy, but he had to make her understand that she was not in her right mind.

So that night Kylie became homeless and penniless, spending her money carelessly knowing that her father would always take care of her, she didn't have enough to make an end with her living style. She didn't know what to do. Humiliated, she couldn't call any of her friends and she knew they wouldn't help her because that's what she would do in their place.

She ended up in a bar and soon found herself in a bed with an older man she didn't even know because he had promised to give her money.
