Over the next few days, Alex was still struggling with the question Eliott had asked her. She thought about his question every night, wondering how she could imagine marrying him? When he asked to marry her, she had only one thought in mind, her career. She had worked very hard to get to the level she was at now, and marriage would not be conducive to the growth of her modelling career.
But her need for revenge and her envy were too strong to pass up the opportunity. She knew that if she was with him, she would have the support she needed to trample her father, but now Eliott told her that he would still help her get revenge on her father even if she did not marry, so she would not have to sacrifice the life she had built. But why did her heart pound so hard when she thought about turning down Elliot's marriage proposal? She was really confused and struggling to understand her own feelings.
Eliott, on the other hand, was somehow not himself. He was even colder at work and when he played Ethan, he lacked his usual cheerfulness, even making his fans worry about him. His family was a little worried too, but no one dared to come up to him and ask what was wrong. Leila guessed that it was about Alex, because she had also observed Alex daydreaming for the past few days. She comforted her mother and explained the situation to her so she would not worry anymore.
After a while, Alex could not take it anymore. She had really thought about Eliott's question and found her answer. Now all she wanted was to be in her husband's arms, it had been a long time since she had seen him and felt his warmth.
When Eliott went home one night, he was stunned to arrive at his house and see Alex lying on his bed! He had only dreamed of this moment, but never did he think he would see it so soon. She was asleep and her face was as peaceful as ever. It had been several days since they had seen each other. He wanted to give her the time she needed to think about her situation without him interfering. His heart began to beat uneasily when he saw her lying under his covers. Was that not her answer for him? He did not dare think much. These days, without her were hard enough to bear, he did not want to let his hopes get too high.
After his shower, he stood in front of his bed for a long time before deciding to hop on the bed and take the other vacant place. At first he wanted to sleep in another room, but since it was Alex herself, who came to his bed, he thought it was okay to sleep in his own bed.
When Alex woke up, there was still no one next to her. She had come to Eliott the night before, hoping to give him an answer as soon as possible, because she missed him too much to wait any longer. She wanted to be with him, she was desperate to see him. She waited a long time for him, but he was not coming home.
So, she decided to sleep in his room and surprise him instead of going back home, but she was so sound asleep that she could not even tell if he had come back or not. She sighed at her unsuccessful attempt and unceremoniously went into his bathroom, rinsed her mouth out, and went downstairs a little lifeless. But when she reached the bottom of the stairs, her eyes lit up at the sight of Eliott setting the table with her breakfast.
As soon as her eyes landed on him, she ran to him and hugged him tightly. It was so unexpected that Eliott did not know how to react for a second before he warmly embraced her.
"Hey... Why so much enthusiasm? " Eliott laughed at how tightly she hugged him.
"I missed you!!! You did not even text me," Alex pouted, breaking away from Eliott's embrace to look the man in the eye.
"Well, I missed you too, Wi..." Eliott did not finish his sentence. Calling her 'wife' had already become a habit without him noticing, but he was not going to use it until she gave him her answer.
"Let us eat, shall we?" He pulled Alex to her seat and they ate their breakfast in silence.
"So, um, I took the time to figure out how I imagined being your wife. At first I was really scared and apprehensive. You know with my career, being married is not exactly comfortable. Plus, I thought that as your wife, I would have to stay home to be a good wife. But I took some time to think about it, and I found out that my thoughts were wrong. I mean, even though I do not know you too well, I know you are not someone who would forbid me from doing what I want, and I was starting to miss you so much that I was afraid I was going to lose you..." She confessed that her cheeks had gone all hot and red.
Eliot's heart melted at her little confession and he could not help but smile and show off his beautiful dimples.
"So, what are the conclusions of your reasoning?"
"Well, if you are asking me how I see myself as your wife, I'll tell you that I see myself as the luckiest woman in this country! In fact, I cannot imagine what I could lose with you... I am the one who should be asking you that question, because I am the one who has a lot of drawbacks. " Alex said, looking him straight in the eye.
"Well, that's actually a good question, how can I imagine marrying a beautiful woman that almost every man in the country wants?" Eliott asked with a raised eyebrow, looking at Alex with a cheeky smile.
"I am talking about the fact that I cannot do my duty as your wife, you know..."
"Who says you can't? I am quite sure you can," Eliott smiled and took Alex, who was sitting next to him, into his arms and kissed her deeply. Alex automatically returned the kiss and tenderly reached for Eliott's hair, savouring her husband's lips that she had missed so much.
They kissed slowly and tenderly, showing their love for each other. Alex was really frisky that day and opened Eliott's shirt to feel him even more. Eliott allowed her to enjoy his body while he was held up by her panda pajamas, because he could not help his own unhappiness. He was dying under her warm touches, but he could not bring himself to stop her, so he endured his little girlfriend growing more and more impatient before reluctantly stopping Alex.
"I can see that my wife wants to go about her wifely duties, but we should take it slow, should we not?" Eliott teased Alex as usual, causing her to blush profusely. She could not believe it was her who had done all this, she looked down at Eliott's open shirt and gulped at the sight of his golden muscular chest.
"Um, um, I got carried away..." she said before running to the bathroom.
When she returned, Eliott was in his study talking on the phone. She joined him and quietly walked into the study. Eliott did not mind but called her over and had her sit on his knees while he finished the call.
"It seems that your father could not be honest once in his life. Christ just told me that he used some tricks to take over everything from Kani. The company is just an empty shell now. What do you want me to do?"
"Um, nothing, what's more important to me is getting the brand back and all the infrastructure that comes with it. I am asking him to return the company to me in the same condition he took it from his grandfather... If he does not fulfil this request, I will ask you to help me!"
"All right, I am at your disposal.
In his office, Alan received the news from his lawyers that the operation had been carried out. He was so pleased that his plan had worked so well that he could not help celebrating with a glass of whiskey. At least he had not lost the money. He was sure Alex was bluffing, because it was unlikely she had the balance from back then. He'd made sure to take every piece of evidence and every document from back then, so he took it upon himself to take the money without fear.
After confirming his unusual operation, he asked his lawyer to prepare all the necessary documents to hand over the business to Alex.. He wanted to close the deal with her as soon as possible. The next step would be to show the world that she was indeed his daughter before he took her to the Jensens!
