19 Little Dragon!

A few days later, Jack, Harry, Ron and Hermione went over to Hagrid's place to pay him a visit. When they arrived there, they felt the heat radiating from the house. Fearing something terrible may have happened, the group hurriedly approached the house, ``Hagrid! Hagrid! Are you okay?!'' they all shouted at once and stepped inside and found Hagrid looking at them in surprise and shock, ``Calm Down! All of you.'' Jack who had been as worried as the others suddenly remembered a event in the books and hurriedly looked over at the furnace and found a pot of boiling water with a Dark Egg placed inside. Meanwhile Harry, Ron and Hermione were asking Hagrid why the house was so Hot, ``Oh This! It's just my new Dragon Egg over there, I placed it in a mixture of a Fire Potion and Water and boiling water to make it hatch!'' the excitement on Hagrid's face was matched only by the group's horror. Ron, the person with most knowledge on Dragons spoke up first, ``Hagrid! You have to get rid of it, keeping a Dragon is forbidden by the law. You will sent to Azkaban!''

Hermione agreed with Ron and tried to persuade Hagrid as well, `` Please Hagrid, I know that you want a Dragon but being sent to Azkaban is not worth a overgrown lizard!'' Harry and Jack who were both concerned for their friend wanted to speak as well but Hagridinterrupted them, ``Stop, Stop, Stop. I am thankful for your concern but I didn't keep the Dragon without consulting with the Headmaster and the Ministry first.'' looking at the genius kids in front of him with open mouths, Hagrid was very happy. Ever since he had awakened his Phantom, his intelligence had received the greatest benefits. The awakening had purified his body and washed away the genetic defects from the Giant Bloodline. Jack had just been about to ask about where Hagrid had gotten the egg from, to see of Quirrell had found out about how to get past Fluffy when Hagrid spoke again, ``A man at the bar in Hogsmeade had been trying to get me drunk to find a way to get past Fluffy. At first I had been trying to get him drunk to find out his identity but the bastard could outdrink a Half-Giant wizard and I slipped up but he got more than he bargained for, he also found out how hard I could hit him and he even left behind the Dragon Egg in a hurry.'' Jack wanted to know why Hagrid wasn't worried about the `man' infiltrating Hogwarts to get the Stone but then thought if Dumbledore knew about the egg, he must also know about the `man'.

Hermione thought the same thing and asked Hagrid the all important question, ``Hagrid, are you not worried the man might use the information to slip past Fluffy to get what he wanted?'' Hagrid smiled at the question and cleared everyone's doubts, ``Don't worry about that, beside Fluffy there are plenty of other defences in place and besides Dumbledore knows about my blunder and has made preparations for an infiltration.'' At this point the Dragon Egg started to make noise and Hagrid jumped up in joy and shook the stone house to the core, ``Oh My God! It's gonna hatch! It's gonna hatch!'' even Jack and friends were excited to see a Dragon Egg hatch and excitedly watched Hagrid use his wand to remove the egg from the boiling mixture and place it on a special nest to allow it to cool down and hatch. `Crack!' `Crack!' after several more times, the eggshell finally broke and from the egg emerged a Norwegian Ridgeback Baby Dragon. Looking at the small creature everyone's face was filled with smiles.

Feeling there gazes, the little dragon looked up in curiosity and found their gazes comfortable and thus didn't attack them. but it looked toward Hagrid and growled even letting outa small breath of Dragon fire. ``ooh! Come on, I am the one who raised and I am the one who gets attacked!'' Hagrid put out the fire on his beard with a couple of pats and looked at the dragon with fake anger but Jack, Hermione, Harry and Ron stood in front of him and glared at Hagrid, ``Come on Hagrid, he's obviously hungry and you are just standing there, what else do you expect him to do?!'' Hermione was the one to speak up and Hagrid hurriedly stood up and brought out the mixture of chicken and brandy (cooked) and the little dragon hurriedly came forward and started to eat the delicious mix with delight. The little bugger ate the tub full of food in minutes and climbed up Hagrid's body and slept on his shoulder as if it belonged to him. Of course, Hagrid was super happy with the result meanwhile, Harry looked over to the side and found Malfoy staring at the whole thing and grinning to himself but when he saw Harry looking over at him, the little basta*d ran. Before Harry could shout or warn his friends or do something himself, Jack had already shot off to the door and had already caught up to Draco in a matter of seconds, ``Hey Draco, so good to see you man!''

Catching up to him, Jack caught Draco's hand that was reaching for his wand and twisted it while covering his mouth. The pain was only so-so but for Draco who had never really suffered in his life, it made him drop his wand and want to scream but with Jack covering his mouth, there wasn't much that came out of him. Not wanting to drag things any longer Jack opened his Magical Sharingan and used it to cast the memory wiping spell, ``Obliviate!'' and wiped any memory of him and his friends visiting Hagrid from Draco's mind. He didn't use his wand because although the spell's power was lessened when he used his eyes to cast it, it was under his complete control, meaning no side-effects or unwanted results whatso ever. Draco's eyes suffused a green tint when the spell worked on him after which Jack used his eyes once again to cast a Minor Illusion making Draco believe that at the moment he wanted to return to the Slytherin Common Room and sleep more than anything else, he also made it so that he would tell Theo to come meet him and also to bring Daphne with him, it was urgent . Harry, Ron, Hermione and Hagrid all watched him and were shocked at the efficiency of his actions with Hagrid even saying, ``You kids are scary sometimes, you know that!'' Jack laughed at Hagrid's word and just told the others that they should return before anyone else finds them missing.

While they were returning from Hagrid's hut, Jack's face lost the smile and it was replaced with unprecedented seriousness, ``Harry, go the our room and get you Invisibility Cloak and bring the others as well! meet us at the third floor corridor where Fluffy is! Hermione, go to the Ravenclaw Common room and go get Padma, meet us at the same place! Me and Ron will scout the area and wait for you guys to arrive!'' Harry and Hermione's faces turned serious as well, they couldtell that Jack was not joking about anything right now and this was no time for questions and they all went to do what they were asked. Ron didn't have his goofy smile on his face and followed Jack without question, `Time to see if our training was worth anything!'
