I heard the sound of the engine slowly become louder, I began to regain my consciousness. It didn't take long before my head got hit by another pulsating headache, as my dizziness returned, but both soon began to calm down.
I looked around me with my eyes, I couldn't turn my head for some reason, soon I realised that I am in a vehicle. Thinking that Britney and Brendan might have picked me up from where I have passed out. I decided to call out their names, but I only have the power to call out one. "B-Brit-ney?..." I called out, barely able to speak, I could hear how croaky my voice sounded. I could still smell and taste the remnants of the alcoholic barf that I threw up earlier along with heartburn slowly showing its presence in my throat. I never wanted to get that drunk again.
I waited for a reply, I hoped for more than anything to hear Britney's voice. Besides we, by we I mean Britney, Brendan and I are in her car, heading to her house. Moments passed before I was proven wrong.
"It is just you and me... Princess..."
I heard a strangely familiar voice reply, it was not Britney's nor Brendan's voice, that was what made me feel scared. I did know who this person is, I tried to think of who this person could be but my concentration was overpowered by my tiredness.
"Sleep Princess, sleep..." he said to me, and I obliged to his command.
Under normal day circumstances, I would panic, I would try to find a way out, I would most likely shit my pants, but this time... this time, everything was different. I was too tired to even keep my eyelids open. I felt my eyelids close again as the worries in my head slowly drifted off. I laid my head back before shutting my eyelids, fully. Now I knew for a fact that there was no escape for me, nor did I care. All I wanted was to sleep, and sleep is what I got...
*a few hours later*
It seemed like minutes have passed before I woke up again, but I knew for a fact that hours have passed.
I woke up... No... I abruptly jumped awake as a loud bang of a nearby lightning strike suddenly caused me to regain my full consciousness. Once I was fully awake, fully conscious of my surroundings, I find myself in this... Stoned room, it seemed very old-styled, like those medieval castles that we would see in the history books when you were to learn about castles in school. Yeah, it reminded me of that.
I also realised that the room was dimly lighted by a candle lantern as it gently swung in the light breeze that came from the lighting storm outside.
I looked to my head left and I could see the dark sky light up with every passing moment by lightning outside along with the thunder and lightning, I heard the howls of the wind mixed with the drops of rain hitting off different surfaces outside, as it gradually became louder.
Minutes pass before I stood up, quickly I lean against a wall while I waited for my numb legs to wake up. Once I got full control of my legs, I made my way around my room. I looked for any way out, I instantly noticed a door, but it will be logical for them to be locked, I rolled my eyes at my rational thinking...
Minutes pass and I could not find a way so that I can escape, so I turn myself back to the door, I guess it is my only choice, eh? So I gave it benefit over doubt, but I can feel myself become nervous. With every step I took, heading to the door, I grew more nervous. I reached the door in what seemed like minutes, when in fact it took me only a matter of seconds.
I began to reach my hand out to the door but I suddenly stop halfway, I pray to God that the door is unlocked. I just want to get out of where ever I am, I want to go home, to go to my mother and father. I want to see Britney and Brendan again... To hug them... Tears start to build up in my eyes as my hand come into contact with the handle.
"Please God... Please..." I pray under my breath. I can feel my voice quiver as a tear slides down my left cheek. I tightened my grip on the door handle, before closing my eyes, as I prayed one last time.
"I just want to get out of here..." I mutter under my breath before I straighten up... I take in a deep breath before I pull the door handle towards me...
Nothing.
I felt all my hope drain out of me like there was a hole in my body somewhere, as all my hope gushed out of me.
I pulled again... Then again... Again... And again before giving up.
I closed my eyes as I tried and forced myself to accept that this is my fate... That this is how my life will end, but all I felt was rage and anger build up inside of me through all the tears that rushed down my cheeks.
I clenched my hands into fists before I looking up at the door.
I closed my eyes as embracing the anger I felt in me until it reached its maximum.
Without a thought exchanged, as if it was a natural reflex, I raise my fists and I swung them, fueled by my rage and anger, towards the door. Within milliseconds, my fists come into contact with the wooden door. What I thought was me just hitting the door to let out my anger and rage caused the door to burst wide open, I tried to stay upstanding, but I trip and fall to my knees. In the same time, bright light followed by a very loud bang sounded. It was louder than my hit so no one would have thought something happened. I quick look up to the sound of glass bits hitting and ringing above me on a chandelier. I heard a howl of the wind as it approached me, as it got louder before it crashed into me.
Seconds pass when I stood up on to my legs, but I instantly felt the pain from the fall as it lingered on both my knees and elbows. I began walking to try and wear off the pain.
I walked down the huge hallway and I kept on walking... and walking... and walking down this hallway that never seemed to end. I suddenly came across a door that was open wide, without thinking, my eyes drifted and briefly examined the room by its entrance. It had a bed, it looked just like mine, but smaller.
Instantly a thought raced through my head.
"Is this some type of a fucking prison?"
The lightheadedness came back, but just slightly. As my head kept in annoying me, my legs carried on walking down the hallway. I walked by a left turn before reaching what looked to be the main door. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the door creaked open, I try not to let my hopes get the best of me. I took a few more steps towards the door before I placed the palms of my hands against it as I begin to push. I feel my hope of escape rise as I can hear the creaks of the door as it began opening. I pushed the door with greater force, opening it fully up. Another hallway...
I walk into the hallway, this one being more lit than the one just behind me. I was greeted by the warmth as I walked deeper into the hallway. A sudden surge of air dragged by me back, I heard the creaks of the door behind me. I turned but to only see the door slam shut. I turned back and continued walking down what seemed to be another never-ending hallway. Minutes worth of walking pass before a large arch comes into my sight. I stopped by the arch, observing what is on the other side of the wall. I could see two spiral staircases on each side of the room as they combined into one right above me.
I cautiously walked forward. Two passage like openings come into my sight, one to my left, while the other one was to my right. I looked to my left and my right, I saw a big door at the end of each hallway. After a few minutes of decision talk to myself, I chose to go left. I entered the passage-like hallway after multiple steps.
It took me a minute before I reached the door by the end of the hallway. I placed my hand on the cold, iron door handle before pushing it down. I pulled the handle, but nothing happened, one good thing about me is that I tend to learn from my mistakes, so I pushed the door. I pushed it as it slowly began to open, instantaneously I felt the warmer air greeting my cold body. I was in absolute awe when I say the luxury, luxury of what seemed to be like a hallway of a modern house. I walked in and closed the door behind me. Upon taking a few more steps forward, my nose got greeted by a very pleasant smell, I cannot make out what it is, but it sure does smell very nice. I continued my cautious stroll down the hallway and it didn't take long before I reached the end of the hallway, again, I had a choice between two ways, one each side of the hallway. I look left, I can see a small hallway and at the end what seemed to be a room while on the other side, the hallway was longer and my assumptions led me to think that, that hallway led through the rest of this... place.
I took a left turn and headed straight forward, I went through the hallway and I entered what seems to be a dining room as the smell of cooked food intensified. I stopped at the entrance of the dining room, observing the room. I can see another opening on the other side of the dining room.
After a few seconds, I heard whistling and the sound of sizzling coming from that direction. A smile grew on my face as I knew I was correct but now I also know that I am not alone here, obviously.
I walked cautiously towards the opening, reaching it within multiple steps.
Quietly, I sneaked by the corner from where I heard the whistles and sizzles, the sound of the whistles, I could tell that it is a guy.
I peaked by, just to have my eyes widened at the sight of who is in the kitchen.
Brenden?
