36 The First Saintess

Francis wanted to avoid his grandmother's annoying attention shift his concentration to the two sound. One was his nephew and the other was his youngest daughter.

At around the same time.

"Something's wrong with Cindy!"

"Where is my two big sisters! What happened to brother? The white roses are slowly rotten... brother!"

Francis's explained the circumstances to Anastasia as they walk to where Cinderalla is held. Even without opening the door, the people outside can feel intense light beaming out of the door and into the hallway.

"This is..." Francis blocked the two children from entering together with them. Sean already left through a teleporting circle heading back to the castle to report to his father.

Grandmother: "I'm amazed! My great-granddaughter turned out to be a Saintess. Should I report grandson this."

A Saintess is a person who has a vast amount of magical power but they are limited to using only one element. They are really rare being and unusually solely appear when disaster struck. Also, the most important point is several of saintesses uses light power or healing magic. If their existence is known to the world while they can't protect themselves or have trusted people to protect them, it would be disastrous. The countries would go into war just to have a saintess for themselves or even force the saintess to be their slave.

Francis knows the good and bad of being a saintess. He shacks his head dejectedly and sealed the immense power surging out of her. After he sealed that immense power, Cinderella's pale face turned normal and her injuries healed. She only remains sleeping peacefully as she tries to coup with her power.

"Your worrying about your other two daughters. My grandson is really soft on the inside. But the Tremaine family shouldn't be able to bear a saintess due to our curse. So how is it possible... Don't tell me the oldest is the bearer of the curse." The grandmother understands the development now.

"Are you an idiot. How can a child bear two curses at the same time? Dizzy might've been lucky so far but the worst-case scenario she will die and never to be reincarnated. What are you thinking." The grandmother was fuming as she speaks. She doesn't want to lose a great-granddaughter and one as smart and brilliant as her.

Francis's didn't speak instead with a wave of his hand a scroll in black appears in his hand. He only shoves that into his grandmother instead of speaking. He felt that speaking with her will make him dumber.

The grandmother nodded her head coming to an understanding. She still has doubt about what the scroll state [having two equally strong curse bind together will cancel each other out] [The two curses compatibility must match for them to cancel each other...].

...

"Is sister alright?" Anastasia asks with a worried face. Her brother is already in critical danger, her oldest sister is missing, and now there's something wrong with her sister. Why is this happening while she isn't here? Her mother hasn't returned either from her business trip of inspecting the Marquess's land. Even if she wants to talk to her father, she is way too scared.

Her being scared of Francis is because she was traumatized. On a particular day, when she was still a toddler she went to look for her sister, even though she has been warned by her mother not to. Seeing the severeness of her father and the hardship of her sister went through, the young her couldn't take it and fainted. She has gone through hardship but not to that degree.

Her father has told her not to breathe a word of this incident to anyone even her mother. She knows that others can't know about this incident but why also her mother. However, she got a rough idea of why her papa didn't want her mother to know.

Even though they are married, her mother is still required as the Marquess mistress in society. Every time they are invited to a tea party there would always be criticisms and view of disgust directed towards them and it was no different in the Marquess's house. The only place Anastasia can find comfort is within her sister's arm. But... now her sister isn't with her anymore.

"Rely on me a bit."

"Yeah, Stacey. We don't know what would happen in the future. It's good to relay on your big brother too."

She can still hear her brother and sister's words within her. It's almost like they know that this would happen. There were clearly tears tingling in her big round eyes but she refuses to show her weakness.

"Don't show weaknesses easily. People would definitely take advantage of you. Promise me, Stacey."

She always bears her sister's words in her heart and follows it.

With her head down she calmly said, "I will be returning to my room, father. And my apologize but I don't have the appetite for dinner today."

Even though she said so, she was clearly heading towards her brother's room.

" 'Sometimes I really hope she would act more spoiled.' Is what you are thinking, isn't it? She is just like you when you are younger," the grandmother voice out her thought and what her grandson really is thinking.

Francis only glances at her grandmother with a wryly smile before going off.

"Hush. This family is way too cold. No one knows how to properly express themselves. Come, Elijah, great grandmother would send you home, before your mother worried more." Waving her hand, they both disappear from their location.

When Elijah open his eyes again, he was already in a familiar room. Staring into open space he realizes he was in his living room. His great grandmother really is one of the best mages in the kingdom, she didn't need to use a teleporting scroll or circle. With only a wave of her hand, they already reach his house in a flash.

"Great grandmother, from your conversation with uncle, it seems unlikely that they would be having dinner," Elijah prompt.

"Hmm. Don't worry. There are capable people still in that mansion that knows their duty," the grandmother speaks with confidence.

This gives Elijah a breath of relief as he sighs.

His actions didn't go unnoticed by the grandmother but she kept silent feeling very satisfied. Looks like his great-grandson notice too. If there is no one to bring or nudges that Francis to eat, he would only stay cope up doing his work or something. From the looks of things seems like his children aren't that different. The one managing their daily life is inspecting the fief. Ahh! What is she supposed to do with this awkward family?

...

Anastasia walks into the room and shut the door not waiting for her maid. She drops down on her knee as she lends on the close door. The tears she was holding back start to spill out. Her eyes and cheeks were red and her nose was bulging with mucus. She didn't have her ladylike appearance or energy from before. Now she looks just like a normal girl crying her eyes out.

Sniffing back her sobs and mucus she walks to where her brother is laying silently: "Brother wake up soon. Mother is gone and sister is missing. You're the only one I can rely on now more than anyone... I'm too scared to ask father for help so wake up soon and help me find sister."

...

A young man with a handsome appearance and tranquil eyes was reading a book. He quietly closes the book and listens to what the person in front of him have to say. After listening he made an 'hmm' sound and dismiss the person. He looks out the window talking to himself: "I hope you still remember your promise, Anastasia... Stacey."
