The next morning, Carlisle had just woken up from bed when he saw two pairs of resentful eyes staring straight at him.

Carlisle was frightened. He sat up and realized that it was Henry and Simon.

“What do you want?”

“What do we want? Of course, we want to know about your crimes. Tell me honestly, did you do anything shady when you went out with the school belle last night?” Henry asked through gritted teeth.

Carlisle grinned.

“Yes, you guys don’t know that the school belle is actually like that in private!”

Carlisle acted shocked as if Alice really had some unknown secret.

Henry and Simon’s eyes widened when they heard that.

“You beast! How dare you touch my goddess? You deserve death!” Henry looked aggrieved.

Simon’s face was filled with grief and indignation.

Carlisle couldn’t help but find it funny. Why behave like this for a woman?

“I’m just joking. I came back after admiring a concert with your goddess. I didn’t do anything else,” Carlisle explained.

The two of them heaved a sigh of relief when they heard that.

“At least you know your place.”

At this moment, there was another knock on the dormitory door.

However, Henry and Simon seemed to have a stress response. They were both resistant to opening the door.

They have had enough of opening the door to welcome a beauty, but this beauty was here to look for Carlisle.

The two of them sat in their seats without looking back, as if they hadn’t heard anyone knock on the door.

Carlisle shook his head and had no choice but to open the door himself.

“Coming.”

Carlisle opened the door. It was indeed another beauty.

However, Carlisle did not look happy.

It was Wendy.

“What are you doing here?” Carlisle asked coldly.

Carlisle’s reaction was expected, and Wendy was not too embarrassed.

“Carlisle, do you have time? I have something to tell you.” Wendy’s voice was soft and gentle, just like before.

“We don’t have anything else to say. Leave and stop bothering me!” Carlisle said impatiently.

With that, he prepared to close the door.

“Wait! I’ll just take a few minutes of your time. I want to talk to you. As long as you agree, I promise I won’t bother you again.”

Carlisle did not want to have any more interactions with this woman, but he did not want to be annoyed by a fly too.

“Alright,” Carlisle agreed reluctantly.

Then, he followed Wendy to a garden below the dormitory building.

“Spit it out. I still have something to do.”

Carlisle urged.

“Carlisle, I want to get back together with you,” Wendy said bluntly.

Carlisle didn’t expect Wendy to be so direct, but after a moment of shock, he couldn’t help but sneer.

“Get back together? Did you take the wrong medicine?” Carlisle was almost speechless. “I’m sorry, Carlisle. I’ve let you down in the past. I know I was wrong. Can’t you give me another chance?” Wendy apologized, her voice no longer as arrogant as before.

It couldn’t be helped. Plans couldn’t keep up with changes. She hadn’t wanted to look for Carlisle so soon.

She overheard Jerome’s father trying to matchmake Jerome and Xie Yunshan’s daughter at the birthday banquet! That way, they would be able to establish a relationship with the richest man in the city.

Moreover, Jerome seemed to be looking forward to it.

Wendy had known Jerome would abandon her one day, but she hadn’t expected it to happen so soon.

“What makes you think I’ll still love a second-hand good like you? Don’t talk to me about love. You’re not worthy of saying that.
