Chapter 280 The Car Accident

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
There was a brooch on the palm of Nathan's hand. It had a Gemini symbol engraved on it, circling continuously to the back. He had brought it all the way back from the United States. Sharon's name lived in the stars–a nickname he dubbed her as his 'star, ' and this was the reason why he didn't want to watch the stars with Mandy.

The stars always reminded him too much of Sharon.

She was his first girlfriend–a violinist just like himself. It was also the reason why they met. Nathan closed his eyes, lost in thought.

She was seventeen when they had first met. He was already chasing his undergraduate diploma in America. Nathan was on vacation when he first met her. It was back in the Starry Sea Square, where she was playing the violin for a charity event.

It was Chopin's Nocturnes–his favorite. He remembered asking the driver to stop the car so that he could move closer to the crowd to watch her playing the beautiful music on the stage.

The sun glistened over her shoulders as her hair flew with the breeze. He remembered that day as if it was yesterday. Sharon was wearing a dark red dress, which enveloped her figure so perfectly. Her long fingers pushed over the strings as if she had been doing it for years. She then played another piece of music–Canon, which had a more lively rhythm compared with Chopin's Nocturnes. When hearing this, Nathan found himself more attracted to this girl. He wanted to get to know her, the lively girl who breathed her life into the music.

Later, at her final piece, Sharon finally opened her eyes–showing bright brown pupils that looked so much like melted chocolates. Her face imprinted itself in his mind, and suddenly, the corners of his lips lifted into a smile. It was love at first sight.

He applauded for her that night. It was quite surprising that Nathan, a man who was usually distant and silently appreciative of performers, could clap for a stranger.

Nathan had been a professional violinist back then. However, when he took over JS International, he had stopped. Now, he occasionally played, especially if he rem

rgical uniform with a document in hand, walked out of the operating room.

"I'm Mandy's father,"

"I am Sharon's mother,"

Stanley and Silvia said, almost at the same time.

The doctor looked at the two wearily. He had just finished an operation at six in the morning. What he didn't expect were for two more patients to rush in half-past nine. It wasn't an easy operation, either.

"I don't know how to say this. Both of our patients each need a heart transplant. However..." he hesitated. "We only have one heart that matched their blood type. However, this operation would require a million dollars, and the total amount is two million plus the recovery stage. It will be a very expensive process. If any of you would consent to this, please sign on the agreement clause. We're very sorry," the doctor said, bowing his head.

Silvia's hands trembled at the amount. Two million dollars? Even if she sold her properties, she wouldn't be able to raise such a large amount of money. Where would she get that much in such a short time? But if she didn't... Her daughter might... What would she do?

"Stanley, let's sign it now." Afraid that the agreement would be taken away by Silvia, Madeline grabbed the clipboard from the doctor's hands. Their family wasn't lacking money. As long as she could save their daughter, she would take the chance, no matter how high the cost was.
