Chapter 925 Let's Talk

The operation took a lot out of Audrey. On the second day when she came out of the operating room, she felt so sleepy that she could barely keep her eyes open.

When she returned to the cardiology department, all the doctors were busy working. At that moment, all she wanted to do was go home and sleep. She didn’t want anything else.

Audrey changed her clothes and was about to get off of work. It was her day off today.

Bonnie’s father had been saved that night and was recovering now. He was still sent to the ICU for observation. If he was stable for three days, he would be transferred to the general ward.

Dr. Qian was Audrey’s assistant who was responsible for communicating with the patients’ families. Dr. Qian was a new intern in the hospital and a female doctor. She was only twenty-seven years old and had graduated from a famous domestic medical university.

As a new member of the staff, she was still figuring out her work. Audrey was concerned and wanted to see how she was doing.

On the way to the ICU, she saw a familiar figure.

Mandy came to the cardiology department early this morning. Lillian had made them some delicious egg tarts for breakfast. Mandy remembered that Cassie was pregnant, and would probably be hungry, so she brought some food for her. After that, she was returning to Adrian's ward, but she suddenly saw Eve in the cardiology department.

Eve came to visit Bonnie's father and held some expensive tonics in her hands.

The two women stared each other down.

"Good morning, Mrs. Jin," Eve said with a fake smile and a hint of malice in her voice.

Mandy was a cautious person. She was afraid that someone would come through here, so she deliberately closed the door.

Crossing her arms, Eve raised her chin and questioned Mandy, "Are you interested in saving your son?"

"Don’t worry about my son. I can save him myself. You should be more concerned about how to protect yourself." Mandy stood there with no expression on her face and stared into Eve’s eyes fearlessly.

"You think so?" Eve paused deliberately and said with a faint smile on her face, "But… I don’t think he’s doing too well. He’s been in the hospital for so long. If he can’t be cured in time, he will die. I have to remind you, the bacteria will break out in three months. By that time, not even God can save him."

"If anything happens to my son, you’ll be the first to die, Eve. Your father and uncle will soon follow," Mandy said through gritted teeth, glaring at Eve intensely.

She knew that Eve was the one who hurt Adrian, but she had no evidence against her. That was the part that tortured her.
