Sitting in a gaming chair within a small room a man wearing glasses was playing a game, specifically playing Stellaris.
After finishing a Galactic War the man saved his game before turning off his computer and walking over to his bed.
And once he lied down and fell asleep, he never awoke again.
...
God...my head hurts...
Opening my eyes I immediately found something was wrong...
My vision was all kinds of wrong, I felt as though I could see everything in some kind of...vault?
Wait for a second...why is this place so familiar?
The vault's structure and aesthetic were extremely familiar to me!
Why does this look like a Vault from the Fallout Franchise?!
Suddenly a floating screen appeared before me!

Huh?!
As I proceeded to panic for a few minutes I eventually managed to calm down and attempt to put my thoughts together.
From what I can figure out is that I have somehow died and ended up reincarnating in the world of Fallout.
Not only did I reincarnate in a Post-Apocalyptic Game World but I did not even reincarnate as a human!
Heck, even this floating screen doesn't know what I am anymore!
Sigh...and the year? It's 2099...?
Isn't this a few years before Richard Grey becomes the Master?
This means the events of the Fallout Series haven't even begun...
Steeling my heart I focused on the present, the here and now.
I focused on the vault.
The vault was mostly clean with there being 5 floors in the vault.
At the very bottom floor which was labeled the 'Pest Control,' there was a cave.
In this cave were various kinds of plant life and even my Spore Plants which resembled giant venus flytraps that could spit out a weak corrosive projectile that could burn skin and if someone got close to the stationary plants the plants could lunge and bite the enemy with their thorned maws.
The cave was filled with spores that I could somehow mentally control and sense.
Through the spores, I could not only control the Spore Creatures that lived in the vault and cave I could also infect other creatures and turn them into Spore Creatures.
Once infected by the spores, the spores will rapidly reproduce for 10-20 days until the host 'dies' due to organ failure and is then transformed into a Spore Carrier.
The Spore Carriers in the vault are human bodies colonized by the fungus and regressed to a feral state, as the colony warps it to make it a more effective spore carrier. This infection vector has green, wrinkled skin (reminiscent of a bark) with stiff, leaf-like protrusions on the back, allowing it to blend in with the foliage. The hands and feet possess only four digits and no fingernails. The body is also incredibly flexible and agile.
And wherever my spores spread I can not only create plant life, I can also apparently make water at the cost of Energy.
Before long a few days passed as I experimented with my abilities and I learned much in this time.
I found a few ways to collect 'Energy' and they are pretty simple, I can collect energy from Radiation, Sunlight, Heat, and Motion.
With the Vault's door being open from when the survivors of the vault escaped, lots of radiation and sunlight leaked through allowing me to gather energy from them.
Since it's only been 22 years since the bombs have dropped Radiation is still plentiful and quite lethal to those unprepared.
While Vegas was one of the few places that were able to avoid the Nukes, it does not mean that it would be able to defend the Radiation carried by the wind to the mostly abandoned city.
Besides that, I also figured out how to switch my POV to the two other colonies.
The Colony located in Zion Valley was placed in a small camp with some skeletons wearing tattered Vault suits around a small abandoned camp.
There were some crates, a campfire, and even some 10mm Pistols lying around on the ground.
And in the camp were the Spore Carriers who lurked in the thick grass that laid across the small camp.
Then I finally checked the Big MT Colony.
Sitting within a small crumbled building was Patient Zero, the first Spore Carrier, the Spore Carrier Brutes, sitting outside the crumbled building was a Spore Plant and sitting on the cliffs was a few more Spore Carrier Plants that looked down upon the crumbled building.
And on a cliff, a small distance away two Spore Carrier Plants sat around a fountain with large packs of dried seeds sitting around them.
Seeing the immense value that these seeds have I instantly commanded the Spore Carriers in the area to collect them and bring them back to the ruined crumbled building.
Once there I breathed a sigh of relief.
There are not many clean and non-irradiated seeds left in this world so how could I just let this opportunity slip by me?
