Chapter 312 - Julie Kate Aka Shikhara

Esther woke up the next day, feeling sore all over. When she woke up the sun was glaring at her widely.

She saw Cyrus was still beside her. Turning her head, she gazed at the time on the wall. When she noticed the time, she almost screamed out!

It's freaking 12. P. M.

She needs to get up and go to work.

After she hired her three new dashing designers and had to handle their issues. Sigh… so tiring. She tried to get up but… her husband was stuck to her. She knew he would have been awake a long time ago and was just pretending to be asleep.

She threw his hands and legs 'gently' and got up with her legs. When she tried to stand a pain shot from her lower body, making her land on the bed.

Sigh…

One can understand the intensity of their previous night with her aches. Cursing him, she stood up and walked into the bathroom. As she did her nature call, she let the tub fill with water.

After she was done, she brushed her teeth neatly and walked towards the bathtub. She filled it with essential oils and soaked in it for a while, till she felt better.

After finishing her bath, she tied a bathrobe to her and directly made her way to the closet. She wore a turtleneck shirt, long pants, and a combination suit. Damn! She doesn't have time to apply foundation to every inch of her body. Pairing her black ten-inch pencil heels, and a black sleek purse, she went down to have lunch.

After finishing lunch, she left. She felt it's weird for Cyrus to not wake up till then. But again, she knew it was that he might have been tired from all the things that happened.

But little did she not know that he already woke up and did his work from home for two hours before he joined her on the bed as he slipped into sleep. So, when Esther woke up, he was sound asleep.

Esther went and did the work in the office. And she urged the designers to do the work faster as they only had a week left. She got the Contract from Vritra about their deal.

No one knew about the Kate family. It's as if they never existed in the world. Even the side branches were not excluded; everything disappeared. Only Liliath Kate's story was exposed. It was said that she has an affair with a mafia guy. And she offended him and got her killed for that. And the reports said that her jaw was dislocated. And she knew Cyrus used his powers to make everyone forget about the situation that took place yesterday.

It's already 3. P. M. in another two hours she can go home and sleep. She badly wants to sleep. A yawn escaped her lips. Rex asked if Michelle would come there or not. For which Esther replied to him asking him to do his work.

Anna was diligent, she would do the tasks that she was supposed to do on time. And she was happy that she could get her daughter with her to work. Their pay was discussed and it made it easier for them to work without worries.

But it's just that Anna's mother-in-law was up to something with her life. Esther decided to deal with Anna, Thor, and Rex's problems after the media meeting which is after a week. They agreed with her and started working normally.

When Esther was drawing her designs and sketching them. She was so close to finishing the design. The theme she was making was simplicity and elegance. So… she designed ornaments with no stones or diamonds.

She was giving finishing touches to the design before resigning for the day of sketching. That was when Thomas knocked on her door and said that she had a visitor. Esther asked him to send them after ten minutes. In these ten minutes, she finished her sketch and cleaned everything. Feeling relieved, she dragged her sore body and sat in the chair.

She called Thomas and asked him to send the visitor. As she sat, she could feel her left twitch violently. They say that if the right twitches then it would bring a bad omen but if left eyes twitch it brings a good omen. She wondered if that's true. With all the things that were happening around her, she decided to believe it for once and all.

She waited for the person to enter the cabin. There was a knock on the door, and a small voice asked, "May I come in?"

Esther felt a sense of nostalgia the way this woman asked her. She brushed it away feeling it must be a passing thought.

"Come in," she said.

A woman in her early twenties who looked to be the same as her age entered the room. She looked decent and good.

[SHIKARA!!] Raudra Muki screamed when she saw the woman. Raudra Muki disappeared the moment she screamed. It's as if she was afraid of something or someone catching her. She smiled slightly at her behavior but also there was a lace of confusion on her face.

Weird! Raudramuki said she wouldn't come again. But she came now.

And shikhara? Wait… wasn't she... her assistant in her previous life? No wonder she felt nostalgic.

And… wait… why this woman looks so familiar. She felt like she saw her somewhere.

But amidst her thoughts, Shikara sat in front of her.

"I am Julie Kate. The eldest daughter of Kate's family, which is abolished by you and your husband in a single night," the woman said, shocking Esther further.

"You want revenge?" Esther asked. She knew she didn't want but she wanted to test whether she said the truth or not. After all, she could hear her thoughts.

"Nope… I am thankful. And… I wanted to work with you," Julie said.

Esther said nothing as she already heard her thoughts. A smirk formed on her lips lazily as she watched the Infront of her acting bravely even though she was scared.
