Ellie wanted to move forwards immediately as she felt a rush to comfort him, but he was still huffing as he was going to continue. Ellie put her hand over his mouth as she felt he had said enough to persuade her. He didn't need to continue. "Henry, I understand. You can stop if you feel overwhelmed. It's ok. I won't leave yet."
He looked lost as he continued to look crestfallen. "I can't you deserve everything. I can't stop from showing you all that I am. Seeing it in writing that there was someone who cared for me deeply was a disturbing wake up call to that long slumbering side of yourself. My panic in that moment was caused such that I thought if you had fallen for me, the feelings would fade when you discovered more of my identity." Henry stopped and his breathe was uneven as he struggled to catch it. When his composure returned, he continued on. "I've always been independent as I am so the women I usually let go of are not really people I've invested a lot in. Here was both a woman who was my wife and someone who loved me. Having you leave me would have me not be able to get out of bed for weeks. To give someone such a power was terrifying . . . thus I ejected myself before it could have a chance to consume me."
Finally Ellie couldn't take any more, she wrapped her arms around his hard ċhėst. She wanted to become a sponge that could absorb all of the trauma that had affected him all of this time. "If this is where that act came from, then I have to apologize too. I'm sorry, truly, for all the things I said while angry. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions without hearing your whole story. I feel ashamed." Ellie turned her head away from him while speaking with feeling. "To hurt you while you were trying to heal yourself is quite a mean thing to do. It's almost vile. What am I saying? Yes, I was mean and I'm sorry."
As he started to lean into the hug, his body shaking from the expressed emotion. Ellie massaged his shoulders and what she could reach of his hardened back muscles to get him to relax. She wasn't sure if it was actually helping, but he seemed to appreciate it. Ellie sighed. "It's hard you know, I try to be that chill-with-everything type of girlfriend to you, but having that word wife tagged on to me brought out the crazy housewife in me. I just snapped and my mind was so far gone I forgot all reason and common sense. I guess this is what leads to all of those housewife murders because no one loves someone as much as they do the person who told them they were good enough for marriage." Her nose twitched as she felt tears peaking. "I wouldn't be that mad. But you know Nadia Clooney is that impossible mix of supermodel with her cosmetic billboards and that perfectly done femme fatale in Bond or spy films. I've always wanted to be her and thought she was leagues above me in looks and temperment. So if the time arises again where your questioning why you married me, could you find some really old lady who gives out cheese samples at a supermarket to have some fun with?"
Henry chuckled as he wiped the lone tear that had escaped from the corner of her eyes. He raised her chin so his intense eyes bore into hers. "I'm terrified as this is your choice. But, if you decide that I am worthy for another round of staying together, I promise that my eyes will only stay on you. I'm not interested in trying anyone out for your spot."
His own eyes started to leak and she put her hands on either side of his face before pulling it down to where her lips could brush against his. Initially the kiss was chaste as if she were testing him, but quickly Henry's hands knotted into her hair binding her to him. Henry pushed her against the doorframe as his intensitely slowing increased as he felt a possessive feeling to prove he would continue to only choose her.
Ellie could instantly feel the different as if he was kissing her again for the first kiss. It was delicious as it was all of him instead of restrained where he was trying to just distract her that he was not enjoying to. This was a combination where he would take and give as their wants were in sync for the first time for an intimacy that was better than anything either of them had previously.
As their conflict had been neutralized, their hunger for each other came out in full force. They wanted to celebrate their newfound passion with a want to immediate closeness. Ellie started to reach for Henry's pants as he pushed her back, undoing her top and wringing the tie out of her hair so it spilled into his hands. Ellie felt the back of her legs touch the bed as she was just in her flimsy cotton undėrġȧrmėnts. Henry took an opportunity to divest himself of all upper body clothing as Ellie tugged at his boxer brɨėfs. All around the room was their clothing scattered which did bother Ellie, but before she could voice her concern, Henry had his mouth on hers. He didn't touch her the same way as before. He was eager to show her how competent of a lover he could be. She tried to meet him, but he was lost in the need to please the woman he loved.
Ellie was pushed back on the bed, but she wasn't going to let him focus solely on her. She dragged him on top of her and wrapped her legs around him tightly as he looked at her with a reverence. She never wanted to forget any of this as she needed to pull him as close as she could to him so there would be security there which was something he could reassure himself with for as long as he wanted to be with her, even if that mean when she passed on.
