Chapter 9 - Loot!!!

I picked up the fallen item from ground. I quickly start inspecting my loot. The information appeared in front of me.

Shadow Step; Walk in darkness for 30 seconds. The footsteps are untraceable. Cool down is 7 minutes. Consume 5 MN for every use.

Slink; Merge with shadows for 3 minutes. No movement can be done except if you break your concealment . If shadow moves, you follow it. Cool down is 15 minutes. Consume 7 MN for every use.

Armour information: The armour was made by the one of the Elf generals. After his death, it was passed down generation to generation.

I quickly equipped the item. I quickly equipped the item.The armour has red colour as blood. It also has a black ŀuster.It is made up of some unknown material that is quite hard but it is as light as a feather. It magically adjusted to my size. It look quite threatening .

The armour covered my whole back and front side and it have quarter sleeve. It don't have things like chainmail. I don't need to fasten the armour. It is like a T-shirt. I added the attribute points to my stats.

Seeing my stat, I feel ecstatic---Op is the word that perfectly describes what I am feeling right now. My strength has gone up some notches up. I feel body become lighter and armour gives me a sense of security.

Suddenly a booming voice is heard near my ear....'' HEY, Kid it is a bad thing to kill steal. DON'T YOU KNOW???''

I nearly jumped out of the fright. I look towards the culprit who scared me and see his towering figure standing at my back. I quickly scrambled away from him. He starts laughing at my actions and said; " If I want to kill you kid. You will be already dead."

I do not have an ounce of doubt in what he said as I have seen his fighting skills and I am pretty sure that he can decimate me with one strike quite easily. So I just nodded and said:

"I know you can kill me easily. So what?? Killing me will not give you any benefit."

He started laughing at my answer and said:

" You are one gutsy kid. I like it."

He looks towards me and said in a heavy voice.

I feel thick blood ŀust directed towards me. I feel like I am in a cold abyss. Cold sweat covered my back. Thankfully, he controlled his blood ŀust and stop directing it towards me. The demon and he starts talking while I start practicing with my bow. I fired four arrows and all of them miss the marks. Seeing my poor accuracy, he said:

" Adger, he is one heck of a lucky bastard."

Demon (Adger) replied: " You are right Zack"

Hearing this, i feel embarrassed. I just want to find a hole to hide myself. But I still continued practicing session in to improve my wain. After firing all my arrows, I managed to get the hang of it. Though my aim did not improve but speed of releasing arrows did.I start feeling tired. So I ended my practice session to rest and collect arrows. Next thing that happened left me flabbergasted. The arrows returned to quiver magically like they were always there from the start.

Suddenly I found Adger and Zack moving towards forest. I decided to follow them. The forest have large thick ancient trees. We quickly weaved through the trees. I found myself in front of portal. They moved towards the portal and I followed them. After passing the portal, I found myself in a room. The room is made up of unknown brownish materials. Zack and Adger is talking to minotaurus. I look around and found many intriguing things hanging on walls. The room looks like a museum to me as the medieval things such as bows, chain mail armour, spears, swords etc are hung on the wall. I touched the bow and the blue screen popped in front of me and its information appeared.

Weapon information: The bow used by Zodiac General of Zodiac Clan before his promotion to Grand General. This bow accompany him in many wars and strife fear in many generals. The bow forms arrows automatically and can be upgraded to unlock it's hidden traits. The bow is one of its types and require great strength to use it in comparison to other bows as Zodiacs have great inborn strength. The bow is made up of rare materials of different dimensions and is made by famous rune master. It has range of 55 meters.

The cost of the item left me slack jawed.The attributes of bow are very attractive but due to it's high price, I can only look at it and admire it. It is like it is in my hand reach but totally out of my league. I can't even move the bow from the wall because it is binded to wall from magic or it is too heavy for me to handle it as all my efforts to move it ended in naught.
