Jess mumbled as she scratched her nose, taking a deep breath, and with her eyes still tight shut, she flipped the cover off her body and suddenly felt the breeze on her bare skin which made her eyes fly open.

She looked down on her body and found herself naked like a newborn babe. She blinked her eyes multiple times, trying to chase away the cobwebs of sleep from her brain when she heard Noah's throaty voice.

"Looking gorgeous as ever," he said grinning proudly. His eyes scanned his masterpiece on her skin.

She picked up the pillow next to her and threw it to Noah.

He caught the pillow before it landed on the floor. "I had Aadir prepare breakfast for us on the balcony."

He smirked and wiggled his eyebrows, "Do you need help to wash up?"

"You and your insatiable libido," she mumbled as she swung her legs off the bed.

Noah just laughed. "Look, a kettle calling another kettle black."

She clicked her tongue and grabbed the silk robe, folded neatly on the bedside table. She put it on and didn't bother to wear her bedroom slippers. She walked barefoot towards Noah who was buttoning his crisp white shirt.

"Why are you looking so good, so early in the morning?" She asked in a sing-song voice and stopped him from buttoning his shirt. She put up his collar and continued buttoning Noah's shirt.

"Tie."

Noah handed her the gray necktie he was holding and let her fix his tie for him. He watched her bite her lower lip in concentration.

Once she was done, she stepped back to admire her work. "Dashing as ever," she grinned. "Work?"

"Markus will be flying to Dubai at the end of the week and since I'm already here, I'll show my dashing presence at the laboratory."

She giggled and shook her head, walking in the direction of the bathroom. "I won't take long. Have my coffee ready, and you won't be just dashing."

"Yes, ma'am!" he said, giving him a snappy salute, which elicited another peal of laughter from Jess that warmed his heart. The room feels brighter a moment ago with her laughter, ringing across the room.

Noah shook his head with his cheesiness. He checked his phone as he was waiting for an update from Jin and saw no new message.

"I'll be at the balcony," he hollered to Jess who left the bathroom door open. If he didn't tire her out last night and if there weren't people waiting for him, he would take the open door as an invitation from her, but he already did a lot last night. Jess still needed to take a rest. They haven't received the result of her blood test.

He stepped out of the balcony with a wide grin on his face. Aadir was standing like a statue in the corner of the balcony who bowed down as soon as he saw him.

"Is the coffee ready?"

"Yes, sir."

"You can leave it. And you may go," he sat down on the chair and picked up the neatly folded newspaper next to his coffee mug. He grinned, remembering Jess calling him an old man for he still enjoys opening a newspaper in the morning with his coffee. A habit he got from the old Tiefenbacher.

His grandfather always joined him for breakfast as far as he could remember. He doesn't eat breakfast. He would just sit with him at the breakfast table as he eats his breakfast every morning, reading a newspaper, sipping black coffee.

One of the few warm memories of his childhood. He smiled inwardly as he picked up his black coffee to take a sip.

Just like Jess said, she didn't take long in the bathroom. Her hair was tied loosely on top of her head and she was wearing a shapeless cream dress that resembled a nightdress when she emerged onto the balcony. However, because of the fabric's softness, every time she moved, he was able to see the womanly curves of hers that he was so accustomed to.

He wondered if Jess would like to let him have her for breakfast. His member twitched in agreement inside his pants.

Jess, oblivious to the lewd thoughts running through his head, sat down next to him. He put down his newspaper and poured her mug the coffee Aadir prepared for her.

"Thanks," she mumbled as she scanned the food on the table.

Noah has the typical continental breakfast on his plate. While she has a stoneware bowl with a cover in front of her. A platter of fruits is on the table and that's it.

She returned her gaze to the bowl in front of her. She removed the bowl cover and saw that it was porridge. She couldn't remember the last time she had porridge for breakfast. She grimaced.

"You don't like it?" Noah noticed her grimacing on her food.

"It's fine," she said but her tone doesn't sound like it was fine.

He folded the newspaper he was reading and reached out for the bronze bell that was sitting on the table. He was about to ring Aadir when Jess stopped him.

"It's fine, Noah. I was thinking of having Luke's stir fry veggies with chicken but I know that this porridge is good for me. I haven't eaten solid food for the past two days. I need to go easy on my stomach first," she smiled at Noah who was still unconvinced.

"You can eat what you want. A little is okay." His hand was still on top of the small bell, ready to ring it if she would say she wanted something else to eat.

"I can have my food cravings later for lunch or dinner. This is okay. Let's eat."

"Are you sure?" he still asked.

"Yes, Noah. I'm sure."

He reached out to touch her cheek, he removed a few tendrils of her hair that had escaped and gently tucked them behind her ear. "Let me know if there's anything you want to eat."

She leaned her cheek to his big hand like a cat asking for more pets, "Yes," she softly replied.
