Chapter 573: Adjudicator

Name:Celestial Peak Author:Simple_Dynasty
When Bai Xue opened her eyes, she was in the darkness. She tried ripping apart this darkness and manifested in a forest filled with creatures that did not know who she was, but who could blame them for not knowing that the Mother of Beasts was born? Bai Xue at the time didn't even know she was such a creature.

Bai Xue only knew that she had just escaped the darkness and she didn't want to return to its hold any time soon. She struggled to live, rose to power after learning her gift, and then took a bite of something she shouldn't have lusted over.

She was beaten and battered, and then, she fell and then as she descended a world welcomed her, a world that became her solace — Celestial Spirit Realm.

As she fell to the world, she was accompanied by a Dragon and Phoenix, both about to enter the ranks of Deities. They fought, ravaged the lands and Bai Xue swooped in to steal the kill, and then, she was forced into her egg, once again.

She was trapped, until of course the arrival of a man bearing the lineage of something she ha not seen before. His sword was sharp, and the two fought until they met mutual destruction, she awakened, and instead of choosing to kill him, she spared him, at the thought that he could be someone to finally accompany so that she would no longer be alone.

They agreed to create a pact, one that would bind them to help each other. At first, it was out of obligation, and then, as they fought more and more, risked their lives together, a bond formed between them that would go beyond companionship.

They were tricked by the Emperor of Death and were made to spend a night of intimacy together. But being a trick was merely an excuse for them, something the two failed to experience in their lives.

Bai Xue who had been alone, kept in the dark, found her solace by his side, and she was more than glad to be with him. She would not admit it outright, putting a strong front, but she adored him and when he died… she completely lost all reason and hunted the cause like a hound without stopping. For nine years the first full-scale invasion of the Abyss was delayed because of Bai Xue's rampage.

"Soon after you died, I burst out of the Realm and pursued him. I followed the remnant qi he got from you, and every time he's about to return to his original form, he would die, by my hands. Tens of thousands of Abyssal Demons tried to stop me, but they could not stop my advance. I wanted him to die, alas, I was still too weak to eradicate him."

She went after him and destroyed his existence, over and over again before he could regenerate. Only because she lacked the power did the Emperor of Death manage to slip away from her maw.

"But that's not all, due to my recklessness and the signs of my pregnancy showing after so long, I slowed down and the invasion began and the living was drove to almost Extinction until I finally managed to regain my strength as the All-Mother, and then… as I carried Qinyang, I also finally took a rest. Meditating, and putting my mind at ease and it was then that I started having visions of a life I did not live. it was memories of a Demon, having hands dyed red with blood for so long that it seemed to be impossible to wash off. He would cry, and wail, but, in the end, he would kill.

"He was unstoppable, a slaughterer, but his existence was that of a necessity. The realm was closed off to another world, thinking other realities where they draw qis were nothing but unreachable dimensions. Thus, the slaughterer bearing the crimson sword would appear to slay every single time the Celestials numbers too many. Stopping any fighting that would destroy the world. Taking it upon himself to be the Adjudicator for the world. To keep the peace, so that the thing that would happen to him wouldn't happen to others… he was seen as a Slaughterer, but many revered him as a Hero, yet the truth was this man was nothing more than a bloody hypocrite."

Bai Xue's words paused as she stepped off Wang Ling's head and into the skies. He created spatial platform for her to step onto and then, she and he looked each other in the eyes. She could see nothing from Wang Ling's eyes, he had already come to accept her words as true… thus, she continued.

"He would scream that he wants peace, but he would deliberately seek trouble so he could fight. He would draw his sword, grumbling as if he did not wish for it to happen. He would draw blood, listen to the death throes of those who died hoping to burry the screams of what already plagued him. He killed, and killed, and killed until there was nothing left for him to slay… and eventually, he got so good at killing, before he even discovered the existence of Quintessence, he already unleased far beyond what anyone outside his World could show.

"His killing intent became unmatched by any man bearing Mortal Blood, in and out of his word, and his Blood Seeker, boar witness to it all and was the only thing capable of sealing the intent that brewed for all his life. The Sword increases his strength, tenfold, and more… like the creature of Chaos… he grows stronger with every fight." Bai Xue finally stopped her words as she slowly transformed to her humanoid form, to the unparalleled beauty she truly was. Her long red robes trailed as she descended.

Her slender hands, held onto Wang Ling's, and tapped his storage ring, where the black and white sword was kept. Heaven's Will and Reaper's Edge floated between them, "These swords hold a part of you Ling… and for us to get a chance in fighting the asshole, then, you must unleash everything."

Wang Ling sighed as he caught the swords in the air, "You know, I find it extremely concerning you know so much about me."

"You should, but be more frightened what I will be saying to Qinyang now that you're alive. I was being lenient when I told her about you when you were dead. Now, I can tell her everything, mister I had to dress up as a girl to infiltrate a brothel...." Bai Xue's laughter echoed as Wang Ling groaned, "So, are you willing to unleash the Weeping Blood after so long?"

Wang Ling played with his sword as he let out a laugh, "Do you even have to ask?"

As he grasped the sword's handle, it fitted him and then, his aura began to rise. His spirit riled, and then, his existence shrouded in a thick red swirl of killing intent. An unpalpable sense of dread befell even in the heart of Bai Xue.

"I was already about to use the Weeping Blood for the last time when Qinyang was hurt. Blood Seeker knew I was about to sacrifice him as his vessel was too weak to answer my call, but I was prepared to abandon my other half for the sake of my daughter. Now, I am given a chance to use Weeping Blood freely, what do you think is my answer?"

Bai Xue could feel her skin crawl with the writhing. Her heart entered trepidation and then, her ear-reaching smirk appeared, she grew excited, "That's what I like about you, Ling! You never change—"

Her laughter was drowned only by the warping space and before the space was to close, she laughed, "Now, for the final ingredient that will hold your sword together—"

Bai Xue began undressing as the space warped and closed.
