"But the previous Incarnations only wished for peace… they wanted nothing more than for the fighting to stop. Didn't All-Father inherited their will?" Phena asked.

"I did, I just don't care. Just because they were supreme beings does not mean they are right all the time. And especially because they are Gods that they are wrong." Wang Ling looked over at the battlefield where the two protected Naor, "Look at that, those two, do you who they are?"

"…No, and I've been meaning to ask who are they as well. They are so strong, but I cannot even grasp what they are… I cannot feel their presence."

"I see, I thought the Ancestors could feel them, but I think they have yet to grasp their existence as much as I thought. Those two, they are the personification of the Ruler of Chaos' breath, the personification of Carnage and Harmony, the Hellish and Holy Qi."

Wang Ling waited for a reaction, but Phena could not find the words. He spoke as if he just uttered something simple, yet, the revelation to Phena could not be understated.

"…does that mean qi is alive?"

It was the only thing she could squeeze out from her unravelling thoughts.

Wang Ling raised his brows and shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know. But the only thing that's pure in this Universe is their existence so I do not think so. The Supreme Qi exist as me, and the other qis have entangled together that nothing more is individualistic.

"Qi is not as strong as it used to be. However, it's not all that bad. The current qi of today makes gathering elements, and becoming attune to nature easier. With the bundled qi also allows quicker ascension—dear me, I rambled on and on, and that wasn't even the point of this talk."

"It is quite all right, I learned more than I thought I would."

Wang Ling now, looked back at Phena, he was smiling still. But even that, slowly disappeared, his eyes closed and then when it opened, it glowed azure, like the deepest trenches of the deepest oceans, "Now it is my turn to ask a question." He said.

Phena, felt the air change in an instant, "What is it, All-Father?" she kept her attitude.

Wang Ling, however, chuckled as he looked at her, "It is just quite simple, really. It involves not philosophy or desire, I just want to know how you learned something —"

At that moment, when he muttered these carefree statements, everything for Phena started to twist and churn. If before, Wang Ling's killing intent was already terrifying, now, it was overbearing… darkness enveloped Phena as she was asked, "How did you Deities came to know that the Gray Figure was trapped in the Origin Bloodline?"

The jarring change in his demeanor was beyond incomprehensible. The once calm and collected Wang Ling now stood in front of her without so much as a hint of stability, he wanted to know something and instinctively, Phena understood she cannot say something he did not want to hear. She had to say it, the truth.

And speak the truth, she did without even noticing it, "From the Origin General." And as those words left her mouth, Phena immediately knew she had made a big mistake. Her eyes widened and then, she crossed her arms to block something.

Boom!

Phena's arms were destroyed, the bones crushed, to dust without any resistance as Wang Ling blew him away on his attempt of grabbing her by the neck. For hundreds of kilometers, she was flying with untold speeds.

But then, her body stopped. Spaced warp around her and then she saw Wang Ling clumsily bending space. His eyes that was as sharp as sword now reflected his desire to eradicate the one before her, "So you were in contact with him after all?"

Wang Ling's voice was laced with the ice of disgust, but he did not hate her one bit, "I wonder, did he promise you something? About someone, perhaps?" he asked as he smirked, but he did not mean to mock her or the other Deities.

The more he comes to be the All-Father the more he comes to appreciate life itself. He was already one to respect others' decisions in life, but this time it was amplified, that didn't stop him from doing what must be done, however.

[A Deity that is corrupted by that bastard is going to be extremely dangerous. If they wield the weapons against us, then…] the thought terrified Wang Ling. The image of Bai Xue, his daughter, and his family lying on the road dead had him act without questions.

He attacked and intended to finish the job as fast as he could and erase any signs of death from their rank. Phena drew closer and as her eyes grew in desperation. The Vermillion Bird, Phena had always disliked fighting.

She was a peace-loving creature, despite the fact that her touch scorches the lands. The Goddess of Beasts noticed her desire to interact with others, but she couldn't because none could stand her uncontrollable flames.

The Goddess of Beasts, for all her powers could not do anything to help her child so as to comfort Phena, the Goddess decided to describe everything to her through words alone. These would be the very first verbal communication to happen and through this exchange, the prowess of the Vermillion Bird would appear.

When the first words were spoken by the Goddess, it was something the universe. Her words commanded everything and Phena, the one who experienced it first hand saw it opened her mouth to copy what her mother was doing and its effects were something the two of them did not expect.

It had been long since it appeared again, but, without any more hesitations, Phena opened her mouth to speak, "Enough – Bloom."

And so, her words commanded the red lights of the Cosmic Road to bloom into lotus flowers spanning for twenty meters to envelop Wang Ling and then, "Exploded.".

That day, when the words were discovered, the Goddess and Phena discovered the truth that, the Vermillion Bird that pursues knowledge, truly, embodied the quotes – words are deadly
