Seeing Yiren's fist approaching his face, he tilted his head to the side to avoid it before he raised his hands in defeat as he chuckled. "Finish your bath, I'll wait for you outside."
He turned and walked towards the door.
Remembering that Summer might come back anytime soon, she quickly picked the towel and wrapped it wround her body. "Wait! Stay!"
He smirked upon hearing her, he knew that she won't allow him to go out since she didn't want him to get caught up by her companion.
"Don't turn! I'm just going to wear my clothes!"
He chuckled. "Fine, fine. I'll behave."
She took her hanging clothes but upon touching it, it was still wet. She used her fire magic to dry it faster. "How were you able to know where I was? How did you know that I was alive?"
"I'm just this amazing." He didn't want her to know about his mark on her body yet. "This is not my real body tho. I am just using my magic to form a body in front of you."
She turned and looked at his back. "Eh? How is that possible? Making a body that feel so real... that's a really hard spell."
"I'm a catastrophe level monster, nothing is too hard for me." He smiled. "Have you seen the black mist on your shoulder?"
She looked at her shoulder and was surprised to see the black mist gone, although the mark was still there. "Oh... so used the black mist to form a body?"
"Yes. Although my powers are limited right now because of the long distance so I'm just like a normal human with no magical abilities."
"So... you were able to know that I'm alive because of the dark mist? I see... this dark mist is like a connection for the two of us." She touched her clothes to check if it's dried and when she felt that it was, she started wearing it.
"Yes. Since you were the first person I took a bite on, you can say that this is like a mark for my food. It won't disappear until I completely eat you." He lied
She frowned. "That's too troublesome." A food mark? No wonder the dark mist couldn't be erased by any light magic user.
She walked passed him and opened the door, she peeked to see if Summer was back, she sighed in relief when she saw the room was empty.
"I can always change my form, you know." He smiled.
She turned to him. "That would really be a convenient. Can you change into an animal?"
He grinned, he changed into a small black cat with two small horns in it's head. His features appear sly, with narrowed eyes and red colored cat-like pupils.
Seeing how adorable the black cat was, she quickly picked it up. "You're so cute!"
He rubbed his cheek on her breasts, he knew how much she loves cats that's why it was the best choice for him to transform into one.
She blushed upon seeing it's head rubbing on her breast, she could feel his tiny horns and she didn't liked him rubbing his face on her chest so she quickly pulled him away. "You perverted cat!"
"Tell your boobs to stop staring at my eyes." He crossed his cat arms as he was staring at her chest.
She frowned. She went out of the bathroom and threw him to the bed but because of his reflexes, he landed on his four paws. "How mean~ I thought you love cats? Don't just throw me away like a garbage!"
She rolled her eyes. "Oh please. You're not a cat."
"I am one, right now."
She sighed. "I give up." He was just too troublesome for her.
He sat down on the bed and stared up at her. "You should come back, Yiren."
"If I did, then wouldn't the servants recognize me?"
"You can disguise yourself."
"But..."
"I just have one more year before I can finally graduate from the academy. I want you to wait for me... I want to accompany you in this small adventure you want, we can go around the world together."
His offer was so tempting. Should she really return? She already went this far. She was planning to leave the group and continue on with her travel.
"I'm back~!" The door opened and revealed the orange haired girl.
"O-Oh... welcome back, Summer!"
Summer turned her head and saw the strange black cat on the bed. She was surprised to see a cat with two small horns on its head, especially the red eyes. "I never knew that you have a Spirit Animal with you?"
She blinks a few times with what she said. Spirit Animals areFamiliars for every magician although obtaining one could be really hard. Only Magicians above A rank could obtain them.
She grinned and touched her necklace. "Crowley, come out."
A white light appeared from Summer's necklace and it turned into a white crow. It started flying around the room.
"This is my Spirit Animal, Crowley." Summer grinned before she placed the basket filled with food on the table.
When Crowley saw Luke's cat form, it flew toward him and landed beside him.
Luke ignored the way the white crow looked at him, he looked at Yiren and jumped towards her, landing on her shoulder before it disappeared, turning into the small black mist on her shoulder.
"Oh! Don't tell me that the small black mist on your shoulder was actually your Spirit Animal?"
"Y... Yeah." She didn't really know what to say or how to explain things to Summer since she didn't know much about Spirit Animals.
The white crow glared at Yiren before it turned into a beautiful woman with white hair and pale skin. "Bring out your handsome Spirit Animal, now!"
Yiren was so surprised to see the crow turned into a human form.
"Stop it Crowley." Summer sighed as she summoned back her Familiar. She turned to Yiren. "Ignore her, she loves beautiful men. I didn't thought your Spirit Animal was a male."
"It's okay." Yiren suddenly became so interested in Spirit Animals, she needs to level up into an A rank magician so that she can have one.
"Anyway, let's eat."
----
"You want to leave?!" Blazed exclaimed in surprise.
They were currently having their breakfast in some cheap food shop.
"Yes. I realized that being a part of a Hero party is not for me. I am the weakest among you three and I really don't like to fight." She explained.
"But you are not weak at all. Even if you are not that good with combats, that's okay since you are a healer, we will protect you." Summer said as she held Yiren's hand.
"Having you in our team will be an advantage for us against the other parties in that competition." Voldik didn't want to let go of this opportunity, they need her in the battlefield. If she can heal their injuries while fighting then they have a higher chance of winning against strong enemies.
"I really want to travel the world and if I stay in this party, I won't be able to achieve my goal, to travel the world in a year."
"..."
They all went silent upon hearing her 'goal'.
Summer was the first to react. She sighed, "I guess we cannot stop you."
"But-
"Voldik, let's respect her decision. Besides, it was supposed to be you, me and my brother in the first place." Despite wanting Yiren to come along with them, Summer understood that everyone has different goals in their lives.
Yiren was so thankful because of how understanding Summer was. She was lucky to meet kind people like them.
Blaze pouted. "That's really too bad then." He turned to Yiren and smiled. "But if you need help with anything we will come to your rescue, after all, we're friends. Maybe you can accompany us when we start our journey to the Demon realm? We can meet up after we become official heroes of the human realm!"
"That's right! Maybe you can do that! I can give you a teleportation scroll so that you can teleport yourself to us next year!" Summer said with a grin.
Are they really desperate to have her in their group? She sighed in defeat before she gave them a smile. "Fine. I guess that can work. Since you are my friends, I will come to help you defeat the demon king."
"Let's seal our promises with a blood seal." Voldik suggested. He wanted to make sure that Yiren won't go back from her words.
