218 Table Hopping @ Table 2

"Boss is leaving the thirteenth floor now. Hmm…I think she is heading to the top-floor suite." Hanzo made sure the update he passed unto Rentao was real-time.

"Copy that. I will inform Young master Yuvin about that right away." Rentao promptly replied as he let his eyes search for Wang Yuvin and Europa in the vast sea of people.

Soon when he caught sight of the uncle and niece duo, Rentao politely excused himself from table ten. Chairman Qin just nodded his head, a sign that Rentao was now allowed to go. Rentao then slightly lowered his head down, said his thanks and walked away from the Qin family.

"I don't know what is happening but it seemed like Reiji is up to something. The waiter who served us… isn't he Reiji's right hand and assistant?" Chairman Qin said before he took a sip from his cup of Gyokuro tea.

"You are probably right about that, Father." Qin Sho responded as he fixed his eyes on Rentao.

"Hmmm… Reiji probably does not want us to worry about her so she decided not to involve us to her personal affairs." Chairman Qin sounded slightly bitter yet greatly concerned at the same time.

"Honestly, I do not know whether I should feel touched or offended by her decision." Qin Sho heaved a sigh as he put his arms across his chest.

"But since you pointed out that the waiter is her assistant, Father. I now wonder if the female server who offered wine and champagne earlier was Reiji…" Qin Sho said as he roamed his eyes in search for Wang Reiji whom he thought was still inside the banquet hall disguising as a waitress.

Though he hated to hop on from one table to another just to entertain people like they were his esteemed guests, Wang Yuvin had no choice but to put his best smile on and danced to the society's tune1. Right after leaving table 10, Wang Yuvin, together with Europa, strode to table 2 which was being occupied by a high ranking military official and his family.

"Good evening, esteemed guests! In behalf of the Wang Family, please allow me to welcome you to Oriental Europa. Also, I would like to take thank your family for attending this night's masquerade ball." Underneath the long nose black venetian mask Wang Yuvin was wearing, a smile painted on his face.

"Good evening, esteemed guests." Europa said, shying away from the guests, hiding behind her uncle's back.

"Actually, we should be the ones thanking the Wang family for inviting us! Tonight's masquerade ball is a feast of color and elegance! Everyone looks stunning with their perfect choice for gown and suit." The matriarch of the family seemed really excited to start a conversation with Wang Yuvin.

However, the head of the family seemed unimpressed with Wang Yuvin that he did not even bother himself to look at the young master and his lovely niece.

Surprisingly, Wang Yuvin seemed not to mind the indifference he was getting from the man. In fact, he was okay with the patriarch's cold treatment towards him. He did not want to associate himself or their family to anyone who attended the party. They did not wish to depend on other family's capability for they were more capable than anyone. Well at least, according to Qin Rong, his trusted source, who had been living in country since the day he was born.

"Oh, My! How rude of me! I almost forget to introduce myself and our family. I am Tan Meixiang, and this handsome man here is my husband Lieutenant General Tan Jingguo. The lovely maiden here is my eldest, Tan Jiao and my youngest is Tan Guowei."

Staring at the matriarch, Wang Yuvin observed that her eyes sparked with pride every time she mentioned the surname Tan. Well, he cannot blame her for being proud of her husband's position in the society. Also, Wang Yuvin understood where the patriarch's aura of superiority came from. He was a high-ranking military officer thus so he thinks highly of himself. However, Wang Yuvin had no plans of yielding himself to him or to anyone.

"It is an honor to have finally meet Lt. General Tan Jingguo and his family. Me and my sister have been hearing only good things about you from the Fleet Admiral. He is supposed to join us tonight. Too bad he is in a cruise with his family." Wang Yuvin with as he grinned at the military official. However, the grin on his face did not last long as he quickly reverted to his casual countenance.

The Tan husband and wife were shocked and at the same time doubtful of what they heard from Wang Yuvin.

"Oh, my! So, the Wang family is friends with the Admiral." There was a trace of disbelief in Tan Meixiang's voice.

"The fleet admiral and our father were good friends. Also, he bought his wife's diamonds from our father."

Hearing the word diamonds Tan Jingguo suddenly recalled a conversation with the Fleet Admiral before. They talked about his wealthy friend who sold and gifted diamonds to him and his wife. However, Tan Jingguo still did not want to believe that the young man in front of him held that much influence and wealth in his hands.

"Is that so? Why did the Wang family ventured to hotel chains than continue selling diamonds?" Tan Jingguo said, smirking.

"Unfortunately, my sister and I had no interests in selling diamonds. We would just like to keep our diamonds to ourselves. Family heirloom, I must say." Wang Yuvin said with a smile.

"However, our father told us to be generous to dear friends. We have plenty of diamonds to spare after all. Right, Europa?" He added as his hand caressed Europa's hair.

Soon as Wang Yuvin's hand landed on top of Europa' braid hair, that was when the Tan couple noticed Europa and the ornaments on the little girl's head. The stones were not just some cheap crystals. They were melee diamonds2! Also, the quantity and cut quality of the tiny diamonds on her head were impressive. Truly befitting a granddaughter of a diamond dealer.

"Yes, uncle! Just like what I did to some of my diamonds. I gave them to my pet Misha so she will look pretty like me." Europa said, her eyes full of innocence.

"P-pet? Your pet wears diamonds?" Tan Meixiang sounded really shocked and felt inferior at the same time. Really? Even the pet of the little girl in front of them own diamonds?! That was just insane!

Europa was about to answer Tan Meixiang but Wang Yuvin scooped her up and carried her in his arms.

"Anyway, please excuse me and my lovely niece. We still have tables to visit and guests to greets." Wang Yuvin said triumphantly as he turned his back to the Tan family who was now looking at the uncle and niece pair like they were precious treasures.
