Maybe by the time she found out the truth, all her sorrows and pains would have become negligible.
"Really? Are you sure?" The news seemed to make her ecstatic and excited. She was now looking at Zed with shining eyes.
"Yes, Jean." Zed nodded again positively.
The smile that came on Jean's face now was so beautiful that Zed almost lost control of himself.
"What are you two talking about?" Moore came over and seeing Jean smiling so happily, curiously enquired.
"Oh, it's nothing, just small talk. Where did you disappear off to?" Without giving a reply, Jean asked him instead.
"I was just taking a walk around," Moore replied with a smile but also gave a secret wink to Zed behind Jean's eyes.
Zed understood his intentions instantly, and he excused himself,"Jean, I've got to get to the bathroom. Excuse me for a second."
And then he followed Moore to a more secluded place.
Slightly suspicious and puzzled, Zed followed Moore to the bathroom. Jean watched them walk away mysteriously. But pretty soon, she was lost in her own thoughts.
"What's going on?"
Zed asked Moore as soon as they reached a quiet place.
"I saw a dubious person when I took a walk just now. The way he was acting seemed suspicious to me," Moore informed him with a grave expression on his face.
Zed stayed silent for a while, as he looked around with furrowed eyebrows.
"Zed, aren't you worried?" Seeing Zed's expression, Moore got anxious and asked.
"Worried about what? Whether we are worried or not, what's bound to happen will happen and there's no stopping it." Zed sighed.
His reaction seemed meaningful to Moore, which was evident from the way his face turned puzzled. "You've known already? Is that why you…" Moore asked.
Zed nodded in affirmative before Moore could finish his sentence. "Yes, but my version of the story could be different from yours. In any case, no need to worry. There are so many people here. He can't play any tricks."
"But Jean is pregnant now. We need to be extra cautious about protecting her. Hey, I say, have you ever offended that guy or something?"
"Maybe." Zed muddled through the question and soon smiled bitterly. "You're right. Protecting Jean is our top priority at the moment. Let's forget ab

se.
Maranda saw what was happening and her eyes widened on watching Jean pass her and walk ahead. "Hey, Jean. How can you do that?"
"Are you jealous? You can ask Ron to carry you if you are jealous." Jean naughtily grimaced at her and Ron.
Maranda flushed and said hurriedly,"I am not a spoiled child like you. I can walk myself. Thank you very much."
After saying that, she tried to catch up to Zed purposefully.
However, after a short while, even she was too tired to go on and had to stop and catch her breath.
Zed kept on carrying Jean and walking ahead and pretty soon, all the others were left far behind.
Jean wrapped her arms around his neck tightly and, planting a little kiss onto him, asked anxiously,"Zed, are you tired? You've been carrying me for quite a long time. Do you want to stop for some rest?"
"Not for the moment. It is time for you to witness my physical strength and stamina," Zed said, showing no sign of irregular breathing.
Jean blushed at his words and she replied shyly,"I always know that you have good physical strength."
If it was not so, she wouldn't have been tormented by him in bed all night long.
Zed understood what she was referring to secretly, and he replied with a bedroom smile. "Honey, you know me best."
Jean's face was scarlet red now. She regretted saying so much that she almost wanted to bite her own tongue.
"Don't worry. I can't do that to you now. You are safe," Zed said when he felt her muscles tighten on his back.
