Chapter 912 Business Partner

Julie sized Jean up and concluded with a sneer that Jean was no match for her. With a friendly smile on her face, she went up to Jean and politely greeted her, "Nice to meet you. My name is Julie, Zed's partner. I guess that we will be seeing each other quite often from now on."

"Nice to meet you, too. I'm Jean." Seeing the friendly smile on Julie's face, Jean relaxed. 'She doesn't look like a manipulative woman judging from her appearance. I guess she is a simple, easy-going woman after all, ' Jean thought naively.

"Jean? That's a nice name," Julie said with a smile. "Let's go inside. I bet you will love the food here." She led the way and Jean and Zed followed her into the restaurant.

The place was not too big, but it was delicately and comfortably decorated. The low music was so perfectly combined with the warm relaxing lighting. The seats were tatami, which made the customers feel at home. So far, the three were impressed.

"Jean, what would you like to have?" Zed asked her in a soft voice, as he placed the menu in front of her.

Julie, who was sitting across Jean and Zed, felt a little lonely and embarrassed, so she asked the waiter to get her another menu.

Jean looked through the menu and said, "I'd like this soup and the fried rice with pineapple. Thank you." She handed the menu back to Zed.

He looked at Jean affectionately, and reached out his hand to gently touch her hair. "Do you want anything else, baby? You've been shopping in the mall for such a long time. You must be really tired. I guess you should have something more to replenish your strength."

Jean shook her head. "No, this is more than enough. You know I don't have much of an appetite these days," she replied in a low voice.

Zed sighed helplessly. "All right. I'll order something extra for myself and you can try some of it if you'd like." He then looked at the menu to decide what he was going to have.

Meanwhile, Julie had ordered her meal. She had asked for a soup and four other dishes. So, when she heard Jean say that she wanted just two dishes, Julie felt a little embarrassed.

"By the way, Jean, you can call me anytime to accompany you to go shopping. I know a lot of good shopping malls. Plus, I have membership in many stores, so I can get you discounts," Julie said in a warm voice.

"That sounds great." Jean nodded with a smile. She was not good at

When her sister ran away from the wedding, Autumn was forced to marry Charles.

His name had been linked to innumerable ladies.

He had different girlfriends for every day of a year.

Autumn had never thought that she would fall in love with him.

out of the blue, "Why don't we get a dog? That way, you won't be bored alone at home."

She pressed her lips into a thin line and was lost in her own thoughts for a while.

A few seconds later, she finally spoke slowly, "I really am bored staying at home all day. I know that you are busy with the hotel auction and it looks like it'll work out well. So, I'm thinking about going to work in the hotel once the auction is successful."

"No. No way. I'm not going to allow you to work anywhere. There is a golf course, a swimming pool and so many other recreational facilities nearby. If you are bored at home, go around and have some fun. I'm responsible for making money for our family and you're in charge of spending it. Got it?"

That was Zed's final decision. He knew that he had to be careful. Jean was still very emotional and moody at times. He was afraid that she would be triggered if something out of the ordinary happened if she went back to work. It was hard to calm her down once she was triggered. Jean had recovered a lot, but he really didn't want to see her getting hurt by anyone or anything.

"Julie talks well. She must be pretty good with business too. What does she do exactly?" Jean asked curiously.

"She's working in an auction house now. She has promised to help me win this hotel auction, and after that, she would be the hotel room manager," Zed answered Jean's question honestly.

Jean nodded her head, but said nothing. She felt a little depressed after hearing Zed's words. It looked like Julie would be working with Zed longer than she had thought.
