As he watched Jean disappearing into the distance, something hit James really hard in his heart, and he was worried. So, he followed her furtively behind to make sure that she was safe. James left once Jean was safely inside.
Jean had a shower as soon as she got home. When she had dried herself off and was rubbing the body lotion on in front of the mirror, she felt how skinny she was. She couldn't help but feel sad.
She scrutinized herself in front of the mirror and didn't like how skinny she had become. Looking at her scrawny body, Jean began to cry.
Zed came home late in the afternoon. He brought the groceries into the kitchen and began preparing dinner. He wanted to make something delicious to cheer Jean up and make her happy.
Jean sat on the couch, staring at his phone while it vibrated. She wondered who was messaging him.
However, she was fighting herself by thinking, 'No! You can't, Jean! You have to trust Zed.'
Twisting the corner of her shirt in her hands, she was trying to resist the temptation and stop her curiosity. During her struggle, the smell of food that came from the kitchen had distracted her.
Jean slumped back into the couch and pulled her phone out, opening the WeChat app.
Julie had posted a few new pictures. She seemed to be on the beach and wore a bikini. She looked curvaceous, and the bikini had complimented her figure perfectly.
"Many men would love to see these photos! I'm sure there are a lot of men who liked her posts," Jean mumbled. She glanced at her A cups and was even more frustrated.
Her mind started to wonder if Zed had seen those pictures and if he did, what his reaction might be.
The more she wondered, the more she tortured herself and felt upset.
"Jean, dinner is ready!" Zed placed the various dishes on the table and set the plates for them.
"Okay, I am coming," Jean responded. She put down her phone and sat at the table where she filled her plate with a lot of food.
Both of them didn't say much during dinner. Zed quietly watched how much Jean was enjoying
“Do you still want to run away after what happened last night?”
Their relationship changes overnight. She tries to keep her distance from him, while he comes closer and closer.
Spoiling her, he gives her everything she desires. His only wish is to keep her around. The whole world is envious of what she has.
“Never rush in a relationship,” she says calmly.
g anxious for lying.
"Okay, I'll wait for you in the lobby then. Let's meet up. I have something to tell you!" her mother said and hung up.
Julie was stunned for a moment. Quickly, she scrambled out of bed and put her business uniform on as she made a call to Zed.
The phone rang for a while, and Julie was panicking. She begged, "Please! Please pick up the phone! This is very important!"
She kept repeating the words over and over until finally, Zed picked it up.
"Oh, thank goodness! You picked up! I have to tell you that my mother has come to the hotel to check up on me. I have to go back to work for today! Please keep your wife away from there. I don't want her to misunderstand anything. Okay?" said Julie in distress.
"Okay, I'll inform the employees to cooperate with you," said Zed.
"Great! Thank you so much! My mother is in the lobby now. If she asks the staff, please tell them to cover for me by telling her that I am out shopping for the office," Julie said in a hurry.
"Okay," Zed agreed.
Once Julie had hung up the phone, she rushed to the hotel. Her mother was in the lobby waiting for her just like she said she was. Julie strode in, sat next to her and asked, "What's the matter?"
"Your younger brother mentioned that you have been traveling to many places of late. You must earn a lot of money," Julie's mother said.
