James hesitated for a while, then he finally turned toward Julie, picking her up. He carried her back to the room, because he didn't want her to be embarrassed.
After closing the door behind him, he slowly put her down.
Julie stood facing him and smiled. "I knew you wouldn't leave me like that. You do care about me, don't you?" she said with confidence.
"So what if I do? That doesn't mean I would tolerate what you do forever." James stared at her with a grim face. "I've seen what you have on your phone. I know all the tricks that you've played and the things that you've caused between Zed and Jean. You're such a scheming woman! No matter how beautiful you are, I don't think that I can keep doing this with you anymore. You don't deserve to be loved."
Julie froze when she heard what James had said. Gaping at him wide-eyed and in shock, she mumbled, "What, what do you mean? You looked through my phone, when? So it was you who told Zed all those things."
"Whatever! I don't have to explain anything to you. You should have known that eventually. Someone would find out the evil things that you plotted and did," James said, looking at her with an angry scowl.
James was about to turn and leave, but he heard footsteps and voices in the corridor. It seemed that some people were checking into their room on the same floor. So James had to wait there until they left.
"How dare you! Say such things to me. Am I wrong and guilty for trying to pursue true love?" Julie exclaimed angrily.
James couldn't help but sneer and shake his head in disbelief. "True love? Are you kidding me? I'm sure you love money more than anything else. To get what you want, you're willing to do anything. Now you want to talk about true love? If you really loved Zed, you wouldn't sleep with me so easily."
"You!" Julie was shocked to hear that from James and her heartbeat rose rapidly.
"What? I'm right! If Zed had nothing, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't pursue him." After saying that, James turned to leave, but Julie stepped forward and held his hand immediately. "Don't go, James. I have something to tell you."
"What? I don't want to talk to
“Let's go and register our marriage on your birthday!”
Marrying Daniel should have been her best birthday gift, but everything was ruined the moment when she caught him sleeping with another woman on the day before her birthday.
“He’s going to marry that woman! She... was my best friend!"
ng the last several days with her.
Zed shook his head. "I hired an assistant. He'll help me take care of everything in the hotel. Nothing can go wrong under our supervision. If anything should arise, he'll call me. Don't worry."
"I don't have to worry about it. It's not my hotel, after all." Jean shrugged her shoulders indifferently and walked to the front desk to check today's class schedule.
"The hotel's named after you. How can you say it's not yours?" Zed smiled and stood next to her. Then he gently tapped her nose. "Honey, what do you think if we move back into our home?"
"Why are we talking about this again?" Jean rolled her eyes at him.
"Although it's comfortable living here, I'm afraid the mice will make a nest in our home if we don't go back to have a look."
"That's cute. We'll have a family of mice when we get back."
"Sweetheart..." Zed pulled a wry face and looked at her with a helpless expression. "You don't want to live here forever, do you?"
"What would be wrong with that? I work here, so it's convenient to live here." Jean shrugged as if she didn't care.
While they were chatting, a beautiful woman with a gorgeous figure stood at the door. Jean looked up, and when she saw who it was, she barely forced a smile. "Are you looking for James?"
Zed was a little flustered when he saw Julie.
"Yeah, isn't James here yet?" Julie looked around inside, but there was no sign of James.
