Zed could feel his head starting to hurt—this was driving him crazy.
"Jean, how can I make you believe me?"
Zed seemed to give up on convincing Jean. It was his way of getting what he wanted.
He already had Hess to help him in work. However, he wasn't sure about his loyalty. This was very important. If Hess wasn't loyal to him, having Hess meant nothing to Zed.
Just as Zed got to thinking about how loyal Hess really was, Hess had already left the office.
When Hess closed the door, he let out a deep breath. Just as he turned around, a woman came running into his arms. He was so shocked that he almost let out a cry.
Hess was quickly able to recognize who the woman was. She was one of the floor service managers in the J Hotel. They had hooked up before, and they were the ones that caused the sanitation problem to that hotel room.
The other day, they had sex and left in a rush, which didn't give her enough time to clean things up.
"You scared me! Don't do that again. Boss is inside. If he finds out about us, things won't look good for us!" Hess muttered as he rubbed his chest, calming himself down.
He grabbed her and they walked off.
"So what if he finds out? I can just tell him that I'm your girlfriend. You promised me you would marry me, didn't you?"
For her, marrying someone like Hess was good enough. Hess wasn't just talented, he also earned enough for her so she could have a comfortable life.
But she would never know what was on his mind. Marriage was the last thing on his mind. And even if he did got married, he wouldn't marry her.
Of course, Hess wouldn't tell her that. He still needed her so he couldn't afford to lose her.
Hess put on a smile and said to her, "Of course, honey. We're going to get married. I just
Jean Wen sacrificed herself for family interests. Before her husband divorced her, she made every effort to please him.
"You are inexperienced in bed," he said coldly.
"You! Give that land to my family, or I won't agree to divorce," Jean replied furiously.
"Fine. It is exactly what I am thinking about," he sneered.
in that case I'm going to make sure that everyone in this entire hotel knows what you did yesterday. The truth of the sanitation problems of that hotel room."
The manager looked at her fingers and asked nervously, "Five thousand?"
Ellie scoffed, "Are you serious? You really think your big secret is just worth five thousand dollars? Are you kidding me?"
"Fifty thousand?" she asked again.
It was a big amount of money for her. She did not come from a rich family. She didn't have any savings because her salary could barely cover her expenses.
"Exactly! Fifty thousand dollars to keep my mouth shut. Are we clear?"
"I don't have that kind of money, Ellie. I'm begging you. Please don't do this to me."
Ellie had to give Hess credit for hooking up with this woman. She was almost as sexy as Julie's. Ellie couldn't help but envy her body. She shook her head and said, "No, I'm not doing that. Fifty thousand dollars and that's the deal."
The manager sat on the bed, looking sullen.
Ellie smiled as she spoke again, "You can always ask Hess you know. If he can't come up with the money then he'll ask Julie, right?"
Ellie smirked triumphantly before leaving.
