Jean smiled happily after hearing Zed's words. When she finished breakfast, she took the files Zed had given her for the hotel and excitedly drove to the hotel.
She got Zed's call soon after she left. "By the way, Jean, since you've agreed to take over the new hotel, could you please consider moving back?" Zed asked.
Jean had already thought about it, so she answered right away, "Ok, you can come help me move this weekend."
This was the best news for Zed—even better than Jean offering to take over the new hotel.
He nodded, "Great! I can't wait to help you move. It's a deal!"
Jean hung up the phone and continued to drive. Meanwhile, Julie had just arrived at the new hotel.
Zed retained everything for the hotel operations. When Julie showed up, the receptionist thought she was a customer.
So when she walked inside, a beautiful girl greeted to her and asked, "Good morning, miss. Would you like to check in? If you come with me this way, you can register here."
Julie condescendingly glanced at her. She didn't care for girls like this one who had just greeted her—they never stood a chance against her anyway.
She asked the girl, "Who are you? What's your position here?"
The girl didn't think this was unusual—it was typical of hotel guests to ask a lot of questions. "I'm the lobby manager. What can I do for you?"
"Lobby manager?"
Julie was a little curious. 'She has no idea what's coming for her. She doesn't know I'm here to take her job. That position's supposed to be for me, ' Julie thought.
"Yes, miss. Is there anything I can do for you?" the lobby manager said politely.
She was a bit displeased at how Julie was looking at her but that did't stop her from treating her politely, because she knew it was part of her job.
"Nothing. I just want to tell you that you won't be the lobby manager very soon," Julie said arrogantly.
"I beg your pardon, miss?"
She tried her best to be polite but it was increasingly becoming difficult.
"You didn't understand that? I'm going to be the n

entioned the word waitress. She suddenly froze—stunned.
"What do you mean by 'waitress'?" she asked.
"I said the waitresses have a uniform. Didn't you know that?" Jean replied.
Julie couldn't calm herself down when she heard this. She walked towards Jean and questioned her, "You're hiring me as a waitress? How can you do this to me?"
Jean sneered, "Every lobby manager has to start from the bottom, even if that means being a waitress. What's wrong with being a waitress? It's a job, right? Miss Julie, if you do well then maybe you'll be fit for a promotion."
Jean made sure to speak slowly so that Julie would hear every word.
"But you didn't tell me this yesterday. You didn't tell me I was going to be a waitress!"
Julie wasn't happy with this arrangement to say the least. She didn't want to be a waitress. Plus, a waitress pays lower than a lobby manager. If she was satisfied with being a waitress then she would've given up on Zed a long time ago!
"But I didn't say that you could be the lobby manager, either. Now you have two choices: you can stay here and be a waitress or you can leave now," Jean said coldly.
"Fine! We'll see!"
As soon as Julie finished speaking, she walked out of the hotel.
Jean shrugged the whole thing off and asked the staff to gather. After a simple self-introduction, Jean went to her office...
