As they walked to the next luxury boutique hand in hand Ivy could feel the tension in Noah, he held on to her hand tightly and his walk was slightly faster than normal. He would usually slow his pace down when they walked together.
Ivy wanted to relieve some of Noah's tension, she could still feel his annoyance at the situation that had just occurred even though he tried his best to hide it. She remembered how easily and quickly he had shielded her; she felt happy and proud that he was her lover.
Building up her courage she smiled and said, "Your hands would look better wrapped around my neck."
Noah stopped his footsteps and he had been holding back the anger he felt at the two delusionally greedy idiots he had just met. Hearing Ivy he was blindsided by her words, usually she would never be so open in public.
In the bedroom, she would free her inhibitions and express herself but the fact she had been so bold in public truly surprised him. He let his mind wander to their previous entanglements and he looked forward to this evening together, she had better be prepared he thought.
He turned to her and leaned in, he licked her neck and felt her shiver before he then leaned into her ear and said, "Good girl, wait and see what I do to you later." Noah then smiled and continued walking hand in hand with Ivy.
Ivy realised she had played with fire. It had worked, she had made Noah relax but she had landed herself in some trouble. She hoped he would at least wait till they got home later, but as she looked at his smile she thought it would be worth a night of torturous pleasure.
Noah stopped outside of a clothing boutique and opened the door for Ivy letting her walk in first. Ivy was met with a young well dressed man in a suit, he came rushing out and waving his hand.
"I'm sorry miss, today the shop is closed for…" The young man's words fell when he looked behind Ivy and saw Noah. He then said, "Mr Adler, is this beauty you are soon to be wife?"
Ivy looked up to Noah. His smile was gone so he knew they were not close friends but Noah had obviously closed the boutique for them to shop in peace once again. He thought of everything so far, Ivy was impressed by his attention to detail.
The young man then bowed, "I'm sorry miss I didn't know you were with Mr Adler, my name is Taj. It is my honour to serve you both today."
Ivy nodded and saw a curvy girl with short red hair come out from the back. She knew Noah wasn't one for small talk so she said, "Thank you." She then glanced up at Noah and asked, "So is this where we both pick out our outfit for today?"
Noah then turned to Ivy and said, "We will be matching so you chose first."
Taj then walked forward and said, "This is my assistance Kammie she will help you dress if that is okay?"
Ivy nodded, "Thank you both my name is Ivy. I can't wait to see some dresses."
Kammie stepped forward with a bright smile and said, "Hello Ivy, will you follow me to the dresses I have picked out. You can tell me what you like and we can see from the styles I have picked if any suit what you have in mind."
Ivy then let go of Noah's hand and she saw him walk to a sofa area. The door then opened again and Aiden and Thomas entered, they smiled at Ivy before they then joined Noah. Seeing he was probably going to be busy with business she said, "Back soon babe." Ivy then playfully winked at Noah.
Noah saw her smile and the sparkle in her eyes and realised that this was the most important day of his life so far. He turned to Aiden and enquired, "Who were they?"
Thomas then filled Noah in on James and Lucy.
Noah was unimpressed at the name drop, it wouldn't aid them. If anything he knew Dean was just like him and wouldn't let anyone use his name like this. Noah asked, "Did you let Dean know?"
"Yes sir." Aiden had called Dean's secretary and said they would handle it.
"Then leave it." Noah didn't want to waste any more time on the imbeciles from earlier. Noah sat back and Aiden handed him his Epad. Noah looked through the work that was pending and handed the Epad back to Aiden. All work could wait when it came to Ivy and her happiness.
Kammie was showing a rail of dresses to Ivy, the styles varied and Ivy didn't see any that she liked. They were all beautiful but they were missing her unique style. The dresses were conventionally beautiful and appropriate for a bride but Ivy didn't like any of them.
Kammie picked up on Ivy's facial expressions, her years of experience taught her that none of the dresses she picked were suitable. Every bride should feel beautiful so she thought for a moment and then said, "Stay here I may have just the dress for you."
Ivy then watched as Kammie disappeared into a back room. The dresses were all beautiful and she saw rows of cream, white, ivory and pale pink. None of those colours would work for Ivy. She knew they were the conventional colours but she was edgy and never liked to follow the crowd with her outfits or in her lifestyle.
Ivy heard the door open again and saw Kammie appear she had a dress bag in her hand and she smiled widely at Ivy, "I think I found it, this is going to be thee dress."
Ivy smiled at her enthusiasm, she didn't want to disappoint Kammie and hoped that it would suit her vision for her wedding day.
