Chapter 15 - Are You Back?

The next few days flew by, Ivy relaxed at Jamie's apartment and did a few odd jobs on the dark web. Earning herself some money she decided to look for a new apartment so she wouldn't have to keep annoying Jamie. Jamie was happy to have her but she knew he wouldn't bring any girls back while she was there and for that she was thankful but she didn't want to disrupt his life.

Getting out of her sweats for the first time in a few days she washed up and decided to wear something different today so they would take her more seriously as she houses hunted.

She dressed like the old her from before when she was daddy's little girl, perfect wife to be. It was a white dress that covered her arms and chest, it hugged her body but it went to her calf's in length. Sighing she looked at herself and took it all off. Nope, not me.

Looking again she grabbed an all-black body bodycon dress and a black coat with red silk lining matching it with her black Louboutin heels she was happy. Leaving her hair down and adding a red lip she was ready to leave.

Giving Zeus some food, water and an ear scratch she left Jamie's. She called a cab and went to Mortimer Properties. She knew this place very well as when she was working with her father any money she earned she and Tony had bought houses to do them up and sell them again later, it made a great profit.

At the time she was gullible and told Cole and he would somehow need investments and my profit would end up in his hands.

Tony was the CEO and he was a great guy so it should be no problem finding a place. She was sure what she wanted she just had to find it.

She had taken a break long enough now, she would return to her old life just as a better version of herself.

Walking through the office doors she saw the receptionist stand to greet her. She remembered her too she was a cute young girl just out of college now though she was a bit older and dressed like a sophisticated lady.

"Ms Hughes I missed you".

"Hi Lily, how's my cute girl".

"Tony has been very busy....but he will be in a better mood after he sees you".

"mmm".

"This way, oh please come by more often I'll go get you some tea".

Knock Knock

"Come in".

Ivy makes a gesture for lily to be quiet and walked into Tony's office.

"Is that my welcome after the revenue I brought you?".

"Ivy".

Tony stands up he's tall and slim wearing a grey suit. He runs a hand through his blonde hair and approaches her with a warm smile. Ivy went for a handshake but was engulfed in a hug.

"Tight".

"Oh sorry please sit". Tony takes us to his sofas. Lilly enters and places down a coffee for Tony and a tea for myself.

"So are you back?".

"I'm back.... but it'll be different this time. No cutting other people in no handouts".

"Great, you want to look at a few places together?".

"Yes, but I also need a place".

"No problem. I'll just grab some keys and we can take my car".

Tony leads me out of his office and I finish the tea as I wait with Lily for him to return.

"He's in a good mood again, all thanks to you".

"He's looking forward to the profits".

"No no, he's happy your back again".

Ivy turned to see Tony smiling and walking towards her. Putting down her tea, Tony takes her arm and leads Ivy to his car. Opening the door for her and helping her inside. He gets in and gives her a beaming smile again.

"Shall we".

All-day we spent touring houses, mansions and apartments. We found many that Ivy had wanted to work with him on but none for herself. It was late in the evening and they had just left the last house, walking out together and then they got into his car.

"Dinner?.... to our collaboration again?".

"Sure".

She hadn't gone out on a business dinner with Tony for a while. Now they had properties to talk about, why not do it over dinner.

"What do you fancy".

"Steak".

"Your wish is my command".

Tony drives to an upscale steak house. They are welcomed in and they sat down at a table by the window. Outside there where twinkling lights in the trees. It was very pretty. Ivy looked around and thought it was a bit romantic with candles and many couples.

"Can I take your orders please"?

Welcoming the interruption of the waiter Ivy smiled and ordered.

"Two sirloin steaks with a side of dauphinoise potatoes, grilled vegetables and pepper sauce please... You can pick the wine".

Tony smiles and orders a bottle of red wine.

"I love it when you order for me".

Tony looked like he genuinely meant that.

"Other men would hate it".

"I trust your judgement".

Ivy smiled Tony was a smooth talker and a nice guy, professional and sophisticated just not her type. Her type was... she cursed herself when Noah came to mind. What came to mind was her body under his. She blushed and chose not to think of last night anymore.
