Chapter 40 - Banshee Sharon Song

Noah stood in his office staring out of the floor to ceiling window, anyone would think that he was thinking about the business proposal that Aiden was reading. But Noah was actually remembering the fun he had with Ivy the night before and how he had left her naked and curled up on their large King size bed. He decided to listen to Aiden's reports, if he thought of her any longer he would leave work early just to indulge himself.

Turning to Aiden Noah asked "What about the shipment?."​​

Noah had been selling legal and illegal weapons to Governor Archer May. It was a good profit for both sides but the Governor decided to miss the last payment and nobody did that to Noah Adler. Noah decided to teach him a lesson by digging up all the Governors sons misdeeds including bribery, solicitation and many affairs with married wealthy women. The Governors son had went to jail soon after.

"He refused to pay so we also leaked that he had 17 counts of bribery, conspiracy, perjury, and income-tax charges from his time as governor, as well as fraudulent loans to himself to his own savings account. He was due for court but.... I heard from Inspector Anthony Jaxson that he fled the jail and is on the run. He may come looking for you for revenge."

"Mmm". Noah laughed. "If he has the guts, let him come. Tell Thomas to keep a closer eye on Ivy and not let her know so as she doesn't worry."

"Yes Sir."

Meanwhile

Ivy was talked into visiting Pierces and her restaurant because he wanted her opinion on the interior design. Ivy had woken up a bit sluggish she blamed Noah in her heart for too much night time activity the night before. No matter how long they ended up doing it she had never felt this bad she ached everywhere. During the meeting she hadn't taken her coat off and she started to shiver.

"You ok Ivy?." Pierce had asked he was concerned as Ivy had rosy cheeks but she still kept her coat on.

"Let's just finish up for today."

They concluded the meeting and said goodbye to the architect and interior decorator and walked out.

Thomas on seeing Ivy's condition got concerned. He had never seen Ivy look this miserable and she kept saying that she was ok. Not taking anymore excuses from Ivy he grabbed her then put his hand on her forehead.

"I'm sorry about this Ivy."

Ivy swayed from Thomas pulling her.

"You have a very high temperature but you are shivering please can you take some medicine now and go home and rest."

"Yes yes yes stop nagging me I will do it now." Ivy huffed Thomas was like a mother hen clucking away at her. She new now she was ill. Giving in she said goodbye to Pierce and followed Thomas out.

In her dazed state Ivy heard loud heels approach.

"You bitch, you got your man to bar me from every restaurant too. You took my career now I can't get a decent meal."

Ivy looked at the banshee Sharon Song as she continued her barrage of abuse.

"I'm sorry I didn't do or ask Noah to do anything you have done this yourself."

"You clearly have put the word out, I've even had many young male suitors cancel dates I'm sure it's all your doing you bitch." Sharon Song stepped forward to hit Ivy but Thomas stood in front protecting her.
