Ivy looked into the bags, she had to admit that Noah had superb taste. He had chosen her a teal green silk dress, it was an off the shoulder design so it showed off her stunning neckline and collar bones. The dress hugged her curves but stopped just above the knee, it was perfect for dinner with her dad. Noah had bought her a new pair of black Louboutin's and a black Chanel bag.
She would have worn jeans or an ordinary dress from her closet like she had last night. Though none of her wardrobe was average, Noah had filled it up with designer brands. Every season new clothing had arrived, she didn't know when he did it. Her closet would all of a sudden be filled with new items. She knew Noah's intentions in giving her a completely new outfit, she presumed he had wanted to show her and her dad that he would provide for her and look after her.
Ivy knew her dad would like Noah, he had only tried to force her to marry Cole because he had only seen the good in him. Cole was very good at hiding his misdeeds. But for a hacker like Ivy, she had no problem seeing through his lies and when she did, she used them against him so he had no chance at a reconciliation with her.
That's why she had been content in her relationship with Noah. He had given her security and trust. She never asked about his illegal work but he knew she was aware of it, she didn't want to be nosey and some questions were best not asked. In the end, it made them stronger, they both preferred not to know certain things. Like he never asked about Cole and she was sure he wouldn't want to know. Little did he know she never even held Cole's hand.
She fixed her shoes and put her phone and makeup into her new Chanel bag. She put her other items in Noah's closet, so she could use them if she ever stayed here again. She looked at herself in the mirror, she looked like her mum. A smile graced her lips, she did not doubt if she were still alive her mum and dad would still be happy together.
Her dad for all his faults had only tried to do what he thought was best at the time so she now forgave him as her anger had died down. Her dad just wanted her to be happily married like he was. Cole seemed like the perfect man, who knew?
She walked out and saw Noah reading some documents, who said a man was at his sexiest when working was right. His head was down and he was concentrating so she sat on the sofa, taking out her phone to text her friends while she waited.
Noah looked up at Ivy, he didn't know how long she sat there, he checked his Patek Phillippe Sky Moon Tourbillon watch. They had twenty minutes until they had to meet her dad for dinner. He stood and fixed his suit jacket and put on his coat. He saw Ivy smile at him and she walked towards him and fixed his tie for him, it was her habitual habit to fix it and he enjoyed the pampering attention.
"Ready?"
Ivy nodded and smoothed down Noah's suit jacket.
"Let's go."
Noah held Ivy's waist as they exited his office, Thomas and Aiden were waiting for them both.
"Evening boss."
"Sir."
Noah nodded at them both and they all entered into the lift, making their way to Noah's black Bentley Continental. Thomas held the door for Ivy while she got in and she thanked him. Aiden did the same for Noah and then both got in the front of the car themselves and drove off to the restaurant.
Thomas turned around and cough broaching a sensitive topic.
Cough Cough
"What?"
"Sir I ran that errand you asked but they were out of stock... the size is emm … unique. So I ordered online with next day delivery."
Noah just stared at Thomas and Thomas felt like a chill ran up his spine. He quickly turned around and faced the front, still feeling his boss glaring at him. He had spent the extra money for it to be sent in the next day delivery why was he so annoyed Thomas wondered.
Noah ignored his foolish guard and pulled Ivy onto his knee and he watched her text, Jamie and Pierce, in their WhatsUp group chat. She had worn her long wavy black hair down but used clips so it all fell on her right shoulder. Noah lifted her hair to the side so he could kiss her neck and frowned upon seeing the bite mark, he shouldn't have done it. The mark was red and angry glared it him but he smiled at the memory. They were both so compatible in so many ways, he had never met someone before that enticed him to be with her every minute. He just wanted her.
They arrived at Mourne Seafood, it was an expensive seafood restaurant that he owned. Visitors from all financial backgrounds could enjoy fresh shellfish carefully hand-selected from the independently-run shellfish beds. But for Elites like himself, Noah had created private rooms that faced a beautiful garden. It evoked a romantic and intimate feel giving dinners privacy and beauty surrounding them.
Noah held Ivy's waist as they exited his car and went inside, Thomas and Aiden followed two steps behind. The head waiter bowed when they arrived and he immediately showed them into their own private room.
Ivy walked into the private room and was amazed it was so beautiful, she saw her dad and smiled at him. Her dad stood up to greet her first.
"Ivy, you look so like your mother."
"Thanks, dad."
Ivy stood to the side and looked at the others waiting to be introduced.
"This is Noah... my."
