Chapter 6 - Goodbye Arce

I turned fifteen years old last week, I bought all my equipment at the weapons shop like. short sword, dagger, throwing knives, and a hunting bow, my nom spent everyday of last year trying to convince not to leave mom would beg.

"please dont leave, with your limited magic you wont survive."

while dad was not against me doing what I want he would say.

"just be careful when you leave, there are many dangers outside the kingdom."

But I already came to terms of that, because that is the only way I will grow and gain combat experience, I then think to myself.

"I need to do something before leave."

after getting the things I need before I leave, I go to the carriage drop off zone where I'm waiting around for Rosie to return to the village, her parents told me that she will stay in the village for a day and is going to head back to the capital, I want to to have my last goodbyes, I already said my goodbyes to neighbors and friends, I then take a seat on a nearby bench watching each carriage stop by but with no signs of her on them, Night time came and the last carriage comes through the village and then from the back of the carriage comes out a blue eyes, blonde hair girl, wearing the magical knights casual clothes, She takes a close look at me, gives a warm smile at me and asks

"Hey are you Collin?"

I'm surprised a beautiful girl like her knows me,

"yeah that's me, do i know you?"

she giggles and says.

"I knew it was you, I used mana detection and you are the only one with such a low amount of mana."

I then breathe a sigh of relief and reply.

"of course its you Rosie, I should have known."

and before I can say anything else she walks up to me and gives me a hug, I hesitate a little but then I reciprocate her hug with one of my own, and I say.

"you need to tell me everything."

she replies.

"ok but let me go greet my parents first."

"thats fine I'll wait for you here."

she laughs and says.

"you dont need to wait here, come with me."

She hooks her arm to my arm and starts leading me to her parents home, once we arribed to her house she greets her parents and then she leads me to her old room, I look back to see that her parents were grinning ear to ear, I think to myself.

"do they think we are going to something? I don't think Rosie sees me like that but only sees me as a friend."

At least that is what I believe, we end up sitting next to each other on her bed, there was few minutes of awkward silence, but she breaks it by saying.

"Collin I have a question for you?"

I look at her and see that she is blushing, but I dont understand why, so I nod and say

"sure ask away."

she grabs one of my hands with hers, and then I think myself."

"oh no I don't think my heart is ready for this."

I look at her and see that she is leaning a bit closer to me and whispers in my ear.

"do you like me?"

dumbfounded I chuckle a little and ask her.

"like you as a friend or something more?"

she kisses me on the cheek still blushing and says.

"something more."

I look her straight in her beautiful eyes and I reply.

"yes."

"holy shit this is actually happening, is this real or am I dreaming?"

I gently c.a.r.e.s.s her cheek and i lean closer to her face and plant a kiss on her soft lips, this was the first time I ever kissed a girl, not even in my old life did I ever get to experience this, we pull back and lean our heads foward, so now we have our foreheads touching, she sighs in relief and says.

"Im glad you feel that way too, this was one of the main reason why I came back."

I couldnt help but have a goofy smile, but then reality hit me, I already made up my mind that I would leave and explore the world, she then grabs my hand again then asks.

"would you come to the capital with me?"

surprised by what she said I think to myself.

"come on Collin you already made up your mind dont waver on your decision now."

this decision is not something I made lightly as much as I want to go with her and maybe start a new future, I cant go with her, I then reply.

"Sorry I can't Rosie."

"is something wrong? are you not ready to do something that serious with us?"

I reply.

"no it's not that."

I pause and take a deep breath.

"I just don't have any plans on staying in the kingdom, I've made a choice that I want to explore the world."

even though it's not the main reason why but I figured she doesn't need to know why I want to, she then says.

"I understand I can't make you come with me."

she stops and then she asks.

"would you like to stay the night with me?"

"goodbye Arce."
