Me and Gresnor have been brought back into the encampment and are finally recovering from out wounds, Gresnor then says.
"thank you for not leaving me behind Collin, I owe you."
I respond.
"Don't worry about how could I leave a friend behind."
he chuckles and replies.
"so is this your way of repaying me for what I did for you back at Lektar prison?"
I reply.
"yeah I guess so, I did tell you that I owe you big time didn't I?"
He laughs and says.
"yeah and that you did, but either way thank you my friend."
I respond.
"you know even if he cornered us, I would have gave my life protecting you."
he chuckles and replies
"and I would have done the same for you."
and before i get to respond to Gresnor we get interrupted by Remy, as she sits down next to me and asks with a worried voice.
"what happened out there, who could have caused you this much damage fo the both of you?"
I reply.
"It was a guy named Atlas, but he didn't look like a normal person, from what I can tell, he was walking skeleton."
she looks at me in confusion and then asks.
"wait hold up, start from the beginning."
I then respond.
"so this there is this guy named Atlas, and apparently he was born with the hero's blessing, in which would explain on how his magic is so different than what any living being would have."
she leans a bit closer and asks with interest.
"hero's blessing huh, so what kind of magic did he have?"
I reply.
"I think he called it necromancy, he said it allowed him to raise the dead, and to use them as an offensive weapon."
she replies like she understands.
"ah okay, but that doesn't explain how you guys got these wounds where your skin was peeling off."
I respond.
"well he had this spell that would blow up the bodies and then some kind of dark purple liquid spreaded out in the air, whatever that liquid was, it seemed corrosive and it caused our skin to burn and peel off."
Remy sighs and asks.
"so what this guy do to you that made you change?"
I look at her in confusion and I reply.
"what do you mean I changed, do I look different?"
she responds.
"I don't know, like I know it's you because I recognize your scent and face, but for some reason you don't have the scent of a werewolf."
In panic I sit up and ask Remy.
"what are you saying!?
she shrugs her shoulder and says.
"I don't know how else to explain it."
as I slowly try to get myself up, Remy sees that I'm struggling to stand up and she offers her help and then I finally stand up straight, I Iook at Remy and I say to her.
"here I'm going to transform and I'll have you tell me if you still have my scent."
she replies.
"alright I got you, go for it."
I focus and concentrate as I try to transform, I then feel the pain I usually feel when I go into werewolf form, Remy then says.
"are you waiting for something, transform already."
I reply.
"I did transform."
I then think to myself.
"wait a second, did I just talk, that's not supposed to happen."
I look at my arms and see that I have not transformed, and with panic in my voice I ask Remy.
"what the hell just happened, I felt the same pain I usually feel when I transform, but I'm still human, why is this happening?"
she replies just as confused as I am.
"to be honest, I'm not sure, I've never heard of something like this happening, but maybe it could mean that your body is just to exhausted to transform at the moment, and if that is why then I guess there is nothing to worry about."
she pauses and as she helps me lay back down, she continues.
"for now just rest and when you think your body has recovered, we'll have you try again, alright?"
as I lay down Gresnor says.
"I'm sorry buddy, but maybe she's right, so don't worry about once your well rested you will probably be able to transform again."
as he closes his eyes to rest, he says.
"now go ahead and get your rest, because I'll be doing the same."
I then fall asleep, and while I was sleeping, I kept wondering about what was the thing that kept me from transforming.
"was it the dark purple liquid that burned my skin?"
I answer myself.
"I don't think that was it, if it was the dark purple liquid, I would have turned back to a human right there and then."
I then think to myself.
"the only thing I can think of is him using the undead conversion spell on me, maybe the fact that I somehow broke the spell, has something to do with it, because after I went back into human form and I didn't feel the same after that, so I'm hoping that this is only some kind of after effect and not something that is permanent."
I then also remember him mentioning having apartner that gave him eternal life, and if that is the case, then leaving those guys alone will be a much better idea then looking for them, so once I wake up I need to somehow convince Remy that we shouldn't try to get revenge against those guys, after I finished wondering in my thoughts, I finally fall into a deep sleep, and then after hours pass by, me and Gresnor wake up from our well needed rest, Remy notices us waking up, she approaches me and asks.
"how are you feeling?"
I reply.
"I feel refreshed and well rested."
she hands me a piece of uncooked meat and says.
"here you go, you're proabably hungry."
I grab the meat and I take a bite, immediately after taking a bite out of it, my gag reflex activates and I spit out the meat and I think to myself.
"what the hell, whenever I eat uncooked meat, I usually down it like it's nothing."
Remy notices and hands me over a nice cooked one, and I eat it like I normally do, then after finishing my food, I then say to Remy.
"alright imma give it one more try."
she nods, I then focus and concentrate once again, and then I feel the usual pain but Remy once again says.
"you still haven't transformed Collin."
I then think to myself in panic
"oh no, it's just as I feared, something's wrong."
