I approach Abigail, who is still on the ground laughing like a maniac, I then grab on to her robe and start dragging her across the sand, until I arrive to the ocean, I then say to Abigail.
"as much as I want to kill you right now, I'm going to hold back because I need answers."
she laughs and says.
"Kill me, you must be joking, we vampire lords don't die, and as for answers your no getting anything out of me."
I let out a fustrated sigh and the I stomp on her other kneecap, and as she screams in pain, I say to her with an agitated voice.
"that is not what I want to hear, and if you really are immortal, I'll make damn sure that you feel, pain unlike you've ever felt before, so before you die there are a few questions that I want answered."
she continues laughing as she asks.
"kill me huh, and how are you going to pull that off?"
I look up to the sky and reply.
"well I'm not going to kill you, but I know something that might just do it."
Abigail asks confused.
"what are you talking about?"
I respond in a serious manner.
"the sun, it should be rising soon."
she laughs nervously and replies.
"if you really think that, then you reall are an imbecile."
I look down at her and see that she is completely immobile, and as I sit next to where she is laying, I ask her.
"so how many more vampire lords are there?"
she doesn't respond, I sigh and then say.
"how about we make a deal, you answer all my questions and I'll get you to cover, so you won't burn from the sun."
she gives me a serious look and replies.
"alright then we got a deal, now drag me back to the fort."
I then think to myself.
"good then my suspicion about the sun killing her
could be true."
"answers first or the deal is off."
she snaps at me.
"then I'm not answering a damn thing."
and as I stand up to walk away, she begrudgingly replies.
"fine I'll answer you stupid questions."
I sit back down and reply.
"good that is what I like to hear, now tell me how many vampire lords are there not including you?"
she replies.
"about nine others, but they have not woken up."
"this is troubling, but if they have not woken up yet then it's not so bad."
I then ask.
"one of your vampire underling mentiones something about the King of Corpus, does he know about your existence?"
she responds.
"yeah, when he found out that I existed, he started sending criminals in his kingdom to me way, so as long as I stayed away from his kingdom."
I think to myself.
"so he was aware of Abigail's existence and kept it hidden from the other human kingdoms, if the others find out, a war could break out, I think it would be best to keep this information, to avoid that outcome."
as I rub my face, I ask.
"what was your objective with having Atlas attack the Lizardmen?"
"I wanted him to raise me an army, and since the Lizardmen already suffered alot of deaths during their civil war, it was the most fitting thing to do."
I follow up with another question.
"why did you want an army?"
she responds.
"obviously, I needed an army to finally cause the downfall of all mortal life."
in my mind I say.
"good thing I was able to prevent things from escalating that far, and the bad feeling I had about Abigail was correct and going after her, was the right decision."
she then asks impatiently.
"is that all?"
"yeah that is all."
she then says in with a raised voice
"now hurry up, and take me back to the fort before the sun rises."
I turn my back to her and I say coldly.
"you really think I was going to let you live, especially after killing my first love."
Abigail start angrily screaming.
"you bastard, I will make sure you die, and suffer for making a fool out of me!"
and as the sun starts rising, I turn around again and say to her.
"well good luck with that."
"I guess the whole sunlight thing is an actual weakness to these vampires."
I get closer to Abigail and I ask with confidence in my voice.
"how sad is it for you, that the cause of your death was a mortal?"
she responds with more screaming, and after a few minutes she finally stops moving, and then as I walk away I say.
"well I bid you farewell, Abigail The Vampire Lord."
after leaving her body that turned to ash, I power down from my silver eyes, and then two voices from the distance are calling out my name.
"Collin!"
I turn around and see Gresnor and Klein approaching me, I wave back to them and shout.
"I'm glad you guys are okay!"
and then tears start to form again, as I turn to look at Rosie's lifeless body, I approach her kneel down and break down sobbing uncontrollably, I then say to her softly.
"I'm so sorry, in the end I still wasn't strong enough to protect you."
I kept on crying for several minutes, while Gresnor and Klein just quietly watched me, and then when I finally stopped, I say to both of them.
"it's done. Abigail is dead, we did what we set out to do, now all that's left is to return Rosie's body to her parents and let them bury her properly."
Gresnor puts his hand on my shoulder and says with a somber voice.
"I'm sorry buddy, I wasn't strong enough, if only I could have dome more."
I shake my head and respond.
"it's alright, I feel the same way."
Klein then says.
"I'm no good at this stuff, but you have my condolences."
I reply.
"thank you Klein, I appreciate it."
after that exchange, I pick Rosie and put her over my shoulder, and then Gresnor asks.
"so what are you gonna do after we drop her off?"
i reply.
"honestly, I was planning on settling down with Rosie and starting a new life with her, but what just happened, made me realize that I can't settle yet, I need to be strong enough to protect everyone important in my life."
and before any of them get to respond to me, a female voice shouts at us.
"all three of you don't move a muscle!"
we turn around and I see a female elf with light brown hair and green eyes aiming at us with a bow that is visibly surrounded by some green mist, I then think to myself.
"shit, just when we thought things were over."
