Prince Dave cried his eyes out while holding the hand of his father, King Tully, I then think to myself.
"I feel bad for the kid, but we can't just sit here, when the vampires are out there causing destruction."
I put my hands on his shoulders and say.
"come on kid, we need to act now, or the vampires will destroy your kingdom completely."
he ignores me, and just continues to mourn, but then King Ryan, asks.
"what did you have in mind?"
I answer.
"get the healers, to heal me, Klein, Gresnor, Celeste and Ying, so we can go out there and help out the heroes fight off the vampires."
he nods and shouts at them.
"you heard the man, get to it!"
they quickly heal me, and as they leave the room to heal the others, King Ryan asks.
"can we actually stop them?"
I respond confidently.
"yes, we just need to hold their attention until the sun comes up."
"why the sun?"
I answer.
"it's their weakness."
this restores hope inside him and then he asks smiling.
"well the sun will come up shortly, so it shouldn't be a problem for you guys right?"
I answer.
"yeah, as long as we distract them and keep them focused on us."
the healers come back to let us know that the others have been healed, King Ryan then says.
"good luck Collin, make them regret starting a fight against us humans."
I nod and leave the room, where the others are at waiting for me."
Gresnor says.
"we're ready, just give us the word."
Klein nods and says.
"I'm with you, no matter what happens."
Celeste then says with a determined voice.
"this time, I won't abandon you."
I look to Ying who is just sitting down, and staring at the wall, with a blank expression, I then ask.
"can I count on you Ying?"
he doesn't answer, but Celeste does.
"it's fine, let him get him get his rest, we'll take care of this threat."
I sigh and say.
"okay then, open a portal for us Celeste."
she nods and as she opens one, I say to Ying.
"I'll be counting on you."
we then step through the portal together and come out onto the courtyard from the other side, and I see the same heroes and elves still fighting the apprentices in their gargoyle form using magic, I then shout so they can hear me.
"did you idiots forget that magic is ineffective against them!"
I look back to Celeste, Klein, and Gresnor and say.
"remember keep them busy until the sun comes up"
all of us run and join in with the others, James sees me and says while firing, spears made of his liquid metal magic.
"took you long enough to join the fight leader."
I chuckle.
"better late the never."
he laughs sarcastically and asks.
"so how do we deal with these damned flying monsters, they haven't given us a chance to fight them physically?"
I ask.
"have you guys tried clipping their wings."
he answers annoyed.
"obviously that's what we've been doing this whole time."
I take look at them frustrated because I don't have an answer to this, but then I hear Katie shout.
"look at that one, it is attacking it's own."
I look at Katie pointing at gargoyle attacking its own like she said, and I think to myself."
"that's Rosie."
after realizing this, I run towards Celeste and say to her while pointing at Rosie.
"speak into the mind of that one, and tell it that to pick up Collin."
she asks baffled.
"what why?"
I answer desperately.
"please trust me on this."
she hesitates a little, but then ends up doing it, and immediately after she did that, Rosie makes eye contact with and swoops down to pick me up with both her hands, and as we ascend to the sky, I shout to Rosie.
"listen closely, I want you to drop me on each of their backs, so that I can rip off their wings!"
she gives me a slight nod, and as we close the distance to one of them, I chant.
"silver eyes."
Rosie tosses me the back of one of them, and before it got to react to me being on it's back, I use all of my strength to rip off both wings, and as we fall down together, Rosie quickly flies by and stops me from falling down, I then shout at her.
"good just like that, now let's do it to all of them!"
and just like that we took all ten apprentices by surprise with our tactic, leaving them dumbfounded and as the last one crashes to the ground, I shout to Rosie.
"leave me with them!"
she dives down to leave me with the rest, and then she flies away disappearing into the distance, I then say to myself.
"at least you could have waited for me to say thank you."
I then focus my attention back to the wingless apprentices and yell at my allies.
"alright it's time to overwhelm with our physical strength!"
James makes a remark.
"you bastards aren't tough without your wings!"
after getting overwhelmed by our numbers, the apprentices, reverted back to their human forms, I then think to myself with hope restored.
"we might actually stand a chance against the vampire lords, if we all fight together."
Celeste invades my mind.
"it's all because of you Master Collin, if it wasn't for you, they would have caused more damage."
as they continue to beat them down, I respond in my thoughts.
"thank you for the compliment, but I didn't do this alone."
I look up to the sky and see that the sun is finally starting to rise, I then shout.
"keep them down, and don't let them escape!"
I rush in a keep on them pinned under my foot, and then I ask angry.
"where is your vampire lord?"
the apprentice chuckles.
"you will see them soon enough."
I stomp on his c.h.e.s.t a couple of times not feeling satisfied with the answer he gave me, I then ask another question.
"what was the point if this attack, was it because of me?"
what I said caught his attention, he then asks.
"are you Collin Belfaust?"
I put my pressure on his c.h.e.s.t and I answer.
"yes, so answer my damn question."
he chuckles.
"yes, the vampire lords agreed with Lord Vernon, that you were a threat that needed to be dealt with."
I put even more pressure, and reply with a grin.
"well guess what, they were right to fear me, I already disposed of Lord Vernon."
and just as he was about to say something, the sun began to burn him and the other vampire apprentices, while we all just stare at them as they scream in agony, until their bodies turned into burnt crisp, James then asks in disbelief.
"did we do it?"
I respond as I power down from silver eyes.
"I think so."
I take a deep breath and I say to all of them.
"let's go inform the kings, so that we can decide on how we are going to deal with this."
we all started walking back inside the palace, but we are stopped Rosie, who is standing in the shade, and then everyone reacts preparing to fight her, but I stand in between them with both my hands stretched out and say.
"hold on, she's our side."
she adds on.
"indeed what he said is true, and not only that, I have some important information, that you may all want to know."
James shouts at her in disgust.
"then speak you vile monster!"
she clicks her tongue at him and answers.
"the mass attack on the human and elf kingdoms
was meant to send a message to all mortals, and to also draw out my darling Collin."
James then shouts at me.
"you bastard, you were associating with the enemy this whole time!"
I shout back.
"shut up and let her speak, or I will go over there and make you shut up!"
I look back to Rosie and said.
"go ahead."
she clears her throat.
"they are planning on another major attack."
I reply.
"it doesn't matter, we will be ready for them and they will again."
she responds with concern.
"but next time it will be the end for all of you."
I ask.
"what makes you say that."
she answers.
"they plan to permanently block out the sun."
I stare at her, terrified with the prospect of the vampire lords getting rid of their one weakness.
