Chapter 130 - An Old Friend

I chant to myself.

"silver eyes."

I then jump out of the carriage and confront the werewolf, we stare at each other for a good while, until I say.

"if you don't get out of here, I won't hesitate to kill you."

the werewolf tilts it's head to side like it was looking for an opening, but I shout at it.

"don't try it!"

Jill shouts.

"Collin, get out of there, that thing will hurt you!"

she then shouts.

"lighting bolt!"

a one foot, lighting bolt whizzes by me, and hits the ground the werewolf was standing on, as he leaps forward towards me, I shout.

"alright, I warned you!"

the werewolf tries to hit me with one of his claws, but I block it with and counter it with an uppercut to his jaw, knocking the werewolf back into human form, and as I approach the limp body, Jill shouts.

"is it dead!?"

I shout back.

"no, I knocked it out!"

I then think to myself.

"damn it, now they are going to know that werewolves exist."

as Jill, Grace and Bell jump out of the carriage and approach the body, I scan the forest with my silver eyes to see if there any others around, and I stop when I spot a few body heat signatures grouped together in the distance, I then shout to three of them while I take off.

"tie him up, he's not alone!"

Jill shouts back.

"hold on, don't go alone!"

I ignore her, and run towards there position, I then think to myself.

"if they are with him, I've got to prevent them from transforming into werewolves."

I surprise them when I arrive, but a woman with dark brown hair with the hair tied back in a ponytail and with an eye patch covering her left eye, catches my attention and my emotions get overwhelmed, I then ask with my voice cracking slightly.

"Remy is that you?"

she gives me a cold response.

"oh, it's you."

baffled, by how she responded to me ask.

"hey, what's wrong?"

she ignores my question and orders the other three.

"take him out."

but before they even got a chance to do anything,

I knock all three of them out, with efficiency, Remy chuckles.

"of course, they wouldn't a chance against you."

"what hell are you doing?"

she replies.

"just teaching, my new clan members."

I respond.

"okay, but why did one of yours, attack the merchant back there?"

she replies.

"we need supplies, so I sent him to get some."

I ask confused.

"but didn't you kill our former comrades, for doing the same thing you are doing now?"

"I'm guessing our mutual friend, Klein told you about that."

she then asks.

"so how is he?"

I answer somberly.

"he died, fighting against a great evil hell bent on dominating this world."

she sighs.

"well, I can't say I didn't see that coming."

she chuckles.

"it's funny, everything fell apart after Sid, brought you into our group."

"its not my fault the group fell apart, you were emotionally exhausted after Sid's death and now here you are with a new group, attacking innocents."

her voice breaks, as tears begin to fall down her face.

"I lost everything, my life with my husband, Sid a very close friend, and Klein who abandoned me, to go with you."

I sigh, and then ask with sympathy.

"is your husband still alive at Corpus?"

confused on why I asked, answers.

"yeah I believe, he is still there, why are you asking?"

I reply.

"I could pull some strings and have you reunited with your husband."

"how?"

I reply with a smile on my face.

"since I helped defeat, the vampire lords, every king in the human kingdom, owe me, and I'm sure

I can get you royal protection, so you can go back."

with hope in her filling her eye, she asks.

"so what do you want me to do?"

I reply.

"nothing, I don't want to see an old friend of mine, suffering."

she breaks down in tears and hugs me.

"thank you, Collin, I don't know how I'm going to repay you."

I smile.

"just live a happy life with your husband, when you reunite with him."

she then clears her throat.

"okay, let's me rid of these guys first."

I ask.

"why?"

she answers.

"all of them are murderers."

she takes out a dagger, and stabs all three of them in the head, without hesitating, she then asks.

"where is the guy, you ran into?"

I answer.

"we have him tied up, back on the main road."

she replies.

"alright, once we get there, make your friends understand, that he is too dangerous to be kept alive."

I respond.

"that shouldn't be a problem."

we make our way back to the main road where Jill, Grace and Bell, shout at Remy while pointing their enchanted weapons.

"step away from him, you monster!"

I get in front of Remy, and I shout.

"relax she is with us!"

Jill responds as she points her finger at the tied up man.

"no Collin, she is also like this man, a werewolf."

I slowly approach the carriage and sigh.

"yeah, I know, but Remy is an old friend of mine."

she puts her weapon down and replies.

"okay, just make sure, she doesn't try anything stupid though."

I look back to Remy and reply to Jill.

"trust me, she won't."

I then point at the man tied up.

"but we must kill him, apparently he is too dangerous to keep around alive."

she replies.

"well he is a werewolf after all, so I'm not against killing him."

she then asks Remy.

"so you're not against this right."

Remy shakes her head.

"of course not, I was the one who told Collin that he was too dangerous to be kept alive."

Jill uses her enchanted sword, by lightning, to cut off his head, she then says to Grace.

"tie her up, we will take her along with us."

Remy looks to me asks.

"is that really necessary?"

I answer.

"don't worry about it, I'll make sure that they don't harm you."

after tying up Remy, we hop back onto the carriage, to a very thankful Joseph, who gets his carriage moving again, Jill sits next to me and says.

"I told you werewolves exist."

I reply.

"yeah, I know you did."

she then asks.

"so how do you know that monster?"

I respond.

"if I tell you, can you keep it between us?"

she nods.

"sure."

I reply.

"I'm also a werewolf, which is how I know Remy, and I was there, during the fight against the vampires, and vampire lords."

overloaded with what I said, she responds.

"that can't be true, I'm not detecting you as a monster."

I reply.

"well once I got my silver eyes, I was able to avoid being detected as a monster."

the whole ride to Mons, I went into explicit detail, about my involvement with the fight vampires and why I'm doing quests with the adventure's guild.
